Talk about staged..
I understand that if you get to host the something you think is as prestigious as the Olympics, and notice that I said “you think” because frankly I think the Olympics are massively overrated and meaningless when you allow a totalitarian state to run the show just so they can improve their image, but the Chinese have taken this to a new level. The other night my wife told me that there where no ugly people in China. When I asked her to elaborate she pointed out that all the Chinese fans looked beautiful. No flaws, fat people, or strange looking ones. I asked her if she thought that was a coincidence in a totalitarian state and she had a hard time wrapping her mind around the fact that the Chinese would even stage the fans. But this is not so far fetched. The latest story of a set up involves a child that sang the Chinese anthem, a looker, which lip synched because the singer was not attractive enough. Before this the Chinese played loose with many of the stunning effects people saw on TV during the opening ceremony. And I bet there are countless other staged and controlled incidents, all to make people think China is a perfect place. The Chi-Comms have gone all out to make sure they come out looking good after this. We should not forget that while the Chinese people are not bad, their country is still run by evil old totalitarian men that still dream about expanding their power. It is just no longer couched as spreading the people’s revolution because the people running China have abandoned most of the drivel that went along with brutally taking power and using it.
