When they tell you they want every vote counted..

Remember that they mean every vote that helps them win being counted. They really do not care about every vote being counted at all. Especially votes that they know are not going to be for them. Want proof? Look at who is sponsoring a bill to help them collect and to count all military absentee ballots: only republicans. And one of the left’s big propaganda organs and donor, a union, is dead set against it.

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, has introduced legislation that would allow absentee ballots to be sent via Federal Express to those serving in the military, although there reportedly is resistance from the postal union. “It should be a national scandal that, here, our men and women in uniform who are protecting our freedom who are exposing themselves to harm are being denied the most basic civil right, and that is the right to vote,” Cornyn said. Cornyn has 29 co-sponsors to his Military Voting Protection Act, all of them Republican.

Do not let democrats tell you they want every vote counted. They do not. In fact they prefer as few as possible military votes be counted because the military tends to vote republican by as much as 80%+. And there are quite a few of them which can make some impact on national elections.

The bipartisan Election Assistance Commission found that of the nearly 1 million absentee ballots sent out for the 2006 election, only 300,000 actually were counted. Some estimate the low return of absentee ballots meant 400,000 service members’ votes overseas weren’t counted.

Nice to know that not only do most democrats only pay lip service to our servicemen, but that they actually like to deny them their right when they are busy protecting us all overseas.
