Bad MSM analysis..

It looks like the MSM is out there trying to explain away Obama’s sinking numbers, and guess what they blame it all on? A partisan gap. And they prove that by claiming that Obama is seeing such a big difference, not because what he is doing is unprecedented, and only supported by kool-aid drinkers, but because democrats in the first months of the Bush Administration where a lot less partisan than republicans are today. No seriously, read this:

For all of his hopes about bipartisanship, Barack Obama has the most polarized early job approval ratings of any president in the past four decades. The 61-point partisan gap in opinions about Obama’s job performance is the result of a combination of high Democratic ratings for the president—88% job approval among Democrats—and relatively low approval ratings among Republicans (27%).

By comparison, there was a somewhat smaller 51-point partisan gap in views of George W. Bush’s job performance in April 2001, a few months into his first term. At that time, Republican enthusiasm for Bush was comparable to how Democrats feel about Obama today, but there was substantially less criticism from members of the opposition party. Among Democrats, 36% approved of Bush’s job performance in April 2001; that compares with a 27% job approval rating for Obama among Republicans today.

I guess the people that compiled this pap that passes for news think nobody remembers the first months of the Bush Administration. Reality gives those of us unaffected by this recent lapse of memory a different feel for things. Democrats during the first months of the Bush Administration where far more partisan than republicans are today. Anyone remember the “Stolen election”, “Selected, not elected”, and many other lies spread by the left after Al Gore’s army of lawyers & the democrat friendly Florida SCOTUS failed to steal the 2000 election for the democrat candidate? I certainly do. The difference between democrats then and republicans today is that democrats resorted to fabricating issues where there were none, while Obama has really dropped the ball, and dropped it big time.

The big complaint back in 2001 was that Bush stole the election. There wasn’t much else about the work being done in DC for the left to chafe about. Despite the burst of the tech and dot com bubbles, the economy was moving along, Americans had jobs, and government was actually doing the work of the people as best as it could. Thins are really different now. Democrats that spent the last 2 years before the election complaining about our deficit spending (when they held the reigns of power in Congress and basically controlled the budget) and the national debt only to set new records in government spending and debt in less than a few months after they won the election! The Obama Administration has been riddled by one scandal after the other, dropped the ball on every international and national issue of note, and if it had gotten the same treatment from the MSM that Bush did, would right now be setting record low numbers for approval, period.

While I do not dismiss the fact many republicans disapprove of Obama simply because he is a democrat, the track record of this administration leaves no doubt that they deserve their low numbers. The economic ramifications of the disastrous Obama policies will not just be far reaching, but will cripple this country. The news should focus on the Obama appointees that do not have a problem. If they are not tax cheats, there are some other scandals. This weekend we found out they won’t let the banks pay back TARP money because they do not want to relinquish control likely to cover up the involvement of the democrats now manning the WH in this economic crisis. They have dropped the ball and politicized the justice department. And our foreign policy has been a disaster. The number of political and diplomatic bungles by these geniuses would have earned the Bush Administration unlimited scorn. We only hear about it in the foreign media. And that love we where promised if Obama was elected sure feels like prison love. America has failed one test after the other. Russia, China, Iran, and even North Korea. We stupidly went to the UN after this crisis where nothing happened. At least Obama’s idiotic and totally meaningless call to get rid of nukes was exposed as the ramblings of a dangerous ideologue. And the list of mistakes goes on.

Don’t let the media fool you. Obama’s numbers should be a lot lower. The fact is that even amongst the kool-aid drinkers some are realizing this guy is a disaster. And we have not even reached the one year mark yet! Oh, the MSM will try hard to cover for this guy, but Americans are realizing they have no clue what they are doing. And that’s what these polls are showing.
