While the usual crowd in the MSM has danced carefully around the news that oil prices are dropping for a third straight day and have avoided pointing out that the reason is probably and totally tied to the Bush Administration basically signing off on an end to the off-shore drilling moratorium, the democrats are still saying they do not want to go along and want to undermine the whole deal. Of course the usual suspects in the WH go out of their way to say that the evil oil masters in the WH have threatened a veto! The reason for the lefts opposition is well explained in this David Fredoso article. Basically the democrats love the fact that oil is expensive because it helps their socialist agenda. However admitting that they really don’t care for the small guy like they tell us at every opportunity will be disastrous for them politically so they play along and claim that whatever idiotic actions they take are directing at addressing the issue when they know damn well it will do nothing.
