How idiotic!

The big news in this story we are told is that this evil unkie bastard has been sentenced to 1933 years, almost 2K years of prison for his crime of infecting nearly 300 people with Hepatits C as he took hits from their morphine shots. However if you read the whole thing you wil find a little tid bit of real importance:

Juan Maeso, 65, was sentenced to 1,933 years in prison in the sentence handed by the Valencia Provincial Court. The most he can serve under Spanish law is 20 years.

So what the hell does this sentence really mean? Nothing. It is all feel good crap by feel good socialists. I bet you this guy not only lives to get out of jail - he is 65 years old - but does so in under 10 years. Now if he had only actually killed some people, considering how grand socialist laws are, he might have gotten off in 5 years.

Back from the dead

image

Well Jim K. was nice enough to get me back up and running after that desastrous failure that basically tanked hard drive and lost us all our data. But like the Phoenix of old legend we are back from the ashes fittingly on a day we commemorate one of the most gruesome attacks made against us in 2001: September 11th. He also has me up & running in the latest & greatest of environements, and it is making life easy. Thanks very much Jim!

Recovery

Alex’s blog was part of the catastrophic loss of data chronicled here.  The reason I wasn’t able to restore Alex’s archives is because his software version before the crash was 1.01, and something was preventing me from upgrading.  The EE guys couldn’t figure it out and neither could I.

Alex, I still have your original database and if we ever figure out a way to import old entries, I’ll do it.

Good news is, this is the absolute latest build of ExpressionEngine and the gallery is working!  smile
