Obligatory post on the left’s assalt on those of us angry at their tyranical actions

You would think that after such a monumentous victory as the left pretends their ramming through the government takeover of healthcare bill we refer to as Obamacare was supposed to be, that if they really thought they had served the will of the people and done something that was good for America and Americans, they wouldn’t be so focused on burying the story by shifting focus to those that oppose it.

When people calling Bush a Nazi, it was because of dignified anger. When Hollywood produces movies where Bush was murdered or soldiers are portrayed as villainous barbaric morons, it’s because of justified anger. When immature students on the dole riot on college campuses because they are told they have to do more than rely on government handouts to subsidize their college partying years, it is dignified anger. When animal rights douches douse rich folks wearing coats with paint, it is dignified anger. When environmental wackos force things to happen that cost people jobs, destroy other people’s property, or even kill people when engaged in real acts of terrorism, it is because of dignified anger. When collectivists in government label military vets as war criminals ready to turn into right wing terrorists, and the left gets mad at them and calls them names, that’s justified anger. When leftist twits wish death upon the people they hate on the right, that’s justified anger.

The right hasn’t been responsible for collectivist ideologies that have murdered hundreds of millions, imprisoned billions, and in general been some of the most vile and horrific expressions of man’s evil towards man the last century or so: the left and what it believes in, is responsible for that. People on the left that believe in this vile stuff and act, or incite others to act in anger, become heroes. People on the right that are indignant that their government has ignored their will and screwed us all over, are painted as evil. Even worse, most of the evidence of this bad behavior seems to be made up whole cloth. Do you really believe that if these lying scumbags had evidence of this behavior, that it wouldn’t be doing the rounds 24/7 on the usual DNC outlets that comprise the MSM? In this day of phone cameras and people filming everything, what are the odds? Instead it is all circumstantial bull followed up by letters asking people to donate money to the DNC.

Let us not let the left set the tone or focus of this discussion. Focus on the real issue, and what should be the story: the tyrannical way that government went about taking over our healthcare system, and the massive infringement on our freedoms that comes with that takeover. This stuff about angry tea partiers is nothing but a distraction. It is intended to shift the focus away from the royal screwing that we just got by the left. Don’t fall for it. Whenever this stuff comes up, don’t waste time apologizing or trying to distance yourself from their accusations – likely to be fabricated anyway – and focus on the problem at hand: how Obama and the democrats just royally fucked over all Americans.

O’Keefe update..

Looks like all the liberal morons that got all excited about O’Keefe’s the government’s reaction stunt to show Marry Landrieu of Louisiana’s office’s disregard for their constituents, and were all happy to tell us O’Keefe was a criminal and hence his expose on the crime syndicate ACRON was null & void, are going to again be very disappointed about their premature ejaculations. Of course this tuff won’t be doing the rounds much in the MSM, where the bullshit and lying that favors the left’s agenda and narrative are front and center, but the retractions and revelation of the real facts in a story that hurts the lefts agenda, rarely happen.

NEW ORLEANS, March 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/—Joseph Basel, age 24, Stan Dai, age 24, Robert Flanagan, age 24, and James O’Keefe, age 25, were charged in a one-count bill of information with entering real property of the United States under false pretenses, a misdemeanor, announced the U. S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Want to know what these guys “crime” was? They were filming the LA office of Landrieu avoiding the angry calls of their constituents. Looks like they never did anything to or intended to do anything to phone exchange, as the leftist twits pretended, when the whole made up story came out front page in every liberal rag. You aren’t going to get 24/7 news cycle coverage now correcting all the bullshit though, because the story no longer fits the agenda. The government’s sole recourse after the whole episode was to charge them with a misdemeanor, and that’s probably so they can keep the embarrassing video O’Keefe made for this story away from the public for as long as possible.

Obamacare guarantees a single payer system

Now that Obamacare is the law of the land, and likely to stay so, we should have a look at what this means for everyone. Before you make the case that we can repeal this behemoth, understand this: to roll this back we will need a majority of people that are opposed to it - meaning republicans - in both the house and the senate. That means 60+ republicans in the senate and a majority in the house. Then we would need the house and the senate to agree on the bill in question to make it law and be bale to send it to the president. If this happens while Obama is president we will need 66-67 senators and 290 congress critters - that’s 2/3s out of a 100 member senate and a 435 member house for those wondering - to override the presidential veto. That’s the reality the democrats banked on, and why Biden dropped the f-bomb on national TV, the idiots that wanted blood when Cheney did it, are making excuses for Biden, the snooty left is talking about the end of the “American Empire” - they forgot to add their usual “Evil” prefix – and democrat John Dingell has no problem saying that Obamacare will allow them to eventually control the people. They think they have won. When republicans now also talk about fixing what’s wrong with Obamacare instead of repealing it, you can see why demcorats feel that way. This country has now made a permanent shift to the left, and the odds are there is no going back.

Considering the above, it should be obvious that reversing this disaster is statistically as likely to happen as Obama and the demcorats admitting they have screwed us, and screwed us hard. Not saying we shouldn’t try, but understand what the obstacles and chances are before we start this fight, so we do not fall short. And no, I am not trying to prevent or discourage people from pursuing the repeal of this monstrosity. We need to try, even if we fail. What I am doing is pointing out how stupid the people that let the demcorats gain this majority in the last election cycle, due to whatever reason, principled or not, were. They are the ones to blame for this disaster happening. How well did your “principles” serve you now? Elections have consequences, and this one hada doozy of a consequence. And the collectivists don’t think they are done yet. Thanks!

Back to my point about the end goal of Obamacare now that I got that little rant out of the way. The demcorats are banking that Obamacare is a done deal, and that it will politically be a big win for them, even if it costs them in the short run. And they are also banking on it leading to that single payer system they pretended to drop. Hear me out, here.

Obamacare basically imposes a tax or penalty on those that don’t buy healthcare. That tax currently is so low that it behooves practically everyone to pay it and avoid likely higher insurance premiums. After all, when you do get sick you can just go out and get insurance anyway. Insurance companies will find themselves with a gigantic pool of sick people. Considering that scenario where the only people buying insurance are the ones that need costly medical care and government is capping insurance costs, expect private insurance companies to go under, and do so very quickly. When that happens the collectivists in government will step in to save us! They will use this crisis opportunity, or as Rahm Emanuel pointed out, and take over the insurance business going under.

Now you could argue that the fix is to make the penalty bigger than the cost, but that’s not going to happen until they have their single payer system. Sooner than later government will be in charge of all insurance and thus control a single-payer system. Actually they won’t need a penalty because you won’t have a choice. You will pay whatever they want and suffer crappy government controlled and rationed healthcare, and learn to like it. We have traded freedom for the illusion of security, and as Ben Franklin long ago and eloquently pointed out, we will end with what we deserve: neither.

Holder gets a short reprieve

It looks like the WH has handed Eric Holder a reprieve, and just 24 hours before he was to appear in front of the Senate, to answer to the plethora of questions his embarrassing testimonies have resulted in, for today, rescheduled his senate appearance, using the excuse he was needed there when the demcorats sign away our future and try to make Obamacare the law of the land.

US Attorney General Eric Holder was scheduled to have a chat with the Senate today, but, with less than 24 hours on the clock, it was rescheduled for April 14. The postponement is possibly due to the signing of the health care bill, but Republicans think Holder might be glad for the extra time. No matter when it happens, it will not be a passive event. The hearing is officially billed as “oversight of the Department of Justice” but general consensus is he’ll face strong questioning over his decision (which seems more and more likely to be reversed) to try some of the alleged 9/11 masterminds in federal court. The Wall Street Journal has a full report today on criticisms lobbed from both the left and the right and suggest that “the controversies provoked by his decisions threaten to derail his career...”

Holder has huge problems he needs to address. First off, will be an explanation of his DOJ which wants to try terrorists in civilian court will circumvent the obvious strategy by every defense team to demand the government disclose vital secrets and methods of operation against the terrorists that the government doesn’t want to. The fact of the matter is that there is no way to do this successfully in a civilian court unless the trial is rigged and just for show anyway, and Holder knows it. Any defense attorney worth his salt would demand the US disclose everything about how they go after terrorists, national security be damned, and hope that the government when it opted to keep critical procedures, informants, or operational tactics secret, would end up destroying its case. Civilian courts do not really care for or tend to allow secrets, even those with national security implications, from excusing the government from meeting those legal obligations.

At this point nobody that is sane disputes the second point, that this DOJ, despite the claims they were showing more deference to and confidence in our judicial system than the evil Bush clique and their military tribunals - basically switching to treating terrorists at war with us as common criminals - actually intended these trials to be anything but show trials. The choice of New York, where the 9-11 attacks occurred, backs that up. But the killer was Holder’s guarantee during one of his recent meetings to testify to our political class, that all the defendants would be found guilty. I don’t know about you, but I was always thought our system, in an effort to provide fairness and give everyone a chance to prove their innocence, couldn’t guarantee results like Holder promised, unless of course the verdict was already predetermined, and the rest is just for show.

The fact is that the DOJ itself admitted that military commissions would do a better job to in their written submission to these kinds of questions for the congressional committee. There is no disputing that the DOJ admits in this written report that the Classified Information Protection Act (CIPA) that would govern federal courts - where they want to try terrorists like common criminals - offer inferior protections to critical national security and operations secrets compared to those provided by military commissions. In fact, they point out they would have to make changes to CIPA to get similar protection offered by a military tribunal. Here is the relevant passage from the DOJ report:

28. Under the Classified Information Protection Act (CIPA), the government may pursue an interlocutory appeal from orders “authorizing the disclosure of classified information . . . or refusing a protective order sought by the United States to prevent the disclosure of classified information.” 18 U.S.C. App. § 7(a). In United States v. Moussaoui, 333 F.3d 509 (4th Cir. 2003), the Fourth Circuit held CIPA did not authorize interlocutory appeals from orders related to the “pretrial disclosure of classified information to the defendant or his attorneys.” Id. at 514.

a. Do you agree that under the Moussaoui decision, the government may not seek immediate review of certain decisions authorizing the pretrial disclosure of classified information? If not, please explain your answer.

Response: In cases involving CIPA within the Fourth Circuit, under the Moussaoui decision, appellate courts lack jurisdiction under CIPA § 7 to entertain an interlocutory appeal by the United States of a district court order allowing a criminal defendant to depose a witness who may possess classified information.

b. Senator Kyl has offered legislation, including an amendment in Committee, to amend CIPA to address the deficiencies in CIPA. Given your decision to try Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and others in federal court, do you support legislation to address gaps in CIPA that could lead to disclosure of classified information?

Response: While CIPA has generally worked well in both protecting classified information and ensuring fair trials, there may be certain portions which could be usefully updated and clarified. The Administration has not yet taken a position on possible legislation to improve CIPA.

And I am even more interested in getting answers from Holder about his previous claim that some 300 hundred terrorists had successfully prosecuted in criminal court and are now in the prison system. If you read the answer in their report it is obvious that they have either “misplaced and/or can’t find” the documents to back their claims, or were lying, and are now stalling to avoid the embarrassment of this idiotic assertion. I vote the later. April 14th will be here sooner than later though, and then Holder can make a bigger jackass out of himself yet again. This is going to be fun to follow.

And the propaganda to make this turd a gourmet meal starts..

Want to see what kind of disservice the MSM is doing the American people? Check out how this this ridiculous and factually challenged AP article reports the demcorats screwing us over and passing one of the most unpopular bills ever.

WASHINGTON – A transformative health care bill is headed to President Barack Obama for his signature as Congress takes the final steps in Democrats’ improbable and history-making push for near-universal medical coverage. On the cusp of succeeding where numerous past congresses and administrations have failed, jubilant House Democrats voted 219-212 late Sunday to send legislation to Obama that would extend coverage to 32 million uninsured Americans, reduce deficits and ban insurance company practices such as denying coverage to people with pre-existing medical conditions.

Where is the mention of the unpopularity of this bill? Something close to 70% of the American people are against this monstrosity, passed during already dark economic times, and sure to cause all us normal working - for those of us still employed, that is - people even more heartache. Where is the mention that this bill passed on a clear partisan line? Is this so nobody can use this article in the future to point out it was one political party that screwed this country over? And I love all the hedging and hemming and hawing: “improbable and history-making”, “cusp of succeeding”. WTF?

And then we have the lies! I think we should all seriously hope that there will not be 32 million new covered members. That number is false to begin with, as it includes all illegals, those young kids that are already covered by their parent’s insurance but not counted as covered, or those that choose not to buy insurance - mostly the young and healthy, again - and is closer to 1/3 of that number. But that still means we will be adding some 10 million plus people to the ranks of those that are now going to be getting “free coverage”, and that’s going to burden a system where many in the medical profession - especially the older and more experienced physicians that simply do not need the hassle of dealing with government and their regulatory crap - are already looking at early retirement.

And the idiotic notion that a front loaded plan which taxes us for 10 years but covers us for 5 or 6 of those years, towards the end of that taxation, saving money, can only work if you are a math challenged leftist twit. Ignore the fact that the projected cost, always rosy as can be, will be orders of magnitude more expensive than predicted. The whole economic model used guarantees us - best case scenario, mind you - at a minimum a nearly $1 trillion gap for the next decade. There is going to have to be massive access controls and even more burdensome taxes to feed this monster. There will be no real deficit reduction of any kind tied to this government takeover of healthcare, no matter what accounting gimmick is used to pretend otherwise.

Finally we have the notion that people with pre-existing conditions will no longer be denied coverage. Well, I guess that’s not a real lie, since they are going to have to deny or delay access for people without pre-existing conditions as well to prevent the cost of this “free healthcare” thingy from bankrupting the federal government in months after it goes live. I agree this was one of the things they did need to fix with our current system, but the cure they have used to patch this malaise will make it all worse.

“This is what change looks like,” Obama said later in televised remarks that stirred memories of his 2008 campaign promise of “change we can believe in.”

Oh, I can pull out the joke about change being what’s left in our pockets because of these corruptocrats, but now that it looks to be imminent and real, it is not as funny anymore.

Obama’s young presidency received a much needed boost from passage of the legislation, which would touch the lives of nearly every American. The battle for the future of the health insurance system — affecting one-sixth of the economy — galvanized Republicans and conservative activists looking ahead to November’s midterm elections.

Yeah, Obama’s young presidency scored a big win at the expense of the American people, and by assuring the destruction of all that which made us an exceptional nation. Great stuff. Better get used to unemployment numbers close to 20% and crappy European-style healthcare, with all the long waiting periods and other consequences of the cost controls, if this stuff isn’t reversed, and reversed fast. And now that they have got this monster rolling for them, watch them do more destructive things just like it. After all, they are winners now! Even if the rest of us are going to lose big because of it.

Sen. John McCain said Monday morning that Democrats have not heard the last of the health care debate, and said he was repulsed by “all this euphoria going on.”

Why the surprise that democrats are happy they have yet again done irreparable damage to this great country, set us on the course for bankruptcy at an even faster pace, drastically expanded government’s reach and curtailed oru freedoms in one fell swoop, and even worse, are now pretending this is a good thing? Put lipstick on this pig, and tell people they are looking at a “hawt” date! And the bullshit rolls on.

The complicated two-step approval process was made necessary because Senate Democrats lost their filibuster-proof supermajority in a special election in January, a setback that caused even some Democratic lawmakers to pronounce the yearlong health care effort dead. Under the relentless prodding of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in particular, it was gradually revived, and the fix-it bill will be considered under fast-track Senate rules that don’t allow minority party filibusters.

WTF? No, demcorats didn’t have an issue with a lack of a fool proof majority. That never went away despite the lies to the contrary. Their problem was the many demcorats that were worried about the coming elections, and how it would play out if they implemented this monstrosity they knew was unpopular with the American people. Basically the leadership bribed and threatened enough of the membership to go along with this economy destroying plan. Speaking of which. I wonder how much more this will really cost us considering the many bribes that needed to be made. My guess is that we will also soon see those moneys in the patronage bill that have not yet been spent, and maybe even some more other loot passed under other bills, going out en masse, so the targeted recipients can fill up the campaign coffers of the democrat party before the coming November elections. The demcorats must have promised these incumbents facing the music some major cash to help them steal their elections back.

“We will be joining those who established Social Security, Medicare and now, tonight, health care for all Americans,” said Pelosi, D-Calif., partner to Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in the grueling campaign to pass the legislation.

Yeah, SS is already projected to go broke in the next decade or quarter century, depending on who is fudging the numbers to pretend that pyramid scheme works. And the current healthcare takeover is going to supposedly gut Medicare. And that’s the things they see as victory. We have drastically expanded the liability and responsibility of an already bloated and dying government to the tune of 1/6th of the American economy, but this is a great thing! These bastards won, but America and Americans, lost. Especially the working ones. Get ready to see the ranks of the poor swell. Of course, these reporters aren’t going to write about that or link it to this disaster, ever.

“This is the civil rights act of the 21st century,” added Rep. Jim Clyburn of South Carolina, the top-ranking black member of the House.

Yeah, healthcare is a right nowadays. Soon we will also need to have new rights giving access to soup kitchens and homeless shelters, to feed and house the many that will suffer the indignity of being totally dependant on government for their subsistence, as the real economic impact of this government takeover plays out. Wait until they tell you gas at $8 or more a gallon and rationed energy are also your rights.

The measure would also usher in a significant expansion of Medicaid, the federal-state health care program for the poor. The insurance industry, which spent millions on advertising trying to block the bill, would come under new federal regulation. Parents would be able to keep children up to age 26 on their family insurance plans.

I hope the idiot reporter that wrote this crap ends up unemployed and suffering the consequences of their lying. The insurance companies were not the only ones fighting this. The majority of the American people were against this government takeover. Nary a peep about that in this fluff propaganda piece. At least the condescending reported didn’t write about the objection by the American people and then belittle us by saying that we were too stupid to know what was best for us. Thank the power’s that be – the almighty state – that the elite knew what was best for us and ignored our wishes.

Obama watched the vote in the White House’s Roosevelt Room with Vice President Joe Biden and dozens of aides, exchanged high fives with Rahm Emanuel, his chief of staff, and then telephoned Pelosi with congratulations.

I have it on good authority that they spend more time watching the NCAA tournament games than this fiasco. Don’t worry though, we have the best people in charge. They are setting us up to fundamentally change this country - for the worse - at a record setting and breakneck speed. I can’t wait for the massacre in the coming elections. We need to roll this thing back ASAP unless we want to destroy our county’s future.

What all that borrowing will cause..

Our collectivists in DC, the same ones that won big in the last 2 election cycles by hammering the fiscal irresponsibility of the party in charge then, are now setting new records of irresponsibility. They are borrowing and printing money as if the Fed was a cash outlet for the Monopoly game. There has been talk of inflation, probably to mirror that during the last demcorat president to share the same idiotic beliefs as this one - it’s not coincidental that they are battling each other out to be remembered as being amongst the worst presidents in our history - yet so far Americans have been spared this nightmare. The crisis is however global, and as such, some other places are seeing the rise of inflation faster than we are. That’s why this news from India should scare the living bejeesus out of us. We can not escape the same fate even if we magically were to stop the course we are now set on dead in its tracks. Let’s hope we don’t end up a banana republic like those the collectivists always seem to admire and aspire to.

The end of “Hope and Change”?

Looks like some in the MSM might be turning on the messiah as this See-BS article by Benjamin Domenech dealing with the anger caused over the current government healthcare takeover by the left shows. My favorite observation by the author was:

Such crumbling popularity would give any politician pause, especially one who has spent most of his political career appearing before cheering crowds who proclaim trust, optimism, and hope for him. Obama’s dedication to passing this spectacularly flawed and unpopular health care bill appears to be based on the assumption that the American people like a winner even if the victory comes at their expense.

Seriously, at this point one has to wonder what is motivating the demcorats. Is it just ego and their idiotic presumption that if they pass this they will be seen as winners, even as the author points out the American people will be screwed over by that, or is it something else? Is it that fundamental change of America that Obama promised? He destroys what made the country exceptional and basically creates a two tiered collectivist shit-hole, with the elite living large and the rest of us being peons at the mercy of the all encompassing state? WTF?

As the dangerous outcomes of this plan become apparent, Obama may well come to regret this moment when he chose political expediency over what’s right for the nation. When historians judge this presidency they may well point to this moment as signaling the end of Obama’s cotton candy storyline of “the people vs. the powerful,” the rhetoric that once drove to his side multitudes of people fed up with the ways of Washington, the lies, kickbacks, shady backroom deals, and lack of transparency.

Obama is hoping to be remembered like FDR. Methinks that if the demcorats pull this off and somehow this costly and unconstitutional power grab by the federal government isn’t reversed in the near future, when the country ends up just another collectivist shithole like the ones falling apart over in Europe right now, he will be remembered more like another enemy of the American people. He will have a legacy, but it will be exactly the opposite of what he was hoping for. He will probably be remembered as one of the worst presidents ever. I am not even going to bother discussing how bad it will look that the first real black American president will be considered amongst the most disastrous ones, if not outright the worst, in our history.

Once, they trusted and hoped in his ability to achieve change. Now the American people know whose side he’s on.

Heh, only idiots trusted or believed anything this guy said based on his actions, experience, education, friends, and those few beliefs he wasn’t careful enough to hide. I was baffled at the comparison with Reagan that was trotted out to explain his popularity. I saw Reagan, and heard him speak. Reagan never doubted the greatness of this country and never felt obligated to either remake it or to spread the wealth. Other than to stop government from robbing the people to fuel it’s incessant growth, and to change our awareness of the Soviet menace, Reagan consentaneously talked about American exceptionally. This country was great. We just needed to get government out of the way of the people to make it greater. Obama stands for the exact opposite of any of that. He believes the same ideological crap the soviets did, he thinks America is unjust and wants to spread the wealth. He may talk a mean talk occasionally, but he gives away his real beliefs and plan in his actions. Case in point this horribly unpopular healthcare takeover by his government that he is pushing for.

No, Obama promised change, and he is delivering that. When he mentioned hope though, I believe he meant he hoped nobody would realize what kind of change he wanted until it was way, way too late to stop him from destroying the country and in its place prop up a two-bit leftists European-like has been. I hope we can yet stop his changes.

Obama gets a real interview finally.

Obama has finally been given something other than the usual fluff stuff interview he has been getting away from the MSM for the past 2 years, and it is no surprise it happened to be done by Fox News (video1, video2). He finally sat down with a reporter that was interested in the facts, and Bret Baier grilled his ass. We finally got to see the great orator at work when he wasn’t being handed some softballs by people that get tingles in their legs about him, and Obama, in addition to getting pissed he was not being allowed to just skirt questions with stupid and meaningless talking points, scored, as I expected, a clear F- with his idiotic answers.

President Obama is not worried—and doesn’t think Americans should worry—about the “procedural” debate over whether House Democratic leaders should go ahead with a plan to approve health care reform without a traditional vote, he told Fox News on Wednesday.

After all, he is not worried that the stupid American people are worried that this government healthcare takeover bill is a disastrous thing that will not only bankrupt the country, but also drastically alter healthcare coverage quality and access downward, and costs, directly or indirectly, upwards, for most people that already have healthcare. His concern seems to be with scoring the historical legacy for being the guy that fundamentally changed America from an exceptional nation to a has-been. After all, the American people are too stupid to know what’s best for them according to democrats. Technicalities, and especially rules, should stop the left’s agenda. The rules are not for them.

The president, in an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, responded for the first time to the controversy over a plan to use a parliamentary maneuver to allow the House to pass the Senate’s health care bill without forcing members to vote for it directly.

The issue isn’t the maneuver, Mr. President: the issue is that the maneuver is being used to clearly obviate a vote on an incredibly unpopular, costly, and destructive bill that would then stand no chance of passing if the vote was held on its own. And that’s because the American people have made it clear to democrats – whom hold clear majorities in both houses, have the executive pen on their side, and if they were so inclined to, could have passed this thing by party line without a glitch at any time if it was popular – that they don’t want this bill. Something, and I am not going to even bother arguing that I find this rule to be constitutionally questionable and that I feel it shouldn’t be used by either party, even when the votes for both bills lumped together is a given, that wasn’t ever done previously when this stupid parliamentarian maneuver was to lump two votes into one.

The esoteric procedure has drawn fierce protest from Republicans, who say Democrats are trying to avoid accountability. But the president said there will be no doubt about where lawmakers stand on health care reform.

The only reason they are doing this is because they know they can’t get the first vote to work, not because the first vote is a given, as was the case when this questionable maneuver was used before.

“I don’t spend a lot of time worrying about what the procedural rules are in the House or Senate,” Obama said. “What I can tell you is that the vote that’s taken in the House will be a vote for health care reform. And if people vote yes, whatever form that takes, that is going to be a vote for health care reform. And I don’t think we should pretend otherwise. And if they don’t, if they vote against it, then they’re going to be voting against health care reform and they’re going to be voting in favor of the status quo.

No Mr. President, if they vote against it, they are doing what their constituents want them to do. Last I remember these bastards were supposed to represent their constituents, not the will of the democratic party and its hard core collectivists block. And that’s what is behind this maneuver in the first place. If there wasn’t such massive opposition to this bill there would be no argument. Your clear majority in both houses would have made this a done deal, no matter what the republicans wanted.

The tactic would allow members to temporarily accept the Senate version while keeping it at arm’s length.

Here is the gist of the problem. The democrats in the House don’t want anything to do with the Senate bill, for whatever reason, and any attempt to vote for it would fail, however, because they then don’t trust their leadership, said leadership is forced to use a trick to give the bill a chance in hell. Nancy Pelosi lives in fantasyland where collectivist idiots are the majority, and her seat is safe, but most of the rank and file democrats don’t, and they are all seeing the writing on the wall come the next election. Their choice is to vote for this and please the radicals and leadership, in the process angering and going against the wishes of their constituents with all that entails, or hope that they can hide behind this maneuver and claim they didn’t really vote for this monstrosity in the end. I have a feeling that this excuse will not hold much water either. Of course, they are damned if they do, and damned if they don’t, anyway. Their choice is to please their constituents and risk losing campaign funding – have no doubt queen Nancy will cut campaign funding for anyone that opposes her, and I guess that’s her prerogative – or go for the campaign funding and hope they get enough cash to buy off the angry mob. Cosmic justice, if you ask me for the way these democrats have behaved for so long.

Asked to respond to a viewer’s e-mail question about why he has to “bribe Congress to pass it,” Obama said, “I’ve got the same exact e-mails that I could show you that talk about why haven’t we done something to make sure that I, a small business person, am getting as good a deal as members of Congress are getting, and don’t have my insurance rates jacked up 40 percent?”

WTF was this? Doesn’t he see how he is undermining his own argument? Congress excluded itself from the effects of this moronic government takeover by exempting themselves from anything in this bill! Then various democrat congress men and women had to be bribed with massive lard to get them on board – wonder if these costs are also factored into the cost of this bill by the CBO – for this disaster, because they understood how damaging this thing was going to be to the country, their states, and to them personally.

People see this and complain about it, as this person asking why he didn’t get a sweet deal like congress, did. And Obama’s defense of the indefensible is that small business people that know they are going to get raped by the taxes government has to institute to help pay for their takeover plans, are asking him why he is allowing this disaster of a bill to go ahead? Why is it so hard for him to figure out that everybody except for democrat politicians and the freeloaders that are hoping to have others pay for their healthcare are against this bill? Or does he know that and simply not care?

Obama later added, “I’ve got to say to you, there are a lot more people who are concerned about the fact that they may be losing their house or going bankrupt because of health care.”

I am sure those people losing their houses because they don’t have a job, and much worse, can’t get one in this age of private sector hostile government, far outnumber those that lose their houses due to healthcare costs. But I don’t see Obama worrying about those people at all. Other than to give them lip service, that is. And I suspect that’s because the economics of creating non-government jobs doesn’t mesh well with his idea of fundamentally changing America into a third world collectivist shithole, which taking over healthcare at such an exorbitant cost that it will bankrupt the nation, does facilitate.

“And yes, I have said that this is an ugly process,” he said. “It was ugly when Republicans were in charge. It was ugly when Democrats were in charge.”

Except I still can’t find republicans pushing for this massive a government expansion that guarantees an economic collapse sooner than later, ever. At least Obama didn’t blame Bush for this too.

What’s sadder?

That Obama and crew are again being shown to have lied while campaigning, or the muted and low-key reporting by the few MSM outlets to carry the story that Obama’s team is more secretive than the Bush team ever was? Their actions are finally giving meaning to what they meant when they told us they were about “hope and change”, I guess.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Federal agencies haven’t lived up to President Barack Obama’s promise of a more open government, increasing their use of legal exemptions to keep records secret during his first year in office. An Associated Press review of Freedom of Information Act reports filed by 17 major agencies found that the use of nearly every one of the law’s nine exemptions to withhold information from the public rose in fiscal year 2009, which ended last October. Among the most frequently used exemptions: one that lets the government hide records that detail its internal decision-making. Obama specifically directed agencies to stop using that exemption so frequently, but that directive appears to have been widely ignored. Major agencies cited that exemption at least 70,779 times during the 2009 budget year, up from 47,395 times during President George W. Bush’s final full budget year, according to annual FOIA reports filed by federal agencies. Obama was president for nine months in the 2009 period.

Right!!!! Obama told them not to, but they then went ahead and used it with such frequency - it’s almost double the number - that they set a new record! Either that means they think Obama a weakling moron and simply don’t care what he has ordered them to do, which is bad thing for the country in general because it projects the image that the executive has no control over it’s own government agencies, or the more likely truth, that Obama was saying this stuff during the campaign, but didn’t mean it at all, and the MSM, as they are wont to, is giving him cover with this kind of stupid writing in this article, which IMO is a much worse thing. My bet is - and this is based on the other promises not kept so far - that it is a combination of both, with the later being the bigger driver. And before you claim that these exemptions are happening for national security or military reasons, look at this:

In all, major agencies cited that or other FOIA exemptions to refuse information at least 466,872 times in budget year 2009, compared with 312,683 times the previous year, the review found. Agencies often cite more than one exemption when withholding part or all of the material sought in an open-records request. The AP examined the 2008 and 2009 budget year FOIA reports from the departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Justice, Labor, State, Transportation, Treasury and Veterans Affairs; the Environmental Protection Agency; and the Federal Reserve Board. Other FOIA exemptions cover information on national defense and foreign relations, internal agency rules and practices, trade secrets, personal privacy, law enforcement proceedings, supervision of financial institutions and geological information on wells.

Now, before you rabid libs get all mad at me and say I am inconsistent or did not call the Bush administration out when they did the some of the same, know that I have no problem with the government’s legitimate use of exemptions to FOIA. I am writing this to point out how differently the MSM reports a much broader and intensive use by government of the FOIA exemption depending on who is running the government. Even more important, I am writing it to point out that Obama and the demcorats, yet again, lied to us during their campaigning. If anything, this government is more secretive, and less concerned with your freedoms, than the one BDS infected liberals accused of being fascists, and yet, we now get tepid articles that actually defend the same practices that a year or two ago sent these morons into a frenzy.

Much of the Obama administration’s early effort on FOIA seems to have been aimed at clearing out a backlog of old cases: The number of requests still sitting around past the time limits spelled out in the open-records law fell from 124,019 in budget year 2008 to 67,764 at the end of the most recent budget year over the 17 agencies, the AP’s review found. There is no way to tell whether those whose old cases that were closed ultimately received the information they sought.

I wonder how many of these back-log items were filed by liberals when they thought they could use it to hurt the Bush Administration, but now would if revealed would be inconvenient to them since they are the ones in charge. Nice when it hurts and hampers the fascist Bush administration, bad if we have to live by the same standards and rules we hoped to use against them. If anything, that should make you wonder how seriously these people take our security when they so callously and easily play political games with information that when someone else was running the country they wanted disclosed, even if it endangered us, but now that they are in charge, feel should no longer be disclosed. Keep that in mind the next time you hear a democrat tell you how much worse others are and especially when they promise you something.

Government healthcare takeover economics 101.

Here is how the economics behind government takeover of healthcare proposed in the current monstrous bill congress is going to pass against the will of the people by means of a gimmick, works. Obama’s congress proposes a monster that will cost close to $2 trillion over 10 years and gives government absolute and total control of all things healthcare. Even more frightening, the bill is set up in such a way that by that decade’s end everyone will have been funneled into a government controlled plan. People freak out. So Obama then tells congress they need to find a way to make it happened for a measly $900 billion to make the number more palatable. The congress then proceeds to concoct a scheme that charges you taxes over 10 years to come up with some $1.8 trillion dollars the CBO projected optimistically will be the cost of their behemoth takeover plan, but then offers no care whatsoever for the first four or five years. This then allows them to collect some $850 billion dollars in extra cash during that first 10 year stint, leaving us with a plan that they tell us will now only cost us a measly $1 trillion! Presto, healthcare costs are under control! I should mention that this $1.8 trillion CBO score is for the best case scenario cost of a government healthcare takeover, but we all know that as things go, these collectivist scams usually cost orders of magnitude more than was projected by the biggest pessimists, when they go live.

So after the first 10 years of Obamacare comes to a close, and we roll into the next decade of this wonderful collectivist experiment, we suddenly have government controlled healthcare that is at a minimum underfunded by $850 billion dollars for the next ten years, and likely to be behind a couple of trillion already too. Yet they and the MSM are all claiming this bill will save us money! Maybe they know that the collectivists elite in charge and pushing this plan through even though we don’t want it plan to confiscate our paychecks in their entirety and then distribute to us each according to our needs eventually, and then this stuff wont matter much. Barring that, you can fill in the gaps how they plan to deal with the vanishing of the “savings” they are now tauting sooner than later.

The al Qaeda lawyers controversy

The recent revelation that came out, after some massive stonewalling by the WH which obviously knew it was damning, that many of Obama’s top legal appointees, including Eric Holder over at Justice, seem to have a conflict of interest when it comes to terrorism, seems to have lit a fire in the legal community. Whether you feel that there are issues with the whole terrorists are enemy combatants that purposefully avoid any uniforms or identifications vs. terrorist are just criminals, you can not fail to grasp that there is something problematic with having the very people that are now in charge of preventing another terrorist attack being sympathetic to that cause. And before you lambaste me for saying this, remember that, as this Andrew C. McCarthy article points out, these attorneys chose to go represent people that wanted to destroy this country, and we should be able to ask why. Especially when, as I pointed out, several of these attorneys are now the ones making critical decisions on how to handle not just captured terrorists, but how and how timely we get intelligence from these captured terrorists that can protect Americans from another attack. Here is the money quote:

The Justice Department lawyers who represented al-Qaeda were volunteers. Of all the causes to which they could have donated their services, they chose our enemies. They are no doubt sincere in claiming they sought to vindicate principles, not terrorists. But the other stubborn fact is that, since they took the helm at Justice, counterterrorism policy has become much more terrorist friendly.

Anyone that tries to make the case that those people asking for clarifications and pointing out the conflict, are just ushering a new era of McCarthyism, demanding we ignore the consequences and impact of the policies implemented by, and the actions taken by these lawyers now making the decisions to treat terrorists like common criminals, or worse tries to make the case that these policy shifts have made us safer, is an outright liar or moron. Maybe even both. I can guarantee you that the people that say this is much ado about nothing and that anyone that points out that these lawyers once chose to defend terrorists, would be singing a different tune if we had a clear conflict of interest like this with some government appointee that had links to the private sector. There is no excuse, and this is based on their won words and actions, even when you think that capitalism is a bigger threat than terrorism, to pretend that there isn’t a clear issue here. The truth is that these lawyers have made us all less safe. We have been lucky so far, but that luck won’t hold.

Campaign promises, fiscal responsibility, debt, ethical scandals, and hope and change

Democrats ran and won in 2006, and then again in 2008, on the bad behavior of republicans. Republicans were successfully and correctly painted as having lost their fiscal sanity for the deficit spending prior to 2006, only to have democrats gain control of congress and the spending purse after the 2006 elections, and set new spending records they then blamed Bush for. The leftwing machine’s manipulations of the facts, with big-time help from a complicit media that didn’t point out democrats were always worse at that stuff anyway when in charge, allowed them to run on the lack of fiscal responsibility of the republicans in 2008 again, using the crisis of their own making that they then blamed on Bush yet again, to win big, only to then proceed to set new deficit spending records. Here is the graph for those of you that want to dispute the deficit spending facts, so spare us the bull:

image

As this projection showed Obama’s deficit spending in his first year ended up being more than all 8 years of Bush. Oh sure, as I already pointed out Obama is blaming Bush for having to do so. Democrats have successfully convinced so many that the financial crisis we are in isn’t tied to those idiotic collectivist economic lending practices they forced upon the market in the last 3 decades. Even worse, they successfully have covered up the rigged games Franks and Dodd set up with Fannie and Freddie to keep those faulty economic policies afloat, and how those trading scams then led to the implosion of the housing market and then the financial sector. But that “It’s Bush’s fault” excuse is wearing thin as people are slowly seeing the truth. Almost $2 trillion of the tax payer’s dollars has been funneled to democrats and their friends, through one collectivist economic scam or another promising salvation, but delivering nothing but a drastically growing government bureaucracy, while the private sector continues to bleed jobs and contract. And the WH remains focused on tacking on trillions more in new taxes and debt so they can give government control of healthcare moneys and decisions, with a scam which purports to reign in costs and be fiscally responsible by of all things taxing us for 10 years to provide 5 or 6 years of coverage, while ignoring the economic disaster they are leaving in their wake. And the one thing they should be addressing, the lack of jobs, gets nothing but some meaningless political play. In the mean time the hole is growing deeper and the spending of money we simply don’t have continues to rise. This year is looking like it will set even higher and wasteful deficit spending records as this February’s $220.9 billion single month record is showing. This seems to be our economic future thanks to the democrats and their economics. But the fact that democrats are destroying our economy, and are trying hard to destroy healthcare, is not the thing I want to address here. I want to talk a bit about one of the other lies they told to get themselves elected.

If you have been following the whole Eric Massa fiasco, you know this stuff has turned into a soap opera writ large. Frankly I do not know if Massa is telling the truth. He is a democrat after all, and lying is second nature for them. However, I do not put it past this WH to do what Massa has accused them of doing either. Based on what I have seen them do in just this first year, I have no doubt that this bunch is probably the most corrupt crew I have ever seen. We are dealing with Chicago politics here, and this – hope & change! - is SOP for these people. My bet is that since Obama wants this monster passed, his team is going to make it happen. Even if they have to do what Massa has accused them of. In fact I do not put it past them to resort to openly committing felonies to do so considering the vested interest they have in making this the law of the lad. After all, they control the levers of power and the press, so whose gonna be able to do anything about anything bad they do? If the stuff that has been going on so far hasn’t made the case yet, I doubt anything they do will.

And that brings me to my point about this whole Massa thing. If you don’t remember Nancy promising to drain the republican swamp and end the culture of corruption back in 2006, here is just one of the instances the sympathetic press gave her words play. Unfortunately, as case after case proves – Chris Dodd, Barney Franks, Charley Rangel, and a plethora of others – Nancy lied, and the corruption and criminal behavior, like the deficit spending and the fiscal irresponsibility I talked about before, is also setting new records. Don’t take my word for it. The case with Massa is more of the same. Even more important is the fact that while Pelosi is now claiming ignorance that’s a blatant lie because Nancy knew months ago about Massa’s behavior. And while Nancy is playing dumb, just a little research would have made it all obvious from records going back to Massa’s NAVY days showing that Massa was a time bomb waiting to explode.

As is the case in all these other stories of corruption that the MSM is ignoring or down playing, we are being lied to by these democrats that want to pretend real criminal activity and serious ethics violations, stuff that makes what happens when the republicans were in charge look tame, isn’t their modus operandi. And keep in mind that it is this scandal driven congress which is ignoring the will of the people and pushing forward with an unpopular government takeover of healthcare. Why isn’t the MSM up in arms about all this corruption and the will of the people being ignored? I guess that’s more of that hope and change for you.

ACORN on the record..

As the left actively but falsely tries to discredit O’Keefe’s work in exposing ACORN’s criminal activities, of all things by attacking his choice of clothing or by creating the false illusion that his video editing distorted the facts, it bears to point out that ACORN has a long history of other criminal activity. Oh sure, the left will say that it’s always about voter registration and unimportant because nobody can “definitely prove” there was any actual voter fraud, or some such, but the latest case says otherwise:

Milwaukee police officers sat on their hands for months last year instead of investigating possible voter fraud cases from the 2008 general election. It’s an incredible claim, but it’s coming from a credible source: Assistant District Attorney Bruce Landgraf, the Milwaukee County prosecutor responsible for overseeing campaign and election issues. “Honestly, the Milwaukee Police Department largely ignored your double voter (and other) referrals received in January 2009 for the first six months of 2009,” Landgraf wrote in an e-mail to a city elections official on Jan. 26.

Speaking with unguarded candor, the veteran prosecutor said in his note that MPD’s tardy response had a major impact. The cases involve voters who may have cast more than one ballot, felons who may have voted illegally and other cases of possible election fraud. “Sadly, several probable cases of genuine voter fraud were harmed by that delay,” Landgraf wrote in an e-mail obtained through an open records request. The assistant district attorney was even more pessimistic about the investigation of more than 500 individuals who registered to vote on election day but whose addresses could not be confirmed later by postcard. “I do not expect them to ever get to the Address Cards,” he said of the Milwaukee cops.

On Friday, Landgraf declined to provide specifics, referring questions to his boss, District Attorney John Chisholm. Interestingly, Chisholm wouldn’t elaborate on his assistant’s concerns. “I’ll let the e-mail speak for itself,” he said while praising Landgraf’s experience and knowledge.

That emphasis is mine. We are dealing with accusations of voter fraud here, not voter registration fraud. I use “accusations”, because obviously there never was a real investigation despite the obvious. We all know better though. This is SOP from ACORN. It’s what they exist for. And it is clear that there was a delay, on purpose, to make sure any investigation in this case didn’t pan out. You have to wonder how many of these other instances are out there.

Oh yeah, for you clever lefties that will immediately point out that the Milwaukee Journal article never mentions ACORN, that’s likely on purpose. However, you can have a look at this AG indictment which clearly shows that 2 of those co-conspirators being looked at in this case were ACORN employees.

MILWAUKEE – Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced today that the Milwaukee Election Fraud Task Force has brought additional electoral fraud cases against five Wisconsin residents.  The Department of Justice, acting as Special Prosecutor for Milwaukee County, has filed felony charges against Maria Miles, Kevin Clancy, Michael Henderson, Herbert Gunka, and Suzanne Gunka, all alleging election fraud arising out of the November 4, 2008, Presidential Election.

“The integrity of elections is dependent upon citizens and officials insisting they be conducted lawfully. Wisconsin’s citizens should not have to wonder whether their vote has been negated or diminished by illegally cast ballots,” Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen said.

According to the criminal complaints, Miles and Clancy served as Special Registration Deputies (“SRD”) for the City of Milwaukee in advance of the 2008 Presidential Election.  Each worked for the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (“ACORN”).  Miles and Clancy are each charged with the felony offense of Falsely Procuring Voter Registration as Party to a Crime.  The complaint alleges that Miles and Clancy submitted multiple voter registration applications for the same individuals, and also were part of a scheme in which they and other SRDs registered each other to vote multiple times in order to meet voter registration quotas imposed by ACORN.

If you want the reference for that, it is here.

Clearly ACORN employees helped commit voter fraud. Sadly, the Milwaukee police dept dropped the ball, and the usual suspects are doing their best to not point out that connection. But we can continue to pretend the crook is the guy that dressed up as a pimp or not and got ACORN employees giving him advice on how to pimp children and/or foreigners that also might be under age, hide the income to avoid taxes, and then run for office as a democrat.

Bipartisanship means do it my way!

Despite the failure of that WH PR stunt around the government takeover of healthcare last week, it looks like, at least to Pelosi, the donkeys are thinking they should move ahead and force that monstrosity on the people. According to Nancy, the problem is the republicans, not the fact that the majority of the people do not want this thing.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Sunday that Republicans have left their mark on the healthcare bill and should accept that the bill will go forward. “They’ve had plenty of opportunity to make their voices heard,” she said on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday morning. “Bipartisanship is a two-way street. A bill can be bipartisan without bipartisan votes. Republicans have left their imprint.” The public option, for example, has been stripped from the bill because Republicans were so adamantly against it, she said. “They’ve had a field day going out and misrepresenting what the bill says,” Pelosi said. “But that’s what they do.”

I especially loved that bipartisan bit. As I have always contended, to democrats bipartisan means “you choose to do it my way”. Queen Nancy has decreed that the problem isn’t the cost or all the lies from the people pushing this disastrous proposal, and it certainly isn’t the objection by the people to it and other costly and insane collectivist policies pushed by congress and the WH, as the last 3 elections culminating with the Scott Brown victory for what once passed as a given democrat senatorial seat, but the republicans! They have had their say. Heck, the left even gave up the immediate government takeover option – the public option – and settled for a long term approach that will produce the same anyway. So there!

These collectivist have literally calculated that while this move will crush them in November, that nobody will dare roll this crap back. Thus in the end, they win, as the social expansion takes the biggest jump it has in decades and even more people become accustomed to the “free ride”. I think the idiot donkeys forget that this monster isn’t supposed to do anything but steal more of our money for the next 4 years before it delivers a single service. If they lose big enough though, that assumption might prove erroneous. But they are gambling that they are not going to lose big enough, and that even more importantly, there will be nobody with the guts to roll this back in the next 4 years, especially with Obama c*ck-blocking for them, it looks like. Lets hope they fail either way. Not because I hate this sort of colelctivist crap, but for the sake of the American people which have already beeen badly screwed over by these demcorats in but 1 year.

Hollyweird under fire

It looks like the movie “Hurt Locker”, yet another anti-military Hollyweird fantasy where the soldiers are all idiots or prone to stupid behavior, while loved by the Hollyweirdos precisely because of the portrayal, doesn’t play well with the troops that have done the real thing, and I am not surprised the troops, and especially those with the ordinance disposal units, laugh at this dumb movie.

Reporting from Baghdad, Los Angeles and Washington - Many film critics—and awards voters—have praised “The Hurt Locker’s” depiction of the U.S. military in Iraq, often singling out the bomb disposal drama for its authenticity. But as the film emerges as a favorite to win the best picture Oscar, a number of active soldiers and veterans say the film is Hollywood hokum, portraying soldiers as renegades while failing to represent details about combat accurately.

Truthfully, my first reaction was to actually wonder how the news this anti-US military movie, which I again am pointing out portrayed our troops negatively to suit the image Hollyweird has of the military, was causing a controversy and getting front page time. I admit that was not the least bit surprised about the movie’s negative portrayal, because that seems to be SOP for the left, which while it claims to have respect for the troops and to support our men and women in harms way, also seem to feel the military is an evil entity used by evil America. That this is being pointed out, and in the lefty rags of all places, is surprising.

My guess is that it is attributable to the fact that the CinC now has a (D) next to his name and his WH, despite the facts to the contrary, is now claiming Iraq as their victory. I have already pointed out that I expect much historical whitewashing and fudging to go on about the Iraqi conflict now that we have literally made all the idiots that said a military victory was impossible eat their own words. I am admitting that I didn’t expect it this soon.

I suspect that over the next decade many will rewrite the facts to create the illusion that the left wasn’t just violently opposed to us winning, but actively took measures to force us to lose in Iraq, just like was done after the fall of the USSR to hide the role the mostly pro-Soviet left played there and then. Today we have the majority of these people that were calling Reagan a warmongering nut that would start WW3, all saying that they were right there with Reagan, pushing for the military arms race and the line in the sand that finally broke the evil empire and ended the 70 plus year suffering of millions at the hand of the first collectivist paradise. That is when they don’t try to tell you Reagan’s role in the whole thing was minimal, and the lion share of the credit should go to Gorbachev, or some such other nonsense.

Anyway, I should also mention that it isn’t a coincidence that a movie that inaccurately and negatively portrays our military, like the Hurt Locker does, is up for so many movie awards. Hollyweird loves
