Former marxists see our fall into marxism..

How ironically sad that after Ronald Reagan proved the leftist twits that rooted for the USSR to win wrong and brought that abomination down, is it to see what once was a mouthpiece of that evil empire pointing out how fast America is going marxist:

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people. True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists. Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their “right” to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our “democracy”. Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different “branches and denominations” were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the “winning” side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the “winning” side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

We are basically getting scolded by former collectivists about how stupid we are to follow down the same path to disaster as they once did. And how do they tell us our downfall is at hand?

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America’s short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

The messiah from the left. Me, I am worried the Zimbabwe comparison is more likely. And before the usual collectivist accusations of racism are bandied in hopes of silencing those pointing out the facts, let me say that I chose Zimbabwe, not because the idiot destroying our country’s skin is black, but because he is doing the same shit Mugabe did and does: he is stealing the wealth from the rightful owners, and giving it all to his cronies as payback for their support. This Marxist crap has never worked anywhere ever. I wonder why people think it will work here in the US. I hope there is a mythical “John Connor” like character to lead us out of the devastation soon to come.

Some good news for us..

Anybody that has read my stuff regularly should by know that I consider democrats in power national security hazards. The current crop of defense spending hating collectivist idiots (why is defense spending which creates and supports some well paying high tech & high skills jobs which bring in a ton of tax money to the government bad while handouts to people that sit on their ass and make more children doomed to the welfare cycle good, I don’t know) tried its best to stop the technology that would allow us to do this, and if it was up to them we wouldn’t be able to defend ourselves from a bunch of yahoos. So it is nice to finally get some good news, even though I suspect that the current clique of collectivist twits running the country will find a way to turn it against us: The Indians have figured out Pakistan is no threat to them and that their focus needs to be on China and it’s military buildup.

May 29, 2009: Indian military leaders now consider China their major military threat, rather than Pakistan. Several different trends brought this about. First, China is modernizing their armed forces at a rapid rate. This means a navy that is capable of operating in the Indian ocean, and is obtaining bases in Myanmar and Sri Lanka, to better keep an eye on the sea lanes that supply most of the oil, and many other natural resources, needed by the booming Chinese economy.

There are many countries in Asia with a lot to lose if China becomes able to push its weight around. And have no illusion that the Chinese, unlike us (despite what the usual America hating moron says), would use their power to blatantly and truly push their own agendas and gain advantages in the Pacific and Indian Ocean areas. The Chinese leadership doesn’t worry much about appearances when they know nobody will try, or worse, can stop them. Remember Tiananmen?

So China is now a threat from all sides. India is particularly annoyed at China intruding into the waters surrounding India. It’s not called the Indian Ocean for nothing, and the Indians consider these waters sacrosanct. Chinese naval power is not welcome.

Anyway, nobody has as much to lose with a China that’s pushing its weight around Asia, and especially in the Indian Ocean, as India does. So it is good, not just for them, or the US, but for all other Asian countries worried about China rising, that the Indians have realized this stark fact, and are shifting their strategic interests to coincide with that reality.

The US should push hard to get an Asian coalition, a partnership of nations, consisting of Japan, South Korea, Australia, and India at a minimum, to guard against China’s ambitions, be they direct from China, or through its puppet: North Korea. At a minimum we should also let Japan go nuclear, to make sure the freaks running North Korea keep their stupidity in check, so China realizes it has to deal with both a nuclear India and Japan, should it go stupid. Not that I expect the current leftist twits to do anything as smart as start up the framework for any of this. After all, to them the bad guy is the US anyway.

Still think we are heading in the right direction??

Looks like our government, and especially the current bunch of lunatics in charge which admit they are out of money, has an incredible 63.8 trillion dollars debt commitment.

Taxpayers are on the hook for an extra $55,000 a household to cover rising federal commitments made just in the past year for retirement benefits, the national debt and other government promises, a USA TODAY analysis shows. The 12% rise in red ink in 2008 stems from an explosion of federal borrowing during the recession, plus an aging population driving up the costs of Medicare and Social Security. That’s the biggest leap in the long-term burden on taxpayers since a Medicare prescription drug benefit was added in 2003. The latest increase raises federal obligations to a record $546,668 per household in 2008, according to the USA TODAY analysis. That’s quadruple what the average U.S. household owes for all mortgages, car loans, credit cards and other debt combined.

That Medicare Part D thing was the most shameful thing to come along with a supposedly conservative president at the helm of the nation. Libs still love to call Bush a right wing whatever, but the guy was a big government socialist. If he had had a (D) by his name he would right now be touted as the greatest president since FDR. Kind of like the crap we hear about the current collectivist nut job - the one responsible for tacking on all this extra debt and making our debt, which I should remind everyone he promised he would reduce, not double, when he was campaigning - from the MSM and the leftist twits that worship this emperor without clothes. My bet is that this 63.8 trillion number, because it makes the collectivist morons look bad, could actually be on the low side. Then again, considering the source is one of the MSM DNC outlets, the converse could be the case. Of course the reason this is published by these propagandists is not so people can finally realize that our government is out of control, that these democrats are lying scumbags, and that we where stupid to believe democrats would ever be fiscally responsible, but so they can soften us all up to the idea of the obligatory row of tax increases that Obama and his team of power-hungry collectivist robber barons will have to pass, and pass on everyone (buh-bye no middle class taxes lie) to cover a fraction of this debt obligation. And just so there is no confusion about how concerned the left is about this massive debt, be aware that they want to tack on a few trillion more, just so they can get even more control over our lives. Get ready to be destitute people living in a banana republic.

Here comes our future…

Some people, the ones not enamored with the left’s collectivist big government idiocy, are pointing out that we will pay a hefty and devastating price for what they are doing now. In fact, the inflationary problems have already started to happen. UPDATE: And our future is this. The media and the left are trying hard to play down the consequences of the current WH occupant’s actions, pretending that there are no negative consequences whenever they can, and as often as possible ignoring the signs of things to come, but the fact is we will pay for what is going on. Even the Chinese, whom have been banking our largesse for a while now, are saying that they have had enough of this crap. We might have been able to stave off the reality of how bad things are by getting these people to pretend we are still OK, but things are going to get bad. Especially with the people that get us our energy working hard to get those prices up as high as possible. Not to mention the current collectivist’s unavoidable and ingrained need to confiscate people’s wealth by any means possible. And while this article just enforces the fact that these bureaucrats, when not thinking of ways to fleece people and confiscate their money have nothing but sex on the brain, plan to stick us with even more taxes. Hidden or otherwise. The fact that this tax and spend philosophy indubitably and always results in discouraging people from creating more wealth, when it is obvious that government will simply confiscate it anyway, seems to escape these collectivists. Even hard proof of that is summarily dismissed or blamed entirely on something else. California is showing us what our future will be. Except there will be no sugar daddy, in this case the federal government (meaning the US tax payers) to bail us out. Before the collectivists tell us how California would be just fine if it didn’t have to send $0.25 of every dollar in taxes send to DC elsewhere, lets point out that California now does that precisely because of the collectivist ideology of wealth redistribution. There is no question that the collectivists will keep us in a recession. But hey, things can always get worse! At least the WH has something to keep us all distracted from the mess we are in. Their warning is code for “just shut up already and let us do what we want”. Buyer beware.

DOH?

Heh! Biden, in another massive gaffe, bitchslapped Obama’s dependence on teleprompters at the speech he was giving at Air Force academy. This guy is priceless. He makes Dan Quail, which the media hounded incessantly because he happened to have the wrong letter by his name, unlike Biden, look like Einstein. Biden has had more serious and real gaffes, unlike the purely made up ones that the MSM used on Quail, in six months than Quail did in 4 years as VP! That’s a freaking record. If Biden was a republican our news cycle would be 24/7 making fun of his real fuax pases.

I have to admit he is a breath of fresh air to me. I can’t but root for the guy to do more of this stuff. This is what liberals really are like. Biden just isn’t as guarded about saying all the stupid crap that comes to his mind as most of them are. I know his humor value doesn’t come close to making up for his boss’s efforts to slide America into collectivist banana republic oblivion, but it does help put the liberal agenda in perspective. As Forest Gump was prompt to point out: “Stupid is as stupid does”. And Biden sure works hard to dismiss the MSM’s massive and continuous propaganda campaign to paint liberals, and especially the liberal leadership, as enlightened geniuses (simply because they chose the ideology that the bulk of the idiots in the MSM belong to BTW). He sure gives Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid a run for their money on the stupid train.

Go Joe, go!

About the Sotomayor nomination..

Andrew McCarthy hits it out of the ballpark when he points out that Obama’s appointment of Sotomayor clearly illustrates his belief that what matter isn’t the rule of law, but the rule of lawyers. In short, Obama’s vision of government, not as an entity given certain responsibilities and a whole lot of restrictions in our constitution, but as the final arbiter and dispenser of justice, is what this nomination was all about. It’s about pushing the agenda, not the rule of law at all.

Our ideal of judging was perhaps best explained by John Roberts during his 2005 confirmation hearings. The judge is like an umpire, Roberts mused. The umpire calls balls and strikes; he doesn’t design or alter the rules of the game. That’s how it’s supposed to work. The judge’s courtroom is the level playing field where even the visiting team can win if the law — the objective law — is on its side. Sure, the crowd and the local paper will root, root, root for the home team. The rules, however, don’t have a rooting interest. Justice is blind. The umpire is there to see that justice is done — not manufactured.

Which is precisely why people that feel and believe like Obama, hate this country. They do not want a level playing field and a system of equal rules applying to all. They want a system that redresses those injustices they perceive exist and that guarantees equality of results to all, no matter how many bad and stupid choices these idiots make. That’s precisely why Sotomayor was chosen:

Judge Sotomayor is unabashed in claiming license to judge, and, indeed, to make law, in accordance with her feelings and her politics, which are decidedly leftist. For her, the nation’s appellate courts are the places “where policy is made” by judges, not the places where policy already made by the public is applied by judges. And as she proclaimed in a 2002 speech, legal decisions by judges of her background should be affected by their “experiences as women and people of color.” She insisted, in fact, that “a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”

In short she will do what the left loves: legislate – in favor of leftist ideology – from the bench. Our legal system has been dealt another blow by people that prefer the rule of lawyers over the rule of law. These are the people that would see someone like Obama trampling the constitution and figure that because he means well (or is helping the cause), he should be allowed to do what he’s doing. Like take money/debt owed to investors by some private corporate entity, and transfer majority ownership of the entity to his supporters/donors, the unions.

A truly wise judge would know the rule of law doesn’t change depending on whether it’s being read by a Latina woman or by a white male — but the rule of lawyers does.

Word!

Not surprised to see this…

Gateway pundit seems to have done some research and put together a piece which points out that the Obama Admin is basically closing down those people that donated to their opposition. He was not amongst the first to come up with this stuff as Rush Limbaugh already was asking this question. The fact is that we are again seeing retaliation against those that did not go along with the current goons in charge, and it is scary. Real scary. Especially with a media that does not care to divulge this behavior for what it is.

Sotomayor nominated for SCOTUS

I could ramble on about this stuff, but people much smarter than I have articulated it much better:

Evidently, the characteristics that matter most for a potential nominee to the Supreme Court have little to do with judicial ability or temperament, or even so ephemeral a consideration as a knowledge of the law. Instead, the tag line for this appointment says it all. The president wants to choose “a daughter of Puerto Rican parents raised in Bronx public housing projects to become the nation’s first Hispanic justice.”

Obviously, none of these factors disqualifies anyone for the Supreme Court. But affirmative action standards are a bad way to pick one of the nine most influential jurists in the U.S., whose vast powers can shape virtually every aspect of our current lives. In these hard economic times, one worrisome feature about the Sotomayor nomination is that the justices of the Supreme Court are likely to have to pass on some of the high-handed Obama administration tactics on a wide range of issues that concern the fortunes of American business.

I am sure the activists on the left are ecstatic one of theirs is on the way in. So what happens when the “empathy” the left wants is not the right kind of empathy? Like the people doing it care about the law, the victim, and not the criminal like the leftists do....

UPDATE: I for one can do without this kind of empathy> Can you imagine if the reverse statement was made how up in arms the “empathy” crowd would be??

In her speech, Judge Sotomayor questioned the famous notion — often invoked by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her retired Supreme Court colleague, Sandra Day O’Connor — that a wise old man and a wise old woman would reach the same conclusion when deciding cases. “I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life,” said Judge Sotomayor, who is now considered to be near the top of President Obama’s list of potential Supreme Court nominees.

I guess “empathy” is new code for drastic leftists activist?

How the real world works 101

"Progressives” are always preaching about “fairness”, “paying your fair share”, “social justice” and other such nonsense, that literally is nothing but camouflaged envy and jealousy of the success of others masquerading as an excuse to allow them to confiscate other people’s wealth to buy votes, when they talk about where they plan to get money to keep financing those government gravy trains they believe in. Moonbats really believe people will just lay down and allow themselves to be taken advantage off. After all, the “progressives” can always resort to name-calling to get the objectors back in line. Time and again, smart people point out that the ones getting fleeced will only take so much abuse before going somewhere else, and while the moonbats ignore this and simply keep on with their class warfare rhetoric, the facts speak differently:

Maryland couldn’t balance its budget last year, so the state tried to close the shortfall by fleecing the wealthy. Politicians in Annapolis created a millionaire tax bracket, raising the top marginal income-tax rate to 6.25%. And because cities such as Baltimore and Bethesda also impose income taxes, the state-local tax rate can go as high as 9.45%. Governor Martin O’Malley, a dedicated class warrior, declared that these richest 0.3% of filers were “willing and able to pay their fair share.” The Baltimore Sun predicted the rich would “grin and bear it.”

One year later, nobody’s grinning. One-third of the millionaires have disappeared from Maryland tax rolls. In 2008 roughly 3,000 million-dollar income tax returns were filed by the end of April. This year there were 2,000, which the state comptroller’s office concedes is a “substantial decline.” On those missing returns, the government collects 6.25% of nothing. Instead of the state coffers gaining the extra $106 million the politicians predicted, millionaires paid $100 million less in taxes than they did last year—even at higher rates.

Every time these thieves - and these politicians are nothing but criminals, lying about the reason they feel justified stealing other people’s incomes, when the real purpose is to get more power by giving government control of as much wealth as possible - have raised taxes to finance their largesse, and every time the result has been less taxes.

No doubt the majority of that loss in millionaire filings results from the recession. However, this is one reason that depending on the rich to finance government is so ill-advised: Progressive tax rates create mountains of cash during good times that vanish during recessions. For evidence, consult California, New York and New Jersey (see here).

My guess is that the recession had a lot less to do with this, even though the point made here is absolutely correct, and that what we are seeing is people simply protecting the fruits of their labor. It is not greed to want to keep more of what you earned. Especially when you are being called greedy by political jackals that really see the confiscation of your wealth as a way to enhance their power and government’s control of our lives in general.

All of this means that the burden of paying for bloated government in Annapolis will fall on the middle class. Thanks to the futility of soaking the rich, these working families will now pay Mr. O’Malley’s “fair share.”

Every time a democrat speaks of “social justice” or promises some “free” government goody, expect us all, but especially the middle class, to get soaked. Directly or indirectly. Social justice is, after all, just code for more power to government and the politicians that believe in a government with ultimate power. After all, these elitist progressives know what’s good for you, and you, by virtue of not being one of them, don’t. The lesson is simple. Screw people over, and they will find a way to avoid it. Why work hard when thieves can just take your rewards to increase their power?

On this day that we are honoring those that died for our freedom…

President Obama tells us that North Korea is a threat to world peace. Now where have I heard that before? Who could have said the same thing? Who was called a warmonger for saying this? I know it has not been that long since the left told us that warmonger made the whole North Korean thing up.  Wonder if they will accuse Obama of the same. After all, we were told that if we elected Obama the world would love us and all that trouble caused by Bush-Hitler would go away. And yet, here we have the NKs testing nukes. Everyone, and especially our close allies in Asia, are condemning this action. I bet they are all also wishing that warmonger Bush was still in charge because they know Obama will do nothing but talk. In fact they are already saying that he is, in the best-case scenario, another Carter. They are right too. We will get a lot of this useless crap, and nothing of real consequence. How well did those angry threats by Hans Brix work out huh? Wonder how Obama decided to observe memorial day? He might soon need those evil troops the left loves to hate. In the mean time Iran’s thugocracy tells the world they want the nukes. They have also told us they plan to use them. The Iranians also love Obama and I guess they want to talk too. SHYA! That’s got to be why he send these six targets.. erm I mean warships to sea. He knows Obama will do squat.

Some of use remember what today was about. We know who has kept us free so far. It has not been the politicians, lawyers, or other such types whom usually pretend like they are on the frontline, but our troops. Honor them. Remember them. Thank them. Looks like in today’s crappy world we will need them, and need them badly. Even if the guy now in charge of them doesn’t have a clue. A heartfelt thanks for your sacrifices and your service from me and mine. We know whom we owe our freedoms to.

Proof it was all partisan politics..

Oh the left promised us that they would clean government up. The most ethical blah blah blah… They care about the truth, the little people, America.. All bull. When push comes to shove it was all a politically motivated circus just as everyone that was not insane knew. So now that Queen Bee Pelosi basically painted herself in a corner with her barrage of lies after she got caught lying about what she knew, when she knew it, and most importantly that she did not have a problem with it all until it became politically expedient to oppose it - people finally would get a chance to know what’s really going on if we were to get a real investigation - the donkeys, which got elected by lying to the sheeple that they would bring on the most ethical and caring government ever, decided that getting the facts out for all to see what really was going on, was a bad idea. So they squashed the investigation.

I guess when your objective was to have a politically motivated faux-investigation, controlled and targeted at embarrassing the previous administration, but things do not go the way you planned, and not only your real motives, but your actual real role in the whole thing likely to be exposed, then you suddenly have no desire for that freak show.

The fact is that Pelosi is the one lying, and lying big, about this. The democrats thought they would control the entire process and meet the final objective of not just embarrassing the previous administration, but hurting the cause of anyone that points out the fact that democrats are not serious about our security. The problem was that this was simply impossible considering how much lying and manipulating would be involved. Especially when it would also involve throwing so many other people who thought they were doing the right thing, and were doing it under the legal protection of the law, under the bus.

I sure hope that the democrats learned the lesson that politically driven persecution of your opposition based on faux ideological morality, is not a good precedent to set. I doubt they did however. After 8+ hard years of nothing but blind hatred, convincing themselves that they where the victims of some kind in the whole thing, and not being able to stop the things they really wanted to stop, it is real hard to give that anger up. Because these leftist twits have managed to convince themselves that they shared no responsibility or played no role in what went down, their need for some kind of vindication and retribution is too strong to quash. Even for the lying politicians which should know better! So eventually it leads to problems like this, where the truth is exposed, and they are seen for the conniving and lying hacks they are. Then they are forced to retreat.

Hard times for college students…

Want to see stupid reporting? Check out this ABC news piece:

Casey Savage graduated from Trinity College in Hartford with a 3.8 grade-point average and honors. What he doesn’t have is a job. “I’ve talked to 24 different firms so far. Hedge funds, investment banks, private equity shops,” Savage said. “And I just feel that there’s limited opportunities at this point.”

It’s a familiar refrain being echoed at colleges and universities across the country, as the economy continues to slump and layoffs, furloughs and pay cuts dominate the employment landscape. The struggling economy means college seniors are facing one of the toughest job markets in years.

Did anyone expect the though economic times to have any other kind of effect than what’s being reported? So what’s the big deal then? Is this some setup for more government intervention? Hope not, because we are in the predicament we are because of government.

Anyway, that 3.8 is meaningless without the kind of degree we are talking about. Lack of offers if you have an engineering, pre-med, pre-law, accounting, finance, or BS in science degree, especially with that GPA number of the named student, is something to be worried about. That same GPA grade for some “Womyn Studies” or some other such soft BA degree, which are a dime a dozen BTW, is meaningless. They would be hard pressed to find a job in a great economy.

Despite the adage that college is a must for all, that’s one of the lies these days that parents better be aware of. Can you imagine spending $30-40K a year to graduate with a degree that pays $36K a year and over $100K in student loan debt? If you are not going to get a degree in science, engineering, finance, medicine, or law - and let’s be very frank: not everyone is qualified to get any of those degrees, and, in fact, most people are not – why straddle yourself with massive debt and poor job prospects? Especially in these hard times. You are definitely better off getting a trade education. Those jobs will not likely be outsourced either.

This is what happens with government that’s hostile to private industry

When that government uses that “crisis”, the very one the created and are propagating, you get even more people out of work. Even that government takeover of Chrysler is causing trouble:

May 21 (Bloomberg)—More Americans than forecast filed claims for unemployment insurance last week, and the total number of workers receiving benefits rose to a record, signs the job market continues to weaken even as the economic slump eases.

Initial jobless claims fell by 12,000 to 631,000 in the week ended May 16, from a revised 643,000 the prior week that was higher than initially estimated, the Labor Department said today in Washington. The total number of people collecting benefits rose to 6.66 million, a record reading for a 16th straight week, and a sign companies are still not hiring.

Job losses are likely to continue after Chrysler LLC filed for bankruptcy and General Motors Corp. may follow suit and terminate 1,100 U.S. dealers. The auto slump threatens to slow any recovery from the deepest recession in half a century and keep pushing unemployment higher.

And while the hostile climate continues to encourage more businesses in the private industry to shed jobs, they are all basically realizing that the government has not got any interest in fixing the economy in any way but is more interested in expanding its reach and power, the left continues to come up with more ideas to discourage any kind of economic recovery. I am sure unemployed people will love this idea of forced paid vacations that will cost employers even more money and cause them to not hire anyone else. Maybe the democrats are just trying to prolong the “crisis” so they can continue to shaft us all?

It looks like the left has decided that a superpower America is a bad thing for them. Thus they are going to make sure America is brought down. That’s why they have initiated a economic Jihad to destroy the stability of our currency and our credit rating, which are key to our economic successes. How else can one interpret close to $5 trillion of new money being printed and burned up by these bastards?

How sad..

I don’t buy this explenation…

If you read the article they want us to believe that the Senate rebuked Obama with this vote. But I wonder if what they are doing is basically covering for him. I was 100% certain that Obama was going to fall flat on his face about Guantanamo. Like all the idiots that promised the BDS infected moonbats they would reverse this policy and close Club Gitmo, and really did not mean it - the reality is that if they close Gitmo then they have a conundrum and near impossible hurdle to overcome to prevent the real dangerous and murderous bastards we have locked up there from going free and attacking us again and they know this - I believed that Obama was also pandering to the idiots. I remain convinced of that fact. With this move democrats took advantage of republican sanity to basically shift the blame for Gitmo staying in business from Obama to Congress. And they can then even shift it to those evil republicans to help keep the rabid libs foaming at the mouth! The fact is that Gitmo serves a serious and needed purpose: It keeps real dangerous people out of circulation.

The reality, for those people that do not live in Fantasy Land or BDS World, is that Gitmo is a necessary and legitimate solution to a real big problem with serious consequences. The left played stupid when they could use Club Gitmo as a truncheon with which to beat up the Bush Administration, but those that will face the blame when these detainees are set free and kill Americans again, know better. So now Obama gets to wax philosophical and act as if he was thwarted by Congress when these jackals were in cahoots and just working to give this rat bastard cover.

Yeah, sure I expect the WH to come up with an alternative solution that allows them to close Gitmo down as the Senate demands. Bush’s people are again vindicated for coming up with this brilliant concept. Not a chance when the left is more concerned with saving and protecting their propaganda outlets.

Lib AG admits that waterboarding is not torture and that the onse claiming it is are hacks

It looks like AG Holder got caught with his pants down, and through the use of logic, reason, facts and the law - which he sure as hell seems to be uninformed about- was made to admit that the claims that waterboarding was torture are not based on any reality or law, but purely political. If you are a Bush hating donkey you want waterboarding to be torture. Otherwise if you use logic, reason and the law, you realize it is not.

The bottom line is, Rep. Lungren skillfully steered Attorney General Holder into the truth: As a matter of law, CIA waterboarding — like the same waterboarding actions featured in Navy SEALs training — cannot be torture because there is no intention to inflict severe mental or physical pain; the exercise is done for a different purpose. When Rep. Gohmert’s questioning made it crystal clear that Holder’s simplistic “waterboarding is torture” pronouncement was wrong, the attorney general — rather than admitting error — tried to change the legal definition of torture in a manner that contradicted a position the Justice Department had just urged on the federal courts. It seems that, for this attorney general, there is one torture standard for Bush administration officials, and another one for everybody else.

But then again, this was obvious from the start wasn’t it? These leftists have told so many lies and fabricated so many bad things that they can not even keep their stroies straight these days. Glad to see our new AG is such a smart guy too.
