Why surprised? We are talking about democrats here..
I was just over at LFG and I guess Charles caught some members of the Obama machine - the same people that claim they want a clean campaign and are trying to protect Obama from smear attacks - trying to smear Sarah Palin not even a day after she got the VEEP nod. If you needed any proof that McCain scored a huge hit picking this lady it is the desperation on the left to taint her name. They are fantasizing about some troopergate scandal hoping the mud will stick. They are claiming Sarah Palin was the one in the wrong - not only does it now, after she herself asked for an investigation, clearly look like she was not involved, but the guy the left is claiming she wronged is another scumbag of the highest order (which is likely why they took his side) - and hoping it will bring her down. The only people that will feign any kind of indignation will be stupid leftists. Most Americans, when they get the details of this sordid story, will know Palin was not involved. In fact my bet is that they will feel that she should have done it herself if anything to get rid of a dangerous and evil man that abused the privilege and mantle of responsibility he was given when he took the oath to be a state trooper.
Now the Obama defense people are trying to claim Palin is pro-gay marriage hoping it would turn conservatives off. How stupid. Most of us are not Obama-idiots that believe whatever we are told by others, especially the MSM, without doing our own research. And I expect this to be one in many more of these vile attempts to harm the McCain ticket. Of course I also do not expect the MSM Obama stooges to report on any of it. Because, you know, the only news fit to print is the news that hurts conservatives and republicans and helps democrats and Obama to win. And even with this kind of help the Obamasiah cant pull away.

If a republican/conservative said this..
I guarantee you that if a republican or conservative had said something like this they would have been lambasted in the media. They would have been labeled as evil and mean religious nuts, and appologies would have been demanded. The guy that used capitalism to make a rediculously large amount of money calling capitalism evil and professing the wonders of socialsim says it, and the left nods its agreement. I am more inclined to think this hurricane is the devils work and that god will send Obama packing come November…

Right on!
Well McCain has done one thing I really like, and that is to pick for VP whom I really liked after Obama snubbed Hillary, and that was Sarah Palin. The usual leftists are already on the attack by claiming that this is a surprise pick. Of course the innuendo is that republicans do not hold high opinion of women, so this is strange. The fact is that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is one heck of a good pick. She is hard core conservative. A doer. Successful AND, and this is a huge and, experienced and effective (unlike the presidential candidate from the other side). I just hear Palin speak and she was awesome. Even better, she managed to stick it hard to the gender/race/class hucksters by claiming she was honored to follow in the footsteps of two great women - Geraldine Ferraro and Hillary Clinton - and reminding all the women that saw Hillary snubbed by an empty suit, whom would not even be there if it was not because of white guilt, and are angry. This move was sheer genius. Unlike Biden which really does nothing to help Obama, unless your idea of help is some guy that keeps putting his foot in his mouth, Palin helps McCain with conservatives, women, and families. A slam dunk! I finally have more than my desire to make sure Obama does not get into the WH and destroys this great nation (that is the change he is promising people) to vote this November.
I am already seeing the left go nuts when they crash & burn in November. I expect the losers in the MSM to come out hard against Palin in the hopes of damaging her, and I see that pissing off most women and most sane people as well. Just like they pissed off many with their sudden turn on McCain, whom they loved for 12 years and labeled a maverick for crossing the isle, once he was running against their lame horse. McCain’s people are on a roll. They are beating Obama, and his stooges in the MSM, into a pulp with the facts and the truth. I expect them to try to label McCain or Palin as racists at some point or another, but this is not going to fly. I expect the Obama camp to go to even greater lengths to make sure he does not need to debate McCain or Palin on anything. After he got it handed to him in the last debate Barry knows better than to try to straddle the fence at one of these things when he is so outmatched. Let the games begin!

So the empty suit decides to accentuate the facts about someone from real America and with real world experience and then try to claim they are negatives? No freaking wonder this idiot Obama is so full of himself. By comparison Barrak you rose through one of the biggest pits in America - the collectivist cesspools of Chicago - and basically have zero real world experience unless shilling for collectivism, failing at several projects, being an academic lawyer, and hanging out with America hating terrorists and preachers qualify you as having done anything. I guess the change we need in America is a harder lurch leftward towards more of those horrendously costly and totally failed collectivist programs democrats have straddled us with for the last 5 decades. Talk about moving backwards. Barry, your side knows they have been trumped and all you are doing is damage control, because this announcement will drain the little wind that freak show in Denver put into your sails. Frankly speaking, here is my line for the comments that Sarah palin is not qualified to be president:
“If Sarah Palin is too inexperienced to one day take over the office of the presidency if, God forbid, something happens to McCain, then what the hell does that say about Obama running for that job right now, with much less experience than she has? Are you democrats nuts, or is this more of that double standard where one set of rules applies to you and a different, much more stringent and negative set of rules applies to your opposition? For all intents and purposes Palin has both more experience and more foreign experience than Obama. Even more important is the fact that she does not confuse admiration and worship from non-Americans, hostile to America and her interests, in other nations as part of foreign policy experience as Mr. Obama does.”
The left is hosed man. They are freaking idiots. They seem to want to hand the McCain campaign the very weapons with which to pound them into oblivion. Bring it on!

Obligatory DNC speech post
The freak show in Denver is done. The messiah gave his big speech. I agreed with the AP post by Charles Babington that this was just more of the same vacuous preaching that Obama is known for. The speech was full of the usual messages of “Hope & Change”, grand promises that Obama will fix all the ills of the world, and the usual BDS infected attacks on the current president coupled with attempts to either link McCain to the president and his policies or declare them twins. In short, a big yawn fest unless you are a moonbat. But details? None of that. Lost of promises but zero details. Even the few meager facts presented usually tended to be so he could perpetrate the class warfare crap on the easily influenced listeners, and tended to be either outright falsehoods, or carefully manipulated data to favor the leftist agenda. I doubt we will see corrections of any of that by the usual MSM groupies.
This speech reminded me of John Kerry’s plan to deal with Iraq back in 2004, when Iraq was a big issue, which promised to magically fix everything. Of course we are still waiting for details on that plan too. The only facts we have, and it would require some careful investigation and analysis to get them, are Kerry’s objections to stay in Iraq. Objections he shares with Obama whom just recently finally agreed the surge worked and Iraq is now headed in the right direction, but then pointed out that he would still have objected to the surge and pulled out the troops. If his promise of “Hope & Change” are modeled on similar logic, and since we have zero details and only the usual democratic class warfare lies that these hucksters use to play on people’s envy from the Obama campaign, one can not blame me for thinking they will be disasters of epic proportions.
Anyway, take a good look at the comments. The left is out in force trying to create the illusion this one reporter is expressing opinions, rambling on and presenting conspiracy theories claiming this was a hit piece composed before the speech, declaring it all a blight on AP, which these leftist claim is usually unbiased, and demanding the post be removed/retracted. Man did I have a hard laugh at that. These are the supposed champions of our First Amendment. Only when it comes to porn or leftist beliefs I guess. Only moonbats would think AP is not a heavily left leaning propaganda tool of the DNC and a mouthpiece for the usual suspect inimical to America’s interests. I was surprised as hell to see this. Maybe this is just one reporter getting though on Obama so the leftist can claim the MSM has too been hard hitting on him. A big line of bull of course after one takes a look at all the usual leftists that where claiming they experienced the rapture of the second coming during the speech in question.
Will Obama get a bounce? I think he should. The incessant campaigning by the usual MSM suspects will make sure of that. Will it be meaningful? Not sure, but at this point I think the McCain campaign should be able to run circles around this guy. While Obama denies it and the MSM shills try to avoid covering all the issues there are a plethora of problems that will hurt him. Bill Ayers, the Rev. Wright, Rezko, questionable campaign contributions by anti-American foreigners, endorsements by some of the vilest America hating foreign entities, Obama’s marxist beliefs, lack of experience, and the fact that Obama tries to talk out of both sides of his mouth should all eventually override the free propaganda from the MSM press. And if McCain picks Sarah Palin to be his running mate, I suspect that Hillary which now will be working - behind the scenes of course - to make sure McCain beats Obama so she can run in 2012, will make sure Obama goes down in flames.
Keep fantasizing about how great this speech was if you must. But please do not demand those of us that realized Obama was, as is usual with democrats, trying to sell us nothing but empty promises, not point out that the emperor was not wearing any cloths.

What do real scientists & engineers think about drilling off-shore?
Looks like the engineers and other assorted technical gurus at Popular Mechanics do not agree with democrats on the viability of off-shore drilling. Sucks to be a leftist anti-American and anti-capitalist twit. I recently got a lib to admit to me why they objected so hard to natural gas or oil, after he tried to convince me with the usual litany of bull about saving the planet and seeing me just yawn, he finally came clean and admitted the real problem was that oil & gas where associated with capitalism, greedy evil republican/conservative fat-cats stealing from the poor and drinking baby’s blood, and the left simply did not want anymore of that. Hence the demand for some pie-in-the-sky alternative that is not beholden to capitalism. You should have seen the look of stupidity on his face when I pointed out that the issue was the power of energy, the world we live in can not exist without the power to make it work, and whether it was oil, gas, nuclear, wind, solar, or faerie dust, in the end some powerful people would be behind whatever form of energy was the one. I was suprised when he blurted out that if the government took control of it then all would be fine. Typical collectivist idiots. I guess my point is that the left seems not really motivated by anything sensible and completely driven by marxist emotionality. Bad combination, man.

What you need to know about Obama but won’t hear from the MSM..
It is absolutely unbelievable that the people in the MSM have not investigated and reported on this. This is on par with their attemp to cover up for the Silk Pony when he was banging some chick while his wife was sick (now we find out likely with her knowledge that he was doing so). Obama was sponsored by America haters. I have no doubt Obama will do harm to America because these are the people he takes direction from.
UPDATE: Oh the irony! Looks like the left only likes it when political tax exempt organizations (unlike what many claim this is a 501(c)4 organized just like NARAL and Moveon.org and not a 527) are used by their ilk and sponsored by anti-American billionaires like George Soros, but they call out the lawyers when one of these political tax exempt organizations tells the truth about them. Basically this is an intimidation tactic hoping to create the illusion that this ad against Obama is not true.
The fact is that nobody can dispute what the add says: Obama was brought into democratic politics by Ayers, a real and known terrorist that was part of one of the vilest Marxist organizations ever, has worked extensively with Ayers on several projects, and remains friends with him. Ayers remains unrepentant, and even today when so many claim he is now legit because he now has some University that has not only given him a podium but credentials so he can continue to spout his hate speech, remains actively involved in anti-American enterprises. This is the same response that John Kerry had to the Swift Boat Vets pointing out he was scum: hope the lawyers will convince enough people that the truth is not the truth. If the left had any real issue here they would sue for libel. But they can’t because this add is dead on.
I love how the leftists commenting on this post all seem to make the claim that this is not a violation of free speech because what the add says is false. That is exactly why Obama’s people filed the law suit. These idiots would immediately see the lawyers involved and assume the add was wrong. Lucky for us smarter people - the ones not lobotomized by marxist teachings - will see through this attempt to silence someone with real bad news for Obama and have to poner if they want these kind of people in charge.

This is why I am against the legalization of drugs
I can not believe that this god dman pot head only got 3 years. Frankly I do not care for drunk or drugged up people that kill others. Even if it was because of negligence. To me it is murder. It is a slap to the face of the innocents that have suffered and will continue to suffer because of these idiots. I know he got off easy because of some slick laywer too, but it is just wrong that he is getting just this joke of a sentence. Can you imagine the amount of excuse making when they legalize drugs and a huge amount of idiots no lonnger fear getting toasted and goind out in the real world to interact with others that are not impaired? I am not for telling people what they can or cannot do, but I certainly am for punishing people that do stupid stuff and then take lives as harsh as we possibly can. It is precisely because we limit the consequences to bad behavior that we have so much of it today.

This is a good thing
We are sending the Russians a message here when we steam these kind of ships into the Black Sea. The message is clear to Putin & his crew: try any shit and it will cost you some serious assets. Russia is currently trying to establish footholds that it thinks will cripple the Georgian economy and completely cut it of from the rest of the world. If we let Putin and his circle of ex-KGB cronies running the show in Moscow do this we can almost be guaranteed to see more Russian aggression against their neighbors and a resurgence of the tensions and actions of the Cold War for sure. If anything the world has been send a harsh message that Islamist radicals are not the only things to worry about. A resurgent and oil & gas money rich Russia wants to kick Europe around, and China wants to do the same in Asia. I have a feeling that many of the usual America haters will soon be acting like the usual crack addicts in hard need of a fix offering oral services in return for drugs and begging the US for help and protection. The members of the MSM are keeping this whole conflict low key because they all know that it harms inexperienced Obama for the coming elections.

Obama picks Biden?
I think that this post at Pajamamedia about this pick, especially the comments section, says it all: Obama basically cornered about his in-experience picked an old DC insider. Guess that change is well, no change. This pair is going down. Biden gives Obama nothing because he has his own baggage. The Hillary donkeys will sit this election out hoping to get her in in 2013. Obama will crash & burn, and the left will simply go as crazy as it can when it loses a third election in a row that the losers in the MSM told them they would win in a landslide. Oh the irony, and how sweet that fate for these losers. Frankly I see this election likely leaving Congress in a near draw or even retuning one or the other branch to the republicans as well. The democrats and their terrible 2006 Congress proved that their only agenda was “We hate Bush” and “We hate America when republicans are in charge”, and it became so obvious, especially on the issue of oil, that too many people have wised up that the democrats are far worse than republicans ever can be. Cue the conspiracy theories about stolen elections, racism in America, and so on. Of course the fact that Obama was an inexperienced Marxist stooge of Soros and the Chicago gang and totally picked simply because of the guilty democrats continence and thus really not even close to being a real challenge will never be accepted except by the Hillary people whom will point out tat picking race over gender caused the party the loss. Sit back and enjoy the fire works people…

At least one success
While it is starting to look like Russia’s well orchestrated invasion of Georgia after goading them into fighting in Ossetia has not gone well politically for the Putin, there is at least one real victory there for them. As I pointed out the day this thing took off, the concern for Russia here was oil. Both the control of the oil flow to Europe which could be employed as an economic weapon, and the need to stop the slide in the ppb price of oil now that speculators believe the US will carry its own weight and drill for oil. While every leftist twit in the world is telling us we should not do anything hasty which might end up reviving the Cold War - and one must not let the fact that the Cold War was caused by Western attempts to coddle and buy off an aggressive Stalin/USSR leading him to believe the West was weak and ripe for the plucking - the Russians are stealing oil, capitalizing big on the ensuing political crisis, and in general helping all the usual anti-American losers now apologizing and making excuses for their aggressive actions make sure everyone knows they are nothing but shills. Basically Russia has done us conservatives a favor by reminding the losers that talk about “Change & Hope” that the world is always going to remain a dangerous place and that we risk our very survival when we put naive and inexperienced people in positions of power.

It looks like Obama has finally admitted that the surge worked. It took a slump in his numbers and a visit to a veteran’s group to force him to finally admit this. I bet the usual nutroot idiots will be out of their gourd, feeling betrayed and abandoned by their messiah, and angry at the world. The main reason so many people on the ideologically crazy left went with this guy was because he preached their fantasy. Now that he is slowly throwing all of them under the bus - and I am sure it is both a combination of him saying whatever it takes to get elected (and probably not believing any of it anyway) and trying to look like he is making a move to the center while really being a total collectivist tool - I wonder if they are feeling buyers remorse.

Obama remorse already?
Have a look at Roger L. Simon’s post about Obama remorse. They went for the PC candidate that met their hard ideological leftist beliefs. Now they are suddenly seeing the emperor is without cloths. Frankly I hope Obama stays the nominee. The MSAM has done a bang up job treating him like a celebrity and avoiding any real newss - it seems to be all abd for Obama and the left - regarding his beliefs and abilities. I see a landslide in November for McCain despite the fact most conservatives like me are at best lukewarm about him. Looks like we will have to deal with 4 more years of lunatic lefites making up conspiracy theories about why their side lost again. They never stop to look at themselves in the mirror. The fact is that people are paying attention, and Obama is crashing & burning, desite all the help from the MSM to give him fluff coverage.

A recent argument about aggression
I was having an argument with a leftist twit the other day about the invasion of Georgia by Russia. As usual he was blaming Bush, complaining about America’s evil ways, apologizing & making excuses for the Russians and Putin, and totally ignoring facts or logic, instead of putting the blame squarely where it belongs. Anyway, as I tried in vain to pound some sense into the poor shlob by using facts and logic, something I am beginning to suspect is a waste of time because liberals are adverse to both unless it suits their political agenda, this lib told me that had a democrat been in the WH this would never have happened. I was about to correct that when I realized he was right. The current crop of losers, the one that ran in 2000, the other in 2004, and the one trying to get the WH in 2008 all would not have had to deal with this crisis.
Now please do not think I have gone mad, and hear me out. Does anyone doubt that if one of these retards had been in the WH their need to placate those with agendas contrary to American interests or security in order to be liked would have trumped their responsibility to the American people? I do not. Putin would never have had to invade Georgia because none of these bastards would ever have helped Georgia become a democratic state. In fact they would have sold every single ex-Soviet republic - Ukraine, Georgia, Latvia, and so on - to Moscow cheap. Just like Carter gave Iran to the Ayatollah, these losers would have sold Georgia down river. There would never have been a contest of wills with Moscow, and Putin would never have had to invade. Of course the Georgians would be nothing but second class slaves of their masters in Moscow, but the left has often told us that as long as the masters in question have the right ideology - collectivism - and oppose American interests, then whomever they are oppressing deserve their lot. Kind of how they told us Saddam was the good guy and Bush the bad guy.
Anyway, I proceeded to tell this lib that he was right and outlined the above to him. His head all but exploded. He knew I was right and I saw it in his behavior. I guess facts and logic occasionally do get through to these moonbats.
