Want to know why the donkeys are no longer talking about Iraq?

If you have been paying attention, you know that the MSM has had a tough time reporting their usual negative spin out of Iraq. It has gotten so desperate for the people that want the US to lose, that they have had to resort to complaining about those that bury the dead losing work as the violence drops. But the real deal is Osama’s recent message, nothing but a serious whine fest that reminds you of the democrats in Congress, and which blames everyone but themselves & their evil ways for their failure. Of course the left has moved the goal posts big-time now, and while every little blow up is exaggerated in order to keep the illusion of chaos alive, their new talking points are that the Iraqi government, and for that matter the Iraqi people and system itself, are too corrupt to ever work (guess they can’t see a corrupt donkey Congress works sometimes). Frankly I think fixing 4 millennia of tribalism and the accompanying problems will be a lot harder than pounding idiots with a death wish into the ground, but if we want to bring order to the ME we will have to do this.

Oh, and I will be honest and admit that had the democrats not used Iraq as a political football in 2006 - do not for a second however believe they wanted a change of course that would lead to an American victory while a republican was in the WH, because what they wanted was for us to lose that fight and have the same kind of anti-military & anti-American resurgence that the country experienced after they lost us Vietnam too - that we would not have had the changes that have led us in the right direction. So unlike their usual MO where they do something they claim is a good thing and then stick us with something disastrous - from the 5 decade old 1.5 trillion dollars wasted “War on poverty” to other idiotic ideas where we reward women that keep popping out kids they can’t take care of or pay people that do not want to work to keep democrats elected - this time they tried to stick it to us hard and got a good result, albeit unintentionally, out of the whole deal. I am sure it will be a long time before they do something that actually is of value like this again, though. Soon, like after Reagan’s policies collapsed the USSR, most of these people will be claiming they were on the right side about Iraq too like they did about the Cold War. Unfortunately for them they can not fool us all, and some will know better.

We still have a long way to go in Iraq, and for that matter in the GWoT which seems destined to expand into Iran and Syria, but we are moving things in the right direction. Of course we should not expect the usual suspects to give credit where it is due. Stupid people can’t get past their cases of BDS. But Iraq is off the table for the 2008 elections. Even the usual bull about how we spent money in Iraq but not on chidlren, the victims of some natural disaster, or some other such socialist weasel cry fest are not making headways with the sane anymore. I wonder if Harry Reid will now correct his previous statement about the Iraq war. Nah, I know better.

Well blow me down!

Michael Ledeen seems to have a very interesting take on the relationship between Putin’s Russia and Iran’s nuclear program. I can not say that this has not crossed my mind. Putin wants to go back to the days of glory and like the Chinese knows they can not do it if they end up with a direct confrontation with the US. I mean, Putin did tell us Iraq was up to nothing good helping to convince the WH that we had to take out Saddam, all while secretly selling Saddam both weapons and WMD technology while promising to keep him safe from the US by means of their UN Veto. We all know how that played out for Saddam, and we now all know how that played out for Putin too.

And I guess Syria is also becoming a problem as more and more information is coming out that the Syrians have a secret nuclear program going strong & steady. While we have all been focused on Iran, Syria has been hard at work and if not for that Israeli raid that blew one of their facilities up, we would not have heard a peep from the rabid anti-Bush MSM. But the truth is out there about Syria and this articleby Oliver Guitta seems to really point out Syria is a serious problem. But what really caught my attention are the following pieces of information:

German magazine Der Spiegel revealed in March 2004 that Swedish authorities and the CIA were investigating a very likely Syrian nuclear program secretly developed in Homs in the northern part of the country. That July, investigators looking into the Pakistani nuclear network of A.Q. Khan pointed out that Syria may have procured centrifuges capable of enriching uranium to produce a bomb.

This fact was confirmed in May 2006 in a declassified report to the U.S. Congress on the acquisition of technology relating to weapons of mass destruction. Before the 2003 invasion of Iraq, Syria also got help from Saddam Hussein’s regime.

Saddam was helping Syria with their nuclear program. In fact, it looks like Iraqi nuclear scientists went to Syria to help them get their program going. But it didn’t end there:

But what really broke the camel’s back was a recent report from the well-informed Kuwaiti daily newspaper Al Seyassah. It quoted European intelligence sources as saying that “Syria has an advanced nuclear program” in a secret site located in the province of Al Hassaka, close to the Turkish and Iraqi borders. British sources quoted by the paper believe that “it is President Assad’s brother, Colonel Maher Assad and his cousin Rami Makhlouf, who supervise the program.”

This nuclear weapons program is based on material that Saddam Hussein’s two sons shipped to Syria before — and during — the U.S. war against Iraq. According to the Kuwaiti newspaper, this explains why international investigative teams found no proof of Hussein’s nuclear program.

And there you have it. It is now obvious Saddam shipped his nuclear program to Syria - many have repeatedly and since the leftists & the MSM started claiming nothing was found in Iraq and that Bush had lied about the WMD threat to go steal Iraqi oil or some such bull - where it flourished. But if he shipped his nuclear program why could he also not have shipped more? Of course, I doubt this will ever result in the “Bush lied, people died” crowd realizing they are idiots, but those of us that do not suffer from BDS should now see a pattern here.

The people that keep claiming we can talk our way out of this seem to be total morons. Iran and Syria are going to be trouble. And it now looks like Putin’s Russia can be added to the list of people we need to keep a close watch on along with China. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

The MSM and the economy

I have been having several discussion about the state of the economy as of late, and I have to say that I am flabbergasted by the amount of people that say they feel the economy is doing bad and going south even faster. Oh, I know that the MSM is painting the usual doom and gloom, but when I look at the indicators, the stuff that really matters, I find they are usually off big-time or lying outright about it. It has set me to thinking that there is a real pattern in this whole mess, and apparent I am not alone as Larry Elder seems to come to the same conclusion I have. And here is the money quote:

Two professors, John Lott, economist and resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, and Kevin A. Hassett, the Institute’s director of economic policy studies, looked at newspaper articles on the economy. They wrote, “We found that newspaper headlines reporting economic news on unemployment, gross domestic product (GDP), retail sales and durable goods tended to be much more frequently negative when a Republican was in the White House. And this was true even after accounting for the economic numbers on which the stories were based and how those numbers were changing over time.” So bad economic news becomes less bad economic news with a Democrat sitting in the White House. With a Republican in the White House, however, good economic news becomes less good, and bad becomes even worse.

So we are simply dealing with more of the usual bias and lies we get from the MSM. That’s why idiots that do not know what to look for can think things are always better under democrats I guess. Unemployment is the lowest it has been in a long time at 4.7% and staying there. New jobs are being created constantly, over 8 million since 2003. Average income is going up, and while we all would love to see it go up even more, the fact is that it is not bad because inflation has been kept under pretty tight wraps. The GDP is growing at a robust rate while the deficit is going down - due to increased revenue from tax cuts which the socialist MSM would never, ever report if they could avoid that - and even though our politicians spend like drunken sailors, things are looking better for the future. That is unless the left, again, screws us all with higher taxation and kills all of this progress.

But do you hear about all of this from the MSM? Well no, because their focus is only on the negative, and when they do cover any of this, they put a negative spin on it or dismiss it as insignificant. All you constantly hear is how we are on the verge of a recession and how the economy and the market are about to collapse. In the mean time the stock market has set real new records - not the crap we got during the Clinton years which was all based on false economics, reported by the very people that now claim the economy is doomed, and a bubble that burst as soon as people got to see the truth - and can anyone imagine where the DOW would be today if the MSM wasn’t so biased? Sure there are problems like the housing market, but again, the problems there are holdovers from leftist policies which will never be mentioned by the biased MSM, of course.

However, just like how homeless people suddenly seem to pop up and be a problem only when a republican is in the WH, these numbers would result in a flood of positive economic news if but a democrat was in the WH. It’s all about the illusion with these biased bastards. Can’t have people thinking that republicans, and even more importantly what they stand for, are good for them because otherwise selling socialism becomes impossible. Don’t believe the bull people, and it is all bull, just look at how much better off you are than before. I know I am doing a lot better now than I did when a democrat was in the WH and I can prove it. Of course the moonbats believe that is the case because the republican has helped me steal the children’s money…

Looks like he libs lost another massacre..

As one can read in this WSJ opinion piece it now looks like the facts point out that the only “despicable” people were the ones that were quick to label the Marines involved as evil and brutal killers that massacred innocent civilians in anger. The left has lost their “My Lai” moment in Iraq as the facts emerge, but the problem is that the mouth pieces for the DNC, the usual members of the MSM, seem to be avoiding that apology they owe both their consumers and the Marines & American service members in general. Don’t hold your breath however for this. The usual idiots will continue to pretend that Haditha was a massacre and show their support for the military by calling them the usual derogatory terms. The MSM and the donkey bastards that accused the military of being nothing but brutal killers also prefer not to have to point out they were wrong as usual either. But the facts are out and those of us that have them know who the evil onnes are…

S-CHIP, socialism for the middle class, fails

Looks like the donkeys do not get to overirde the Bush veto on a the massive expansion of S-CHIP. Good. This expansion was a terrible move and intended only to start getting middle class people sucking at the government teat as well. All in the hopes the group that are beholden to government grows so large that socialism would become a defacto way of things. Pass.

Morgsn Stanley drops NY Times stock

Morgan Stanley has divested itself of all its holdings of NY Times stock. Could it be people are finally realizing that most of what the NY Times prints isn’t worth a damn and is only DNC political spin?

You have got to be kidding me…

I was stunned to read this story. Somehow these yahoos find a way to see and report only the bad. Even in a good turn of event. So violence in Iraq, the main indicator the MSM has used to claim that Iraq was a lost cause, is down and the story they find to publish is how now this is costing people their jobs? If the violence happens to escalate again, will they happily report that these people no longer have to worry about jobs, or gleefully return to telling us Iraq is a lost cause? Unbelievable…

Looks like another false start

While the MSM did its job of not really reporting the motivation behind the donkey’s recent move to bring up a resolution that would have done serious harm to relations with a key ally in the war on terror and in Iraq - they still need to make sure the US loses in Iraq to secure their political agenda because only what harms America helps the left - it looks like the blogosphere made an impact. Why do I say that? Well it now looks like the donkeys are reversing course. I guess people pointing out that this was nothing but a cheap political move to undermine US efforts worked. It must suck to be one of these idiots that has banked the political future of their ideology on a US surrender only to find out that the bulk of the American people will hold you accountable for doing that. That doesn’t seem to stop these idiots from trying to do more stuff that kills our soldiers though.

More joys of government run healthcare programs

The left loves to tell us how much better all those socialist nations government run healtcare programs are than ours because they supposedly cover everyone when our system does not. Of course this is plain bullshit. The USSR, one of the most brutal and evil empires ever, had one of the most beautiful Constitutions ever written. It was full of all the stuff that makes the left’s heart strings strum. Espoused all the values of humanity and citizenship. A grand work, but only on paper. The reality on the ground was very different, and the tens of millions were send into exhile for simply not agreeing with the political class and the millions that died or were killed for their beliefs, is ample proof of that. Everyone in the USSR was literate, had healthcare, a job, and was equal. Of course this was all a nice bunch of lies and of no real significance other than to liberal tools that are impressed by what is claimed on paper and not the truth as usual.

What does all of this have to do with healthcare you ask? Well one of the biggest slights of hand by those that want to stick us with socialist government run healthcare is that they are masters of the art of used car sales. They tout all the greatness of these systems, greatness that is usually just on paper of course, and especially the fact that supposedly everyone is covered equally, their paramount concern and fondest desire, in their attempts to make that sale. Of course, the reality is that while on paper everyone is covered, everyone is not really covered when they have to wait so long for service that so many end up dying long before they get to que up (a great cost savings vehicle if there ever was one). But this goes even further than just those that are terminal. Check out how even a simple, but important, thing like births has become a problem that necessitates travel to the evil US for a solution:

Mothers in British Columbia are having a baby boom, but it’s the United States that has to deliver, and that has some proud Canadians blasting their highly touted government healthcare system. “I’m a born-bred Canadian, as well as my daughter and son, and I’m ashamed,” Jill Irvine told FOX News. Irvine’s daughter, Carri Ash, is one of at least 40 mothers or their babies who’ve been airlifted from British Columbia to the U.S. this year because Canadian hospitals didn’t have room for the preemies in their neonatal units.

“It’s a big number and bigger than the previous capacity of the system to deal with it,” said Adrian Dix, a British Columbia legislator, told FOXNews.com. “So when that happens, you can’t have a waiting list for a mother having the baby. She just has the baby.”

Of course who cares if some old geezers, really sick people, or idiots die waiting for care. And it is not an indictment of the system when people have to run across the border to get the care they need. Everyone is covered so that system is better! When we get straddled with a Canadian system we can all go to Mexico for care I guess.

As things change in Iraq what shoould we expect..

We all know that the changes in Iraq have been devastating to the democrats. It all but seems that they have faced the reality that they can not continue to pretend Iraq is lost ,and even worse, there is nothing short of them abandoning the troops by cutting funds that can help them put Iraq back in the losing column. Sucks to be the people that need America to lose to gain politically, but that is what they banked their political future on. Anyway while this is all so juicy, being Karmic justice and all, the reality is that as their luck runs dry in Iraq, the Jihadis, which have no intention of giving up and calling it quits, will have to move to new targets. And J.R Dunn has a great article over at “American Thinker” discussing exactly what to expect.

How likely are they to take that sitting down? And what would they do if they decided not to? The next move on the Iraq chessboard may occur continents away. The Jihadis cannot take a public whipping in the Middle East without responding, and responding as ferociously and brutally as they know how.

The question of where they’ll strike is one easily answered: wherever they find a soft target. One that in some way represents America and will cause the maximum amount of damage and uproar. It could be in Europe, in could be in Asia, it could be down the street from where you’re reading this.

.....

In many ways, the biggest, softest target remains the United States, with our problems securing our borders, our large and in many ways uncooperative immigrant population, and our obsession with shooting ourselves in the foot where our defenses are concerned. The most recent attempted strikes have been broken up due to signals intercepts, sloppiness on the part of the Jihadis, and pure luck. At some point one or more of those factors will break down. (Or be broken down. According to congressional Democrats, one of the big items on their agenda this Fall is yet another assault on U.S. communications intelligence initiatives. Exactly what this is supposed to accomplish is anybody’s guess.)

Desperate measures by desperate people. Unfortunately I agree with the author that the best place for these people to come back at us is in the US, and then with devastating consequences. We have to be right 100% of the time to stop them, they have to be lucky one time to kill many of us. Odds seem to be in their favor right now. That should worry us all. And when the next attack happens, will we have people working to fix the problem or using it for their own personal political gain? Considering that some were willing to have America lose a critical war to gain politically and the rampant BDS going around I am willing to bet who will not be doing anything to help. But Republicans are just as much at fault right now because they could have fixed the leaks themselves.

Here comes the fascism..

I guess that when the democrats told us that if George W. Bush was re-elected we would get fascism, as they put it w would see enemies lists, dossiers, and rampant abuse of political and regulatory power in order to silence criticism and secure an unfair electoral advantage into perpetuity, and they were not kidding.

Others on the Democrat side are pushing ahead with other plans. Rep. Henry Waxman has asked his investigative staff to begin compiling reports on Limbaugh, and fellow radio hosts Sean Hannity and Mark Levin based on transcripts from their shows, and to call in Federal Communications Commission chairman Kevin Martin to discuss the so-called “Fairness Doctrine.”

“Limbaugh isn’t the only one who needs to be made uncomfortable about what he says on the radio,” says a House leadership source. “We don’t have as big a megaphone as these guys, but this all political, and we’ll do what we can to gain the advantage. If we can take them off their game for a while, it will help our folks out there on the campaign trail.”

So I guess the fascist are really rearing their ugly heads. When liberals tell us that under GWB we have become a fascists state and are losing our rights, they must mean this kind of stuff is going on. Of course, their anger seems to be misdirected. Anyone still want to argue that there isn’t a concerted effort to silence anyone that isn’t part of the democrat controlled and liberal leaning MSM considering that incident after incident of these liberals trying to silence the opposition continues to go on? Fascism is a sub-cult of a leftist ideology, no wonder the people trying to practice it accuse those they are trying to usurp power from of being the fascists.

More proof of media bias and how many are just echo chambers for the DNC agenda

Just have a look at this NRO’s “The Corner” post about what a sham the MSM perpetrates for the donkeys. Here it is in full:

This would seem to be a fairly typical media trajectory. The Democrats sign up a sick kid to read their Saturday morning radio address. As Paul Krugman has observed, Bill Kristol, Rush Limbaugh and the rest of us heartless bastards on the right were no doubt too busy laughing to pay attention. But the respectable media were very taken by it:

President Bush, are you smarter than a seventh-grader?

Apparently not. Graeme Frost of Baltimore is 12 years old, a seventh-grader at the Park School, and he understands why children need health care and their parents need help paying for it. He explained it during a rebuttal to the president’s Saturday radio address. Yes, we know, Senate staffers wrote the speech for Graeme. That doesn’t take away from the message. Does anyone really think President Bush writes his own material?

Of course not. And nor does The Baltimore Sun, which did a nice fluffy soft-focus story typing out the Dems’ press release and not querying a word:

Bonnie Frost works for a medical publishing firm; her husband, Halsey, is a woodworker. They are raising their four children on combined income of about $45,000 a year. Neither gets health insurance through work.

If it ever occurred to Matthew Hay Brown, the Sun’s “reporter”, to look into just what kind of “woodworking” Mr Frost did, he managed to suppress the urge.

“icwhatudo” at Free Republic, however, showed rather more curiosity than the professional reporter paid to investigate the story and did a bit of Googling. Mr Frost, the “woodworker”, owns his own design company and the commercial property it operates from, part of which space he also rents out; they have a 3,000-sq-ft home on a street where a 2,000-sq-ft home recently sold for half a million dollars; he was able to afford to send two children simultaneously to a $20,000-a-year private school; his father and grandfather were successful New York designers and architects; etc. This is apparently the new definition of “working families”:

Had it not been for a federal health insurance program tailored for working families such as hers - ones lacking the income to purchase private health insurance - Frost is certain that she and her husband would be buried under a mound of unpaid medical bills… She and her husband have priced private health insurance, but they say it would cost them more per month than their mortgage - about $1,200 a month. Neither parent has health insurance through work.

Insureblog, also demonstrating more journalistic initiative than Mr Hay Brown, checked out that last bit:

A check of a quote engine for zip code 21250 (Baltimore) finds a plan for $641 with a $0 deductible and $20 doc copays.

Adding a deductible of $750 (does not apply to doc visits) drops the premium to $452. That’s almost a third of the price quoted in the article. Doesn’t anyone bother to check the facts?

But who needs facts when you’ve got the human-interest angle sewn up?

Bonnie Frost still can’t drive down the road where the accident occurred…

Bad things happen to good people, and they cause financial problems and tough choices. But, if this is the face of the “needy” in America, then no-one is not needy. And, if everyone needs assistance from the federal government, so be it. But I don’t think I want to drive down the road where Bonnie Frost wants to take us - because at the end of it there are no free-born citizens, just a nation where everyone is a ward of the state.

Unbelievable how the internet conservative bloggers can pick every one of these MSM sham articles, articles that seem to always concur and forward socialist democrat party agendas while labeling any conservatives that do not cower and keep quiet as evil and motivated by greed, apart. And yet, we never get these facts from the MSM. I tell you the bulk of the American people get played by this branch of the DNC. No wonder the left is so pissed at anyone that isn’t part of their MSM team. Can you imagine how much easier they would have it at telling the usual lies if nobody was around to strip them naked? The left sucks. Period.
