CBS’s “The Unit” jumped the shark..
"The Unit” was one of the few shows on CBS that I watched. I say “was’ because after this season’s premiere I can honestly say I am ready to quit watching. The first two seasons of the show where of high quality, realistic, and showed the world and the dangers we face as is. However this third season started off taking such a radical and idiotic turn I can not help but agree with this assessment that its is a dead show. How freaking idiotic that we now have to deal with another conspiracy laden, anti-US & anti-military show, but this being CBS I guess I should have expected it sooner or later. Considering the path this is heading towards, this show might soon be off the air too. See, I doubt the left will watch a military oriented show like this, even one where the “good guys” have turned on the military and their country because of some conspiracy crap, for too long. And if they are like me, the audience that used to watch is going to get turned off fast and abandon the show if this tripe drags on. Sad to see it go, but much better to have it end than watch it devolve into another anti-American piece of garbage.

This is too simple
Do you need any more proof that the left is using the topic of man made global warming to push a socialist agenda and to enact a global socialist government that’s going to primarily redistribute the world’s wealth? Have a look at what the proposed plans are:
WASHINGTON—Dealing with global warming will be painful, says one of the most powerful Democrats in Congress. To back up his claim he is proposing a recipe many people won’t like _ a 50-cent gasoline tax, a carbon tax and scaling back tax breaks for some home owners.
“I’m trying to have everybody understand that this is going to cost and that it’s going to have a measure of pain that you’re not going to like,” Rep. John Dingell, who is marking his 52nd year in Congress, said Wednesday in an interview with The Associated Press.
Dingell will offer a “discussion draft” outlining his tax proposals on Thursday, the same day that President Bush holds a two-day conference to discuss voluntary efforts to combat climate change.
But Dingell, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee that will craft climate legislation, is making it clear that he believes tackling global warming will require a lot more if it is to be taken seriously.
Oh Please! If these morons were really about stopping man made global warming, they would be spending money on building nuclear power plants - the only viable means of generating relaiable electical capacity - and switching to drilling for more of our own natural gas, oil and coal in order to supplement the energy requirements while bringing up enough capacity to allow us to switch to other alternative energy technologies. Not straddling us with more idiotic taxes that will then be used to buy votes through socialist handouts. What a crock of shit.

Well DUH!
I had to laugh when I read the reporting on the donkey debate last night - I simply do not have the time or desire to suffer that much stupidity live - and the fact that all of them did a massive dance around questions about our involvements in Iraq and the future of Iran. It now looks like the donkeys find themselves in a serious bind, and it is one of their own making. The democrats had banked on using anger and opposition to the war in Iraq - something they worked terribly hard to foment and for which they manufactured an entire set of circumstances to delegitimize - to boost their political power. They fabricated and manipulated the realities in order to convince as many as possible that the war first off was illegitimate, illegal, immoral, and most important of all unnecessary. Then they escalated the rhetoric by lying about how the war was lost and could never be won. It worked well for them, energizing the nutroot base and even convincing many that got their news from sound bites and not solid research that what they said was the truth. An entire movement came to be demanding our defeat and withdrawal. A movement that served to give them more power.
But the reality on the ground is now getting in the way. All the claims about how the war was unnecessary & immoral, a lost cause that was bleeding us dry, and that we needed to do the exact opposite of whatever the evil Bush Administration wanted was just talk. These candidates know damn well that Iraq was a dangerous place and that Saddam had to be death with because he would have been an unthinkable risk after 9-11 showed him the way to hit at us or the flow of oil that all the Western economies depend on. They also are well aware that al Qaeda and every other terror organization, including the nation of Iran, the biggest terror sponsor in the world, had now made Iraq the front line battlefield in their war against the West and the campaign to Islamify the world. In short, they know that our military is in the right spot and doing the right thing to keep these bastards from coming after us closer to home, or even at home. And the most important thing: they know they need the troops close to Iran because it now appears that unless regime changes happen and the non-Islamofascists forces take over we will be faced with the choice of military action to prevent Iran from getting the nuclear bomb, or military action to deal with the aftermath of the Iranian bomb being used.
In short, there is going to be more fighting and not less if we want security. And whether it is a republican administration or a democratic one in the White House, the option to cut & run that they have been using to rile up the anti-American rabble rousers that form the dedicated base, is not really a viable one they would pursue. So it is not an accident that we got the massive song & dance from them when asked if they could guarantee a full withdrawal by the end of 2013 or on how they would deal with the Iranian nuclear issue. They have seen how the lack of following up on the promises to cut & run made by them in the 2006 election cycle have smashed the Congress’ approval rating, and are starting to realize that they can not continue to simply lie about how they would pull the troops - none of them would make that move and risk the follow up damage once another massive attack killed Americans again and they know that if we lose in Iraq that is a guaranteed future event - without consequences down the road. The empty and meaningless gestures that they know will not result in any kind of troop withdrawal but keep the base energized are just that: for show.
So now these candidates are faced with having to play this game, forced upon them by their own tangled web of lies, with their voters. They can not come out and say to them that they had been lying and that Bush was right about the need to fight in Iraq. That’s political suicide and it would completely demoralize their nutroots. The strategy they have adopted is one of riding the bandwagon to a hopeful victory in 2009, at which point they will of course blame Bush for why they now suddenly can not leave and actually might have to escalate things. None of them will want to be the President that pulled the troops and caused the next attack, and while blaming Bush for that would buy them time with the nutroots, the majority of people in this country would know better. The democratic party would be done for. But there will also be consequences when they can not pull out troops if they win. Lose-lose effectively.
There is an important lesson here. You reap what you sow. In their campaign to return to power at all costs, they have employed a slash & burn tactic that might well win them the next election, but doom them permanently after they get the prize. Bitter indeed.

Well blow me down!
You know how the intellectuals on the left are always telling us that those people that deny their version of man made global warming are always bought & paid for by evil corporations or conservatives that have their own clean air, water, food, and housing supplies and want to destroy the rest of the world for us? Well what are we to now think about that famous NASA scientist, James Hansen, the one that accused the Bush Administration of playing fast & loose with the data to hide the fact man made global warming was going on, now that we get to know that he took over $ 720K from MoveOn.org & George Soros, no friends of anything but hard line socialism/communism there.
How many people, for instance, know that James Hansen, a man billed as a lonely “NASA whistleblower” standing up to the mighty U.S. government, was really funded by Soros’ Open Society Institute , which gave him “legal and media advice”?
That’s right, Hansen was packaged for the media by Soros’ flagship “philanthropy,” by as much as $720,000, most likely under the OSI’s “politicization of science” program. That may have meant that Hansen had media flacks help him get on the evening news to push his agenda and lawyers pressuring officials to let him spout his supposedly “censored” spiel for weeks in the name of advancing the global warming agenda. Hansen even succeeded, with public pressure from his nightly news performances, in forcing NASA to change its media policies to his advantage.
Had Hansen’s OSI-funding been known, the public might have viewed the whole production differently. The outcome could have been different. Hansen even succeeded, with public pressure from his nightly news performances, in forcing NASA to change its media policies to his advantage. Had Hansen’s OSI-funding been known, the public might have viewed the whole production differently. The outcome could have been different.
If one were to apply those standards by which the left denies credentials to those they do not want talking, Hansen is at best damaged goods, and likely nothing but a politcal hack that was bought & paid for by anti-American forces. Of course I do not expect the MSM, another branch of the DNC and those that want to sell us global socialist government, will not be carrying this tidbit of information anytime soon. Can you imagine how much credibility Hansen’s words would have had if this was actually common knowledge? I mean this guy was really bought & paid for, something that most of those the left dismisses were not simply because their funding didn’t originate from the right place. Of course money from Soros or MoveOn.org might not be a problem for those of the moonbat persuasion. But it doesnn’t stop here..
That’s not the only case. Didn’t the mainstream media report that 2006’s vast immigration rallies across the country began as a spontaneous uprising of 2 million angry Mexican-flag waving illegal immigrants demanding U.S. citizenship in Los Angeles, egged on only by a local Spanish-language radio announcer?
Turns out that wasn’t what happened, either. Soros’ OSI had money-muscle there, too, through its $17 million Justice Fund. The fund lists 19 projects in 2006. One was vaguely described involvement in the immigration rallies. Another project funded illegal immigrant activist groups for subsequent court cases. So what looked like a wildfire grassroots movement really was a manipulation from OSI’s glassy Manhattan offices. The public had no way of knowing until the release of OSI’s 2006 annual report.
If anyone is buying the people and steering the news, like the good ol’ fascist in Nazi Germany used to do, it looks like MoveOn.org, Sorros, and the complicit MSM are the ones doing that. Spread the news…

How sweet the hypocrisy!
Well, Yale has lost its case to screw the military in court ,and once left with the choice to not take the $300 million from the government it gets annually to protest the fact it despises the military for not being open and welcome to homosexual behavior, chose to take the money. So at least the good guys won, and the military can recruit on campus again.

Left’s wet dream about Haditha drying up fast
As you know if you have been paying tabs to what I have been writing about, it now is starting to look like Haditha was just another Jenin - a fake massacre that was played up to the media in order to garner international support by the enemy - and that the investigation and court cases are proving that to be the case.
In what can only be described as a further collapse of the claims that Marines carried out a massacre at Haditha, the company commander of the Marines involved in the firefight has had charges against him dropped. These charges centered around an alleged failure to follow up on the reports of the firefight in which civilians and insurgents were killed. In essence, an attempted media offensive by insurgents has not only fallen apart, it holds the potential to discredit those in the anti-war movement who latched on to those claims.
Like the Battle of Jenin in 2002, Haditha was a firefight where civilians were caught between terrorists and troops engaging them. The goal was, if defeated in the actual battle, to make the public relations aftermath so messy that the public would demand retribution against the United States. The attempt to make Jenin such a case backfired when investigations showed that more terrorists than civilians died. Haditha was a little different for two reasons: One, more civilians than terrorists died, and two, the terrorists got lucky because some discrepancies (arguably due to the fog of war) were seized upon by the media.
That said, upon a closer review, the claims of a massacre (and a cover-up) have gone nowhere. If anything, the only thing that has been determined was a mishandled aftermath that left enough room for the phony claims to require an investigation. But in pushing the investigation, and trying to use it to advance an anti-war agenda, some politicians and the terrorists were banking on at least a court-martial. With the dismissals, that is not likely to happen, and at least one politician who has echoed claims of a massacre was recently confronted over that in a video that is making the rounds among the blogosphere.
So where are the appologies from people like Murtha or the other democrats that not only judged these Marines and found them guilty before the facts, but which then expanded on this story to claim American troops and American political leadership were akin to either the Nazis or the Taliban since they went out of their way to brutally target innocent civilians? Don’t hold your breath. This operation was a ruse by a very clever enemy that knew the anti-US MSM and the DDS infected left would not care about the facts and use these deaths to aid their cause, and they scored bigtime with it.
Still, the terrorists have not emerged empty-handed. The claims of the massacre were trumpeted, and that will aid recruiting for a while. At least one foreign press outlet still refers to Haditha as a massacre, which will still lessen the sting of the dismissals. As such, a larger talent pool for future attacks is likely.
However, the U.S. military will be learning its lessons from this media battle. Lessons learned will be passed along, down to the smallest units. That will make it much harder for future phony claims of massacres to stick. In essence, one can really only try to exploit an incident like this once – and the fact that this media offensive is failing will make it harder to use it in the future.
But the fact is that the truth has emerged, and while the MSM, driven by the agenda to keep people thinking that the war in Iraq is illegal and morally wrong so they can advance the careers & agendas of the politicians they like - all socialist scum - and not just reporting the news, and will continue to come out. People will find out, even if it is a tad late, that it is the enemy that doesn’t care about innocents. But of course the left will have no interest in condemning them and calling them barbaric, because as we can see already, they are too busy struggling with the real heavy and though conundrum of which threat is bigger and who is more evil: Bush or Bin Laden. Can we say these people are almost as bad as the real enemy yet?

Before you buy into socilaist healthcare…
Check out how a Canadian PM had to come to the US for cancer treatment. Her people are now spinning to hide the fact it was done because she would have had to wait too long in Canada and claim that it was because this hospital was the best place to get this surgery at. Well in either case you lose. See if you had to come to the US for the best care it doesn’t bode well for your health care system period.
Liberal MP Belinda Stronach, who is battling breast cancer, travelled to California last June for an operation that was recommended as part of her treatment, says a report. Stronach’s spokesman, Greg MacEachern, told the Toronto Star that the MP for Newmarket-Aurora had a “later-stage” operation in the U.S. after a Toronto doctor referred her.
“Belinda had one of her later-stage operations in California, after referral from her personal physicians in Toronto. Prior to this, Belinda had surgery and treatment in Toronto, and continues to receive follow-up treatment there,” said MacEachern. He said speed was not the reason why she went to California. Instead, MacEachern said the decision was made because the U.S. hospital was the best place to have it done due to the type of surgery required.
Me, my bet is that she came here because she didn’t want the wait and feared pulling stings. I am also pretty sure they tried to keep it quiet and are just in damage control mode right now. But there isn’t anything you can say to make this look good. And this is the best proof of why the elite don’t mind straddling us with a cumbersome and dangerous socialist healthcare system: they will always be able to afford private care when the need is dire.

Is the 787 a problem?
It looks like some engineer fired by Boeing is now claiming that the plasitc fuselage of the 787 is a serious problem in a crash situation. Boeing is of course denying it, true or not this will cause major issues and cost big cash, but one has to wonder. Now frankly I am left with my own doubts about this whole thing.
A former senior aerospace engineer at Boeing’s Phantom Works research unit, fired last year under disputed circumstances, is going public with concerns that the new 787 Dreamliner is unsafe.
Forty-six-year veteran Vince Weldon contends that in a crash landing that would be survivable in a metal airplane, the new jet’s innovative composite plastic materials will shatter too easily and burn with toxic fumes. He backs up his views with e-mails from engineering colleagues at Boeing and claims the company isn’t doing enough to test the plane’s crashworthiness.
Boeing vigorously denies Weldon’s assertions, saying the questions he raised internally were addressed to the satisfaction of its technical experts.
There are just to many questions here. Was this guy fired because he made this claim, or did he start making this claim after he was fired. Big difference there. And what kind of crash are we talking about? Will these planes structurally fail on every crash landing, or are we talking about a crash that is so sever everyone is already dead anyway once the plastic starts burning and releases fumes? Is this a case of people again demanding 100% safety when it is simply impossible and illogical? Like the case of vaccines, there isn’t a 100% safe solution with airplanes. There are trade offs that have to be made and some risks that have to be taken or accepted in order to meet some requirements. A plastic or composite fuselage will make the aircraft much lighter and drasticallly reduce both the consumption of fuel and the emmission of polutants. But if it is a death trap in case of a problem, this is not a worthy exchange. On the otherhand if we are again talking of some seriously catastrophic event where the passangers will be dead anyway, who cares if the plane might pose a bigger risk of fire? Dead is dead anyway. We do not ban cars that aren’t 100% safe and accept the risks associated with them, so why not for airplanes?
Oh yeah, it is important to mention that flying is still the safest form of transportation.

What’s going on..
As the radical Bush & America hating left - the new refuge of every old time communist & socialist - goes out of its way to make sure we know that they are no longer just rooting for the enemy but now working hard to stop us from getting any progress at all, it looks like others, and we are talking about the French now, have determined that the only way to stop the march to a nuclear Holocaust in the Middle East is to break the bad guy’s things. Of course if you see how they report the fact that the antagonists that want global Jihad are going about their business and forcing others to prepare for drastic action, you might be left with the belief that the claims that they want to wipe Israel of the map and kill 1/3 of the planet’s people to bring about Armageddon, are just light conversation. And I could not help shake my head how they also managed to twist Washington’s concern about securing the flow of oil from the Middle East - not for America which only gets 15% of it’s crude but for those others that get their oil from there primarily, into the ridiculous claim that the Iraqi oil was about oil> Remember that the people that leveled the original claim about the war being about oil did so under the premise that the war was about stealing the oil. Now it comes out that a concern was the free flow of that oil and they spin it into a claim that it was about stealing the oil. Can you see the idiocy here yet? Would you take someone that tried to convince you that an act to protect another’s life was just murder seriously? Why then believe this mindbogglingly spin that a concern about the free flow of oil is the same as the original accusation to go steal oil? And speaking of stealing. If you are one of these commies looking for the right thing to make it so you have no incentive at all to ever work again, news like this is great! Too many of these lefties have told me they only work because they need healthcare. Now if government hands that too out for free, I bet we suddenly end up with a 40% unemployment rate as these parasites all go suck at the government’s teat.
UPDATE: Well it looks like Greenspan felt he needed to those that made the claim he said we went to Iraq to steal the oil. As I pointed out, it was fairly obvious what Greenspan ment when he said what he did, but again the people with an anti-Bush agenda seem to have heard what they wanted to. Only total idiots think that preventing terror supporting nations from attacking the flow of oil, the main lubricant for every modern or modernizing nation’s econnomy & growth, and disrupting it is not a good thing.

Scientific concensus my ass..
Well it looks like even those that claim that there is a scientific consensus on global warming - and we all know that any consensus science is no science at all since science is about facts not opinions - are either wrong or lying as usual. It looks like there are a large number of scientists - the kind that likely still believe in objectivity and not mixing their politics with their persuits of science - out there.
WASHINGTON, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/—A new analysis of peer-reviewed literature reveals that more than 500 scientists have published evidence refuting at least one element of current man-made global warming scares. More than 300 of the scientists found evidence that 1) a natural moderate 1,500-year climate cycle has produced more than a dozen global warmings similar to ours since the last Ice Age and/or that 2) our Modern Warming is linked strongly to variations in the sun’s irradiance. “This data and the list of scientists make a mockery of recent claims that a scientific consensus blames humans as the primary cause of global temperature increases since 1850,” said Hudson Institute Senior Fellow Dennis Avery.
Other researchers found evidence that 3) sea levels are failing to rise importantly; 4) that our storms and droughts are becoming fewer and milder with this warming as they did during previous global warmings; 5) that human deaths will be reduced with warming because cold kills twice as many people as heat; and 6) that corals, trees, birds, mammals, and butterflies are adapting well to the routine reality of changing climate.
Despite being published in such journals such as Science, Nature and Geophysical Review Letters, these scientists have gotten little media attention. “Not all of these researchers would describe themselves as global warming skeptics,” said Avery, “but the evidence in their studies is there for all to see.”
I of course do not expect the man made global warming cultists to come clean on this. See the agenda isn’t to correct a looming disaster at all, but to create a one world socialist government that redistributes wealth and puts these elites in charge. You can not sell that on its own merits and need to invent a catastrophe only such a unified socialist world government could handle. Of course all you have to do is listen to how they then propose to solve the problems to know that there aren’t any problems related to the climate being addressed. I have a feeling the anti-capiltalist globalist crowd will have to find a new disaster to rally people to soonish because this one is not sticking. We have had the fears of the ice age, then the warming one. What’s next? Aliens coming to probe our cattle over & over?

9-11 commentary
I think the best commentary for this 9-11 anniversary are Popular Mechanic’s debunking of the stupid 9-11 conspiracy theories and as much footage of the 9-11 attacks on the WTC as possible. Too many people feel that memories of what happened on 9-11, like terrorism, are just another nuisance.

Check this story out:
ERIE, Pa. (AP) - An Erie cancer researcher has found a way to burn salt water, a novel invention that is being touted by one chemist as the “most remarkable” water science discovery in a century.
John Kanzius happened upon the discovery accidentally when he tried to desalinate seawater with a radio-frequency generator he developed to treat cancer. He discovered that as long as the salt water was exposed to the radio frequencies, it would burn. The discovery has scientists excited by the prospect of using salt water, the most abundant resource on earth, as a fuel. Rustum Roy, a Penn State University chemist, has held demonstrations at his State College lab to confirm his own observations. The radio frequencies act to weaken the bonds between the elements that make up salt water, releasing the hydrogen, Roy said. Once ignited, the hydrogen will burn as long as it is exposed to the frequencies, he said.
The discovery is “the most remarkable in water science in 100 years,” Roy said. “This is the most abundant element in the world. It is everywhere,” Roy said. “Seeing it burn gives me the chills.” Roy will meet this week with officials from the Department of Energy and the Department of Defense to try to obtain research funding.
The scientists want to find out whether the energy output from the burning hydrogen—which reached a heat of more than 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit—would be enough to power a car or other heavy machinery. “We will get our ideas together and check this out and see where it leads,” Roy said. “The potential is huge.”
If this can be done, I guess the left will accuse the US of going to war for salt water soon.

The left..
Just take a good look at what they are really about on the anti war left. This incident says it all. These people want us to believe they are insane.
AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (AP) - A U.S. citizen has confessed to using an axe to kill a Dutch student after failing to find a soldier to attack, his lawyer said Tuesday. The suspect, Carlos Hartmann, 41, of Tecumseh, Mich., has confessed to the Sept. 8 killing on a train platform in the southern city of Roosendaal, defence lawyer Peter Gremmen said. Gremmen said Hartmann wanted to punish the Netherlands for its support of the war in Iraq.
Hartmann appeared before a judge Tuesday and was ordered held for another two weeks for investigation. “He hates soldiers, and says that the army kills people, so it would be legitimate if he were also to kill someone . . . from the American military - or from its NATO allies,” Gremmen said in a telephone interview.
When he failed to find a soldier at the Roosendaal train station, “he got such a crazy, disturbed idea that he killed a civilian,” Gremmen said. Hartmann did not attempt to escape and was arrested shortly after the killing.
So this moonbat lives in the Netherlands (at least he was honest enough to leave the country he hated) and decides to kill a soldier, can’t find himself one, and then murders a civilian. I guess if you didn’t know better one could guess that he felt taking the risk and attacking an American soldier might end with his ass getting kicked or killed so he decided to maybe attack a Dutch soldier on the off chance they were sissies or something. But the real motivation, and proof he planned this and isn’t insane, is likely that he could have faced the death penalty in the US (federal offense) for this crime. In the Netherlands however, where the death penalty not only doesn’t exist, but where both prison & prison terms are absolute jokes - the Dutch never sentence and hold people for more than 20 years, they pay them welfare while they are incarcerated, and give them furloughs on weekends - he is going to skate for this crime.
And he didn’t even use a gun! I wonder if the Dutch will be all proud of that fact. I bet the guy he axed to death wished he had a gun he could use on this bastard. I bet he gets a medal from the KoS & DU kids.
