Great read
I believe everyone should have a read about the injustice reporting about the war has done us all, and understand what the consequences of failure will be. As more people turn against staying until we finish, because the Iraqis are simply not doing more heavy lifting while all they hear us talk about is leaving, I wonder if they realize what comes next. Unlike Vietnam where we could simply let the left cow us into ignoring the massacres that followed us abandoning the South Vietnamese, this conflict is in the heart of a region where one of the modern world’s crucial resources comes from. And we are not dealing with communists that value their lives on this world but a doctrine that has created a whole underclass of idiots - you never see the leaders killing themselves up now do you - that think killing themselves while killing others is a noble thing. I guess another American city must go up in smoke, or oil needs to hit $250-300 a barrel and the world’s economies collapse before we decide that there is no walking away from this problem.

Not again!
Please stake, behead, fill the mouth with holy wafers, and then burn this vampires corpse and get it killed once and for all. The current problem with illegals is a disaster, but this bill only serves to exacerbate it. If the choice is to keep the disaster we have now or adopt this bill which will make it worse though, I pick the status quo. How about a damn bill where we secure the borders, cut the illegals off from the ridiculous social spending programs that cost us tax payers billions if not trillions each year, and start deporting the many criminal elements, first. Once we are certain that we are really going to stop illegal immigration because we see these things enforced we can talk about the other crap like the guest worker’s program and allowing some to pay a fine and become residents. Got dang cabrones in Congress. I for sure do not want a death pact for the conservative movement and this country.

How to keep power 101
If you need any more proof Chavez is nothing but another communist dictator, just look at his latest antics. This behemoth of the people, in addition to nationalizing and ruining the oil industry that it the life blood of the Venezuelan economy & shutting down all media opposed and exposing his corruption, has been wasting billions of dollars buying Russian & Chinese military hardware. New MIGs, subs, Kalashnikovs, and a ton of that failed ideology that caused the USSR to sink, has turned North Korea & Cuba into prison camp nations, and of course claiming that the capitalists are out to get him have become the affairs du jour. See, as Fidel has thought him, you need a boogie man to blame for the disaster your evil ideology & grip on power will cause your people. Bush and the US feature prominently, although he has also told his people that the Columbians want to get them. In the mean time he drags Venezuela back into the gutter. At least everyone, well everyone except for him and his small circle of elite followers, will share the universal results of their ideology: misery in spades. How often must communism and it’s evil sister religion, socialism, be exposed as evil ideologies before people abandon them?

Forget warming, its an ice age that is coming?
More and more people are doing real research on climate, and they are that the priesthood of MMGW (man made global warming) is not only full of it but that they have got it completely wrong. For one, the most important contributor to change in weather is finally being given due credit:
Climate-change research is now literally exploding with new findings. Since the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, the field has had more research than in all previous years combined and the discoveries are completely shattering the myths. For example, I and the first-class scientists I work with are consistently finding excellent correlations between the regular fluctuations in the brightness of the sun and earthly climate. This is not surprising. The sun and the stars are the ultimate source of all energy on the planet.
That what happens in that big ball of burning gas hanging in the sky determines how our climate fluctuates. But these socialists know that if they say the sun is behind the changes, they can not tell you allowing them to put up a global government that will redistribute wealth and control every aspect of our lives is the solution. And ultimately that is what the MMGW religion is all about: selling socialism to people that would otherwise never buy it but they think would do so if frightened enough.

Still want to claim there isn’t serious left leaning bias in the media?
Say what you will, but the proof that the media is primarily dominated by leftists and losing any semblance of objectivity or pretending to be objective is piling, up and piling up high. Oh, of course the left will claim the media is right leaning because it is not reporting about how Bush/Mossad/The Illuminati was really behind 9-11 or how Bush lied & people died, and point at FoX News as proof that isn’t the case, but the facts speak differently. In fact, in the latest proof shows that the people on the ground give to democrats by a margin of 9 to 1.
Whether you sample your news feed from ABC or CBS (or, yes, even NBC and MSNBC), whether you prefer Fox News Channel or National Public Radio, The Wall Street Journal or The New Yorker, some of the journalists feeding you are also feeding cash to politicians, parties or political action committees.
Now I have no desire to stop or curb these people from doing what they do. Campaign contributions are a freedom of speech issue. So I was seriously unhappy to see heavy handed stuff like this:
But with polls showing the public losing faith in the ability of journalists to give the news straight up, some major newspapers and TV networks are clamping down. They now prohibit all political activity — aside from voting — no matter whether the journalist covers baseball or proofreads the obituaries.
My point isn’t that these people should be a-political or denied their right to support the poltics they prefer. My point is exactly the opposite: that they are political and that that bias carries into what they report, but more importantly, what they do not report, or how they report things. Take a look at how they cover the Man Made Global Warming crap. Or the Iraq war and the aftermath. The way they are anti-capitalist, anti-American, and anti-military. Yeah sure I know that “If it bleeds, it leads”, and that “Good news isn’t really news”, but the bias is so absolutely negative about the things they do not champion, and so absolutely ridiculously biased in favor of the stuff they like, that only a buffoon would deny it exists. This move only serves to thus make it harder to really know what a reporter’s bias is and filter accordingly.
Once these people owned the news. Nobody could see behind the curtain and find out how they reported. Walter Cronkite declared Vietnam a loss, a blatant lie that nobody unfortunately could counter, but if he had tried that today, like the MSM keesp doing with Iraq, oothers would have shown proof that he was a liar. Kind of like so many do about the MSMs reporting about the GWoT in general and about Iraq specifically. Me, I want these people as open as possible. Once I know their bias I know what to look for and what to ignore.

What is really going on in Iraq right now..
While the MSM focuses on Harry Reid declaring the surge that has barely started has already failed, some other sources are providing a picture, and a good one while we are at it, of what is really happening with the surge in Iraq. One of these sources is Strategy Page which has a great rundown of what the action involving over 10000 troops in Iraq right now is actually about:
After weeks of maneuvering in and around Baghdad, U.S. and Iraqi forces have isolated and cornered large numbers of terrorists in Diy province (northeast of Baghdad), and especially in the provincial capital, Baqouba. This is a major operation, with 9,000 Americans and a thousand Iraqi troops (and police) involved. In addition, there are several hundred local irregulars, who have switched sides. This is a big change in the Baghdad suburbs. While tribal leaders and warlords in the west (Anbar province) have been turning on terrorist groups, especially al Qaeda, for several years, the gangs of Baghdad were more resistant to changing sides. That’s because Baghdad is the home of Saddam’s staunchest supporters. These guys are prime candidates for war crimes prosecutions, for the many atrocities committed by Saddam’s secret police over the decades. While the government has been willing to offer amnesty to many lower ranking Baath party members, the Baghdad neighborhoods and suburbs are full of people considered too dirty to qualify. This is the no-surrender crowd. But let’s face it, these guys are also all over the lists Shia death squads carry. Iran has even offered cash rewards for the deaths of many Saddam lieutenants who were involved in the 1980s Iran-Iraq war, or subsequent murders of Shia clergy. The Kurds have their death lists as well. These are desperate and dangerous people.
Years of collecting data on the bad guys has paid off as well. Month by month, the picture of the enemy became clearer. This was literally the case, with some of the intelligence software that created visual representations of what was known of the enemy, and how reliable it was. The picture is clear enough to maneuver key enemy factions into positions that make them easier to run down. Saddam’s henchmen were no dummies. They were smart enough, and resourceful enough, to build a police state apparatus that kept Saddam in power for over three decades. For the last three years, that talent has been applied to keeping the henchmen alive and out of jail. Three years of fighting has reduced the original 100,000 or so core Saddam thugs, to a few thousand diehards. Three years ago, there were hundreds of thousands of allies and supporters from the Sunni minority (then, about five million people, now, less than half that), who wanted to be back in charge. Now the remaining Sunni Arabs just want to be left in peace. Thus the Sunni nationalists of Baqouba are shooting at, and turning in, their old allies from Saddams Baath party and secret police. This isn’t easy for some of these guys, but it’s seen as a matter of survival. While the Battle of Baqouba is officially about rooting out al Qaeda, and hard core terrorists, it’s also about taking down the Baath party bankers and organizers who have been sustaining the bombers with cash, information and encouragement.
So there you have it. This operation is about killing al Qaeda terrorists officially, but it is also about destroying as many hard core left overs of Saddam’s cronies. The real nasty & dirty ones. We finally are doing what we should have done to them back in 2003 when we went into Iraq: killing them. While the tactic of destabilizing Saddam’s units and thus having them not resist effectively did wonders to help the US military quickly overcome and overtake any resistance back in 2003, it meant we left these people around to cause trouble. And the sad fact is that they planned on doing exactly that and have been quite good at it. With the help of the anti-American & anti-war MSM that has from the start hated the fact Bush was going to do something significant which again involved American military might & ignoring the worlds many socialist, communists, fascist, and other dictatorial idiots, of course. Wipe these people and the al Qaeda terrorists out, and not many are left over to cause trouble or to blow up things for the MSM to use to claim we have lost. Speaking of that..
Both the terrorists and U.S. troops know that victory has been defined as several weeks with no bombs going off in Baghdad. The media is keeping score, and they use their ears and video cameras. No loud bangs and no bodies equals no news. That’s victory.
Not really. The real war is within the Iraqi government. The terrorists lost two years ago, when the relentless slaughter of Moslem civilians turned the Arab world against al Qaeda. Journalists missed that one, but not the historians. The war in Iraq has always been about Arabs demonstrating that they can run a clean government, for the benefit of all the people, not just the tyrants on top. So far, there have lots of victories and defeats in this, and no clear decision overall. Elections have been held several times, but the people elected have proved to be as corrupt and venal as their tyrannical predecessors. Everyone admits that this bad behavior is not a good thing, but attempts to stop it have been only partially successful. Changing thousands of years of custom and tradition is not easy. The clay tablets dug up in the vicinity of Baghdad, reveal similar scandal and despair over four thousand years ago. Most Iraqis realize, however, that if the chain of corruption is not broken, the dreary past will again become a painful present.
So there you have it in short. We can not stop the problems in Iraq, and hence in the ME, unless we break the cycle of corruption and get the Iraqis & other nations of the area to understand that business as usual can’t continue if they want peace & real prosperity. It will take a long time to make it happen. And it will definitely be a lot easier if the agitators that continuously blow up things and kill randomly - for the Western Media because these tactics are not winning them anything militarily - are not around to cause trouble. But you can be certain that if we abandon Iraq and “cut & run” like the democrats want, that this problem will be exacerbated and that the ME will flare up and force us to return within a 3-5 year span. Probably after a nuclear exchange and with oil around $250-300 a barrel, the world’s economy in shambles, and a likely unavoidable global conflict that would most assuredly involve more nuclear weapons being used on our doorstep.
Pray this operation is a huge success and we kill tons of these morons. If we do not make this work and the left gets its way, we will pay dearly for it later.

What an idiot
Why is anyone surprised that the head of the world’s biggest anti-Western socialist entity, the very organization the left believes should be running the world so that they can eradicate “social injustice” but that also happens to be the biggest perpetrator of said injustice, has made the ridiculous claim that the religiously motivated genocide in Darfur is about climate change? These people are pathetic. They have figured out that the majority of Americans, and for that matter the majority of the world’s people that have experienced the joys of communism & socialism first hand, will never buy into their socialist anti-Western, anti-capitalist, wealth redistribution government, and the only way left for them to make that sale is to concoct a world ending disaster that only they can solve. So now Darfur is no longer a failure of the UN to do what it promised to do - protect people - and a conflict driven by religious genocidal desires, but another matter of global climate change that can only be solved by more UN peacekeepers & bureaucrats that do nothing to solve the violence itself, but on top of that lack of action, force the local women & children into prostitution or slavery for their own amusement & gain.
Now this would all be nothing except for little tid bits about this entire global climate change is man made crap constantly having problems that affect its credibility. Problems like people
actually looking at the data & models and finding serious issues.
NOAA says it uses these 1,221 weather stations—which like the ones in Uniontown and New Castle are overseen by local National Weather Service offices and usually tended to by volunteers—because they have been providing reliable temperature data since at least 1900.
But Anthony Watts of Chico, Calif., suspects NOAA temperature readings are not all they’re cracked up to be. As the former TV meteorologist explains on his sophisticated, newly hatched Web site surfacestations.org, he has set out to do what big-time armchair-climate modelers like Hansen and no one else has ever done - physically quality-check each weather station to see if it’s being operated properly.
And then there is more news like this one about how an internal BBC audit found serious internal bias on, and a nearly one sided approach to the topic of climate change. Guess it was so blatant they coulnd’t even ignore or down play it. But you think the nut jobs will give a damn?
So as usual it looks like the people crying “wolf” have been doing a lot more than just crying wolf. But why not take it to the extreme Ban does and simply declare all conflicts, except those the US is involved in because we of course know the evil US is the worlds most evil entity - it stands in the way of these socialists by its very existence - ravenous and insatiable when it comes to stealing oil or other natural resources, as results of global climate change. It is a lot easier than admitting these conflicts are fueled by religion, too often including the communist & socialist religions the UN is so busy trying to sell to us, or tribalism. The cure for those isn’t more socialism/communism and the UN running a global government after all.

Finallly!
It looks like we told the Russians we are not falling for their idiot proposal and going ahead with plans to build a missile shield to protect Europe. Now that France has a serious leader and Germany is making the right moves I guess they too deserve to be under that shield’s protection. Of course this move pisses off the Russians whom seem to recently be back to having dreams of Empire and long for the days of the USSR, but so what? Could it really be that Putin figures out that the Iranians once equipped with Russian provided nukes & missiles might decide to shoot at least one the way of the lesser Satan since they do not have to worry about a defensive shield knocking that one down? After all, these Russians aren’t entirely there. Just look at how they are now making like the US sabottaged their computers on the space statsion. Personally I do not know why we put Russian computers anyway. It is not like they have a record of being reliable.

Why does this not surprise me?
I have long held the believe that the Chinese are gearing up for a confrontation with the US despite the fact that it is primarily the US market that has enabled them to prosper over the last 2 decades. That totalitarian government simply doesn’t know better. Communists think in terms of power & control, and until they control everyone and everything they have to fear someone taking them down. Especially after they saw the demise of the USSR. So nobody should be surprised that China’s policy will always be what hurts American interests in the long term. It helps hold back the US and speeds up China’s attempts to catch up to the US militarily. The Chinese are spending a lot more on their military than they let on (as much as $100 billion a year by some accounts) and focusing that expenditure on things they believe will give them some asymmetric, if not outright edge, over US forces. The hardware purchased is to deny the US Navy access to the oceans around China - for when the Chinese finally pull the trigger on an invasion of Taiwan - as well as to deny US the two most important things needed by the military: accurate and on the spot intelligence, and accurate targeting capability. See the Chinese abandoned the old Soviet doctrine of using numbers to overwhelm quality forces - they realized it would simply not work against a well trained & equipped force like the US military - and have been working hard at denying their enemy these advanced technological capabilities. Going against the US head to head would simply cost too much because the Chinese military still would have to do some enormous and costly modernization let alone training to come close to the capability of the US. But we are stupid to believe China can be ignored or considered as a lesser threat. Just look at things like this and know they are not doing this just for the laughs. China has no illusions that it must fight the US eventually if it is to be top dog, and it is not shirking from that at all. In fact I am of the opinion that the Chinese are clamoring for that fight because the old communists in charge want to be top dogs sooner than later.
Anyway, where am I going with this? Well we now have clear proof that China is behind a lot of the hardware Iran is sending into Iraq or Afghanistan to be used against us. Now some will make the argument that China is just selling weapons to any buyer, but unlike Russia which is in dire need of cash and forced to do so, the Chinese have a choice. Heck, they have even cut off Kim Jung Il. That they are choosing to help kill Americans is a carefully considered part of the strategy of slowing down US capability. It looks like we better keep in mind that while our current fight is against terrorists & those that support their ideological causes, we will sooner than later end up in a large scale war with China too. In fact we should be planning for an alliance between the two, as I am certain the Chinese believe that the current war on terror gives them a great opportunity to come at the US at a moment when they feel the US will be too busy to notice and react to them doing so. Of course the libs will tell you we have nothing to worry, and if they stay true to form they will likely be rooting for the Chinese to win. After all, brutal & evil communists & communism lovers need to hang together. But those of us that know better prefer to avoid things like this.

From one that understands how prescious freedom is..
From the president of the Czech republic, Vaclav Klaus, one of the splinter nations that was formed out of Czechoslovakia once the Berlin wall and the USSR & its empire collapsed, come these great words of wisdom:
We are living in strange times. One exceptionally warm winter is enough – irrespective of the fact that in the course of the 20th century the global temperature increased only by 0.6 per cent – for the environmentalists and their followers to suggest radical measures to do something about the weather, and to do it right now.
In the past year, Al Gore’s so-called “documentary” film was shown in cinemas worldwide, Britain’s – more or less Tony Blair’s – Stern report was published, the fourth report of the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change was put together and the Group of Eight summit announced ambitions to do something about the weather. Rational and freedom-loving people have to respond. The dictates of political correctness are strict and only one permitted truth, not for the first time in human history, is imposed on us. Everything else is denounced.
The author Michael Crichton stated it clearly: “the greatest challenge facing mankind is the challenge of distinguishing reality from fantasy, truth from propaganda”. I feel the same way, because global warming hysteria has become a prime example of the truth versus propaganda problem. It requires courage to oppose the “established” truth, although a lot of people – including top-class scientists – see the issue of climate change entirely differently. They protest against the arrogance of those who advocate the global warming hypothesis and relate it to human activities.
As someone who lived under communism for most of his life, I feel obliged to say that I see the biggest threat to freedom, democracy, the market economy and prosperity now in ambitious environmentalism, not in communism. This ideology wants to replace the free and spontaneous evolution of mankind by a sort of central (now global) planning.
And there you have it from someone that got to experience the evils of communism/socialism first hand. As I have often pointed out my beef with the environmentalist movement that blames man for global warming (while totally ignoring the solar activity cycle) always proposes the same idiotic big government socialism solution. I am wise enough to figure out that if they really believed in their own doomsday scenarios, they would not be advocating a global socialist government with the primary goal of redistributing wealth, all while pouring a sizeable chunk of that wealth in ridiculous alternative energy technologies that do little if anything but help them fell good about themselves & games like the carbon offsets, but not into nuclear power which actually might make a difference, as the solution. But it isn’t just me that believes so.
The environmentalists ask for immediate political action because they do not believe in the long-term positive impact of economic growth and ignore both the technological progress that future generations will undoubtedly enjoy, and the proven fact that the higher the wealth of society, the higher is the quality of the environment. They are Malthusian pessimists.
...
The issue of global warming is more about social than natural sciences and more about man and his freedom than about tenths of a degree Celsius changes in average global temperature.
The only way you would convince people that would naturally be averse to abdicating their freedoms to a global socialist behemoth that would control every aspect of their lives and regulate the wealth in such a way that only the elite ever got anything from it, kind of like the old Politburo of the communist countries, is by inventing a enormous problem with immediate catastrophic consequences and then claiming that the only solution is precisely that overbearing and evil government they would never accept otherwise. Just look who the biggest proponents for this always are: leftists nutjobs, big time socialists, and disgruntled communists that clamor for the end of capitalism.
Do not buy into it. Especially when they ignore or downplay the real threats that their own solution and the new ideology that rose up to fill the vacuum after the fall of communism - Islamofascism - pose to the world. Gaia & Marx loving idiots should never be taken seriously.

How quaint!
First off let me say that I firmly believe people should have the freedom of choice of whom gets their business. Always! This ability to choose is a hallmark & cornerstone of what has made this nation great. But in this case we are neither talking about individuals nor a corporation making a choice. What we have here is a government entity trying to silence political opposition through intimidation. Plain & simple. This is not a matter of choice. Basically they are telling a radio station that if they want to bring important hurricane information to the public they have to get rid of Limbaugh. That is politically motivated coercion and nothing else. What’s next? No city water to any homes that listen to Limbaugh or watch Fox News? You bet your behind that if the donkeys figured they could get away with that they would do it too. Freedom to choose and of speech, to them, only applies to choices & speech they favor. Maybe it would be good if they got their way. Since that place is predominantly donkey land the next time a hurricane comes through and ravages the uninformed & unwashed masses they can try & blame it on a right wing conspiracy or Rush. Kind of like the conspiracy crap we heard about the butterfly ballots - created by democrats in a democrat controlled area - that made all those lame brained donkeys vote for Buchanan instead of Gore. Or is she thinking that since conservatives listen to the station she can get them killed if they get no warning? Nice people these democrats huh?
UPDATE: It looks like these donkey tools got an earful about their attempt to silence the opposition and are backing down. The fact is that this kind of behavior is common and the modus operandi on the left. They claim to worship freedom of speech, but what they really mean is that they worship freedom of speech they like. Anything they don’t like gets banned, suppressed, labeled as hate speech and forcibly banned, or black marketed like this attempt to get conservatives off the air. This behavior is a direct result of the left losing control of the media. Nothing has frustrated the left more than the fact they have not been able to completely and utterly drive the news the people get about the GWoT like they did during Vietnam. Every attempt to pull of a “Cronkite” and declare we have lost, when like in Vietnam that was nothing but a boldfaced and nasty lie, has failed and they resent that. Expect a lot more stuff like this, including a renewed battle about the “fairness doctrine”, but do not be fooled because it isn’t about anything but silencing the other side. Truth destroys the left’s ideas after all.

The thing behind the conspiracy theory nuts
I had to comment about the massive amount of conspiracy crap I have been hearing out there when I cam across Dennis Prager excellent article about conspiracy nuts titled From JFK to 9/11: Why People Believe in Conspiracies . I have been hearing them all. From the nut jobs that claim 9-11 was an inside job by the US government, the petro-military-industrial complex, the Israeli Mossad, the Bush Cabal, a combination of all of the above all the way to the conspiracy theorists about how the US did it to go steal Iraqi oil.
No proof that debunks their idiotic believes make a difference either. When asked how the Bush Admin that has been so incompetent in Iraq - their words - was able to cover any plot in the 9-11 attack from coming out for 6 years now they point to their kooky conspiracy theory as the proof to the contrary. Point out that nobody that is serious in the media buys this stuff or it would be 24-7 news, and they tell you that the clearly liberal biased MSM is an arm of the right wing conspiracy (if the fact they believe that the liberal MSM is a right wing organ isn’t proof these idiots are insane nothing ever will be). The fact that people ranging from Popular Mechanics to various others, all using science and logic, have shown again and again what happened and why their conspiracy theories are ridiculous only serves to fuel their ire and need to cling to the conspiracy theories.
Same about stealing Iraqi oil. Point out that we would have invaded Mexico & Venezuela if we wanted cheap oil - they are both closer, better quality (light crude), and already responsible for the bulk of US oil imports, and not harboring any people willing to blow themselves up in the name of their religion thus making stealing it easier - or simply accepted Saddam’s offer to get all the oil we wanted cheap by removing UN sanctions from Iraq, and their eyes glaze over. And the list of idiotic ideas doesn’t stop there. From alternative fuels that give hundreds of miles to the gallon and can be made in a gin distiller in the backyard but have been hidden by greedy oil companies whom kidnapped and killed everyone involved with that invention to electric cars that are better than cars using the combustion engine, are but a few of the things these waccos believe. If it makes America look bad, involves a greedy capitalist corporation, or can be used as an excuse to point out why there is poverty & suffering, they will buy into it.
Anyway, Mr. Prager gives the following 6 reasons why these people believe this crap:
1. Many people find it impossible to believe that a few utterly unimpressive individuals can do so much damage. Lee Harvey Oswald, a man who can best be described as simply a loser, could change history all by himself? It doesn’t seem to make sense.
2. Many people want to blame those they loathe for as much of what they do not like as possible. Just about everyone who believes in hidden conspiracies attributes those conspiracies to those they hate. People who hate President George W. Bush blame him and his administration for 9/11. Egyptians who hate Israel have blamed AIDS on Israeli prostitutes. Indeed, attributing to Jews hidden conspiracies — the “world Jewish conspiracy,” the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” — is the oldest and most common belief in a hidden conspiracy.
3. One should never underestimate the power of boredom — and the subsequent yearning for excitement — to affect people’s thinking and behavior. Belief in a hidden conspiracy is far more exciting than accepting prosaic truths. Figuring out the “mystery” of who killed JFK is a much bigger thrill than accepting that one jerk was responsible. Deciphering who was “really” responsible for 9/11 is a lot more interesting than accepting that 19 Arabs with box cutters did it.
4. People who feel powerless over their own lives are far more likely to believe that some invisible force controls their fate than people who believe that they are the masters of their lives.
5. There is, apparently, a great yearning among many people to believe that there is hidden knowledge and that they have access to it. It makes them feel special, perhaps even superior to the rest of us who do not have access to this hidden knowledge.
6. In Western societies, it appears that secular people are more likely to believe in hidden conspiracies than the more religious. It may be that the religious already believe in an invisible power that governs the universe — G-d — and therefore seem to have much less of a psychological or emotional need to believe in invisible powers on earth.
What it boils down to are miserable people seeking meaning for their pathetic existence. This isn’t really much more different that what motivates the people that get seduced to strap a bomb vest on and kill innocents. It involves people with a deep yearning to provide meaning to an empty life (read #6) and to feel like they are one of those in the know. I guess the problem really is sad and empty people looking for meaning and purpose. The telling issue is that our Western conspiracy nuts tend to predominantly be socialist leftist that have turned away from religion because they felt it was false. Talk about going from the pan right into the fire.
Why none of the donkey candidates should get into the WH
Contrast between how an old school democrat thinks we should deal with Iran’s nuclear and power ambitions, and how today’s democratic leadership thinks stopping Iran from getting nuclear and also destabilizing. What an idiot Reid is. But what do you expect? This is the same idiot that called illegal aliens “undocumented Americans”. He also is one of the idiots that thinks Bush was behind 9-11 I bet. At a minimum he thinks we deserve the 9-11 attack because we meddled in Iraq! Moron squared is an understatement. At least Leiberman can claim to be an independant when they ask him how he stayed in the party of idiots & radicalized America hating buffoons.
Nothing is as destabilizing as Iran’s current foreign policy. They are already actively undermining the government of Lebanon and using both Hezbollah and the Palestinians as proxies to fight Israel. Iran is also directly involved with all factions opposing US forces in Iraq and has a vested interest in both keeping Iraq unstable and getting the US out so they can take over and become the de facto regional power. And now Iran is also aiding the Taliban in Afghanistan hoping to destabilize that country. So Senator Reid should pull his head out of his ass and understand that Iran is already hard at work destabilizing the region and that a nuclear armed Iran would not suddenly scale back these efforts but vastly increase them. Of course Reid being one of these new fangled “I hate America because it isn’t a two bit socialist state and must have done evil to be the world’s top dog but Gaia is coming to get us” democrats, so maybe he feels Iran becoming top dog and blackmailing the world or worse, starting a nuclear war in the ME, are not as destabilizing as Bush & America. Anyone need more proof why we can not allow any democrat that thinks like Reid, and right now because they are all pandering to the lunatic crowd that dominates the democratic party to win primaries, to be in the White House?
