Reality Check

While the left in this country, and around the globe for that matter, are fighting hard to give terrorists both Geneva Convention protection they never qualify for as unlawful and ununiformed combatants and Constitutional protection even though they are neither citizens or enemies of this nation when they are, the bad guys are doing the real thing.  Find here WARNING: [their field manual on how to deal with captives]WARNING: this is seriously nasty & graphical & not for the faint of heart. Another lefty admits they don’t think they want to kill us

It looks like the Breck girl has decided to come clean, follow in the foot steps of Kerry but take it a step further, and admit he feels that the GWoT is a Bush conspiracy plot:

NEW YORK (AP) - Democrat John Edwards Wednesday repudiated the notion that there is a “global war on terror,” calling it an ideological doctrine advanced by the Bush administration that has strained American military resources and emboldened terrorists.

In a defense policy speech he planned to deliver at the Council on Foreign Relations, Edwards called the war on terror a “bumper sticker” slogan Bush had used to justify everything from abuses at the Abu Ghraib prison to the invasion of Iraq.

Can the claims Bush knew or was behind 9-11 be far away? Anyone still not understand why these people can not be put in charge of our security?

Well it looks like the kooks in Congress realized their pandering to the nutty left was a non-starter and have decided to fund the troops while following the wisdom of our forefathers enshrined in the Constitution and let the Executive branch run wars. I have seen the reaction from the radical left - the usual crap about Bush being Hitler, evil, the anti-Christ, and so on because he will not let anti-America, anti-capitalist, dictator loving freaks like them tell him what to do - and they are angry. Of course these would also be the first people to blame us when the next attack happens, just like they did after 9-11, so who cares.

More proof PC sucks..

Recently I got to talking with several people about how PC standards and the fact that we have the rabid anti-war crowds dictate to us how wars have to be fought have resulted in a lot more suffering for the innocents - and usually this PC crap was instituted to supposedly limit the suffering of innocents - and sever prolonged conflicts, often low level ones that drag on for decades. The ROEs we use in Iraq , combined of course with a heft dose of propaganda favorable to the enemy by our own anti-American/anti-war Western media, have severely limited our ability to do the most important thing in war - break the enemy’s morale and will to fight on - and have allowed the enemy to keep a totally irrelevant & ineffective campaign of indiscriminate bombings which do nothing but feed the deranged idiots that hate the US, Bush, and war with their campaign to pretend the war is a lost cause. All in the hope that this eventually will break the morale & will of the people and thus forces the politicians to withdraw a military they can never defeat. In the mean time civilians and the very innocents we are supposed to protect with these weakened and ineffective ROEs are murdered in mass because they are easier to get to than the troops. Troops that also fight back and practically always kill anyone stupid enough to come up against them.

Many do not know that these kinds of crazy Islamic fanatics causing trouble isn’t a new thing. In the days of the British Empire every once in a while these fanatics would rise out of the sand & resort to this very tactic of indiscriminate violence directed at civilians in the hopes of frightening the locals into backing their movement and paralyzing any military force able to respond. These barbaric events never worked because British troops would usually find out where the trouble makers were hiding or operating from, go there in force, and basically wipe out everyone. That lesson stuck and kept those that had first hand knowledge of the fate of rabble rousers from repeating the same mistakes guaranteeing order for a few decades. Today we would crucify anyone that proposed we deal with the rise of this radicalized and destructive entity by wiping out anyone involved, lending support to it, or not opposing it because of lash back from the PC crowd. Consequently we have it spreading everywhere and countless innocents dying, with numbers more slated to die in vain, from it. And they will continue to die in dribs & drabs with no end in sight. Well there would be an end of news coverage as soon as the MSM figured it had managed to reach it’s political objective to lull people into thinking this was done with, but that doesn’t mean the tragic deaths will not continue because of our lack of will to act.

Anyway, the proof is in the pudding as another similar story about how PC rules have made it impossible to end the problem of piracy in Somalia and thus condemned the poor people of Somalia to a long, slow & drawn out death. But hey, if it is not in the news it can’t be important or worth thinking about.

UPDATE: Well it seems I am not alone in believing & remembering that making sure the other side understands you will not react with “appropriate force” but will strike back massively and with the intent to cripple & destroy, like we told the USSR we would do during the 5 decades of the Cold War and which I consider to be the main reason we prevented a direct military conflict that would have gone nuclear between the two super powers, if attacked works as Walter Williams points out here. True he is indicating this would be the response after we are attacked and not directly tied to using brutal force while fighting, but the point is that the deterrence lies in the fact that the result will be a massive response with devastating consequences.

Anyone recall that old Star Trek episode where Kirk told the two planets that had been at war for decades and were sending people to be zapped, because it was more humane not to really drop nukes on each other and devastate each other’s societies, every time a simulated attack happened that he would rain nuclear fire on them for real if they didn’t end that idiocy? The moral of that show still stands. Make war PC & nice, and people will be much more inclined to condone, want it, and not fear it. Make it ugly and make it have devastating consequences, and I guarantee you it will happen less often. Yeah, even radicalized nut jobs with a death wish would lose their desire to fight if they knew they would be vaporized and their movement to enslave the peoples of the world under their ideology crushed with brutal force.

Anyone still doubt Iran is behind the trouble?

Well, as I have often pointed out, Iran is the primary reason Iraq still remains unstable and in turmoil, and now it is coming out that they are looking to take advantage of the political divide over the war and have even planned a summer offensive in Iraq. Have no doubt that the Iranian leadership has concluded that if they can keep Iraq as unstable as possible and have the Western Media report about the turmoil by having daily bombings that serve no military or tactical purpose but make for great anti-war propaganda, they will eventually get people to quit and leave. And then Iraq is theirs for the taking. With the Iraqi oil also under their control they become the de facto powerhouse in the Middle East, and then gan not only control the price by creating more regional instability, but actually go after other oil producers in the region. This will set them in direct conflict with Saudi Arabia. Couple that with their current nuclear program, and what you are looking at if the US leaves Iraq is a nuclear arms race, a low level conflict for power, but inescapably a high level conflict that will go nuclear and draw us back in and after the world economy is on the verge of collapse and China on the verge of invading the Middle East, force us to redeploy troops to the Middle East at huge risk & cost. And this will all go down in less than 2-4 years. That is if Israel fearing for its survival doesn’t go nuclear before then, which only means we will be drawn in earlier. There is no way a US withdrawal ends up in anything but a disaster at this time.

Iran is secretly forging ties with al-Qaida elements and Sunni Arab militias in Iraq in preparation for a summer showdown with coalition forces intended to tip a wavering US Congress into voting for full military withdrawal, US officials say. “Iran is fighting a proxy war in Iraq and it’s a very dangerous course for them to be following. They are already committing daily acts of war against US and British forces,” a senior US official in Baghdad warned. “They [Iran] are behind a lot of high-profile attacks meant to undermine US will and British will, such as the rocket attacks on Basra palace and the Green Zone [in Baghdad]. The attacks are directed by the Revolutionary Guard who are connected right to the top [of the Iranian government].”

The official said US commanders were bracing for a nationwide, Iranian-orchestrated summer offensive, linking al-Qaida and Sunni insurgents to Tehran’s Shia militia allies, that Iran hoped would trigger a political mutiny in Washington and a US retreat. “We expect that al-Qaida and Iran will both attempt to increase the propaganda and increase the violence prior to Petraeus report in September [when the US commander General David Petraeus will report to Congress on President George Bush’s controversial, six-month security “surge” of 30,000 troop reinforcements],” the official said.

“Certainly it [the violence] is going to pick up from their side. There is significant latent capability in Iraq, especially Iranian-sponsored capability. They can turn it up whenever they want. You can see that from the pre-positioning that’s been going on and the huge stockpiles of Iranian weapons that we’ve turned up in the last couple of months. The relationships between Iran and groups like al-Qaida are very fluid,” the official said.

Didn’t these people tell us al Qaeda & Iran would never work together because they were competing religious factions? So what gives? I will tell you what gives. Both al Qaeda and Iran want the US, and the West for that matter, out of the Middle East because the only way they can build their Caliphate, the base nation from which Islam will launch their world war to conquer the planet, is if we leave or are forced out. And so far they think they are winning that fight and close to achieving that goal. As usual, the radicalized left, the group that has always loved dictators & despots, no matter how brutal & evil, as long as they were socialist, communists, or anti-American, is ready to hand them that victory and us another world war after a world wide economic collapse. Then again, if you realize that hardcore communism & socialism lose most of their appeal when people are prosperous enough, you can see why the left is actually rejoicing about the chance to collapse the world economy.

What are they thinking?

Congress has lost its mind. They have just given amnesty to anywhere from 10-12 million illegals and so much as made it possible for 30 million or so total to immigrate to the US. The donkeys like Ted Kennedy are in heaven because that is about 25 million more leaches to suck at the government’s teat and thus 25 million votes for his party. Why the idiots in the WH and those working for them like might think this is a good plan baffles the hell out of me. They must be truly deranged. And if John McCain has not ended his chances to win the way he is applauding this idiotic bill should do so.

This idiotic bill, in addition to loading the electorate with so many future democrats that it guarantees this country will eventually end up like one of those failed European or Latin American states, is a huge injustice to those that do go through the legal process to become citizens. Heck, even the Mexicans doing it the right way can see that:

There is no way to spin this otherwise. I hope this bill goes down in flames because it is a disaster. What a joke! Is this how the republican party intends to fix Social Security since democrats refuse to allow us to privatize this Ponzi scheme? Finally I have seen something I find that is worse than the situation we have right now.

How idiotic!

The big news in this story we are told is that this evil unkie bastard has been sentenced to 1933 years, almost 2K years of prison for his crime of infecting nearly 300 people with Hepatits C as he took hits from their morphine shots. However if you read the whole thing you wil find a little tid bit of real importance:

Juan Maeso, 65, was sentenced to 1,933 years in prison in the sentence handed by the Valencia Provincial Court. The most he can serve under Spanish law is 20 years.

So what the hell does this sentence really mean? Nothing. It is all feel good crap by feel good socialists. I bet you this guy not only lives to get out of jail - he is 65 years old - but does so in under 10 years. Now if he had only actually killed some people, considering how grand socialist laws are, he might have gotten off in 5 years. 

No gun needed..

I guess unless you want to make the case that brutally killing one person is less offensive than brutally killing a lot of people at once it seems that a determined nut job will kill when they want to. No gun needed. But then again, people trying to take away guns from law abiding citizens are really only concerned with the fact that if they are too chicken shit to defend themselves nobody else should be able to do so either. The culture of equality of results that socialists aspire for at work. Anyway, the issue is that crazy people will kill no matter what precaution we take. Me, I would rather have a chance at defending myself.

Here is what 7 years of “diplomacy” have gotten us so far..

Well after 7 years of trying to use diplomacy - the stuff libs tell us is the only way to solve problems, disputes, and deal with brutal & evil people hell bent on destruction - we now are looking at these results. Now I am baffled that the NYT is carrying this news, even if it is riddled with their own opinions of why Iran still isn’t a big problem or close to getting a nuke masquerading as actual news, considering this puts a serious negative spin on the crap the has been telling us. I guess the fact that the IAEA, a UN crony and nearly useless entity as Saddam proved for 12 years, saying Iran has its centrifuges spinning and cranking out the nuke juice simply can’t be ignored.

I wonder how long before some idiot claims Bush showed them how to do it - after all Bush is behind 9-11, Saddam’s disappearing WMDs, the faked lunar landings, the Kennedy assassinations, and Sheryl Crow telling us all to use a single sheet of paper to wipe with - so he would have an excuse to eventually bomb Iran. Never mind that the WH strategy towards Iran is specifically trying to avoid this very scenario because they are well aware of the displeasure of the Iranian people towards their own incompetent and failed government and not willing to hand them such an incident as an excuse to inflame and unite the people behind them. The problem is that while this strategy is the way to go, we are not doing enough to help topple this government fast enough to avoid them developing a nuclear capability. In this race to the finish line, the loser stands to lose a lot. In the end if Iran gets close to a nuke the politics of the ME will be irrevocably changed and the entire region plunged into a nuclear race. Not to mention that Israel might feel compelled to act, and unable to do so conventionally - like they did against Saddam in 1981 - will be forced to use unconventional weapons (nukes) to break Iran’s capability. Can you say nuclear nightmare and WWIV?

Say what you want, but these bastards have set themselves up to bring about a global conflict no matter if they succeed and start it or the West intercedes to prevent them from starting it, and we all can thank the idiots that thought diplomacy was the way to go for it. Didn’t we learn anything from our diplomatic efforts with NK? Since when are despotic lunatics without any grounding in reality going to do anything in good faith?

Light at the end of the tunnel despite efforts to make us lose

Well, if you are able to filter past the DNC talking points from the MSM about how Iraq is a failure and if it is not the democrat controlled Congress will make sure troops are not funded or pulled out so it does fail, you can find tid-bits of information from the real people on the ground whom are pointing out that if it were not for the fact the MSM was such a useful propaganda tool for the bad guys and a great motivator to continue to struggle for a lost cause, they would have long ago given up and quit fighting because they are despirited and broken:

American intelligence tracks hundreds of indicators in Iraq, and they are all showing that the Sunni Arab terrorists, and their al Qaeda allies, are fading away. It’s a trend even the terrorists appear to be aware of, as the word on the street is that morale is low, and the terrorist organizations have to offer more money to get bomb builders, planters and scouts for the roadside bomb operations. The bomb business is getting more dangerous, what with more people using their cell phones to call the cops when they see bombs being built, transported or planted. The suicide bombers, however, are getting a boost from American politicians opposed to the war in Iraq, and the attempts to get American troops pulled out. The number two guy in al Qaeda has recently boasted about this support, in a video distributed on the Internet. Such support for the enemy is nothing new in politics.

The only people claiming they do not believe their actions are aiding & abetting the enemy’s cause and keeping a defeated force in the fray are these leftist politicians & their cohorts in the MSM that will do anything possible to make sure America doesn’t win a war, especially not one led by BushChimpyMcHitler, for ideological reasons and spite. And they lie when they claim their actions are motivated by any other reason than pure political chicanery and a desire to rig the landscape so they can elect a socialist weasel from their ranks to the WH in 2008. The damage to America & the world, and the consequences to either the people of Iraq, the people of the Middle East whom would all likely be drawn into the fight once Iran tries to annex an abandoned Iraq, and eventually the people of the world as that conflict escalates into a world war, be damned! Anti-Americanism and socialism come first.

At a time where very few in the anti-war, anti-American, anti-Bush MSM crowd are doing their best to downplay both previous and another attempt to kill people here in the US , can’t have the locals reminded that the enemy wants to kill us above all else and that cheap talk & the need to make attempts to change policy or attitudes to make them like or hate us less the left keep trying to sell us as the only things that will make a difference are guaranteed recipes for disaster, this kind of information is critical for a dispirited public to get. Of course you should not expect that to come from the left or the left controlled media. There might be hope at the end of this whole thing yet, and I am certain all these conniving bustards doing their best to make us fail right now will line up to tell us how they always were for the mission - like they did after Reagan’s policies which they all opposed vehemently, with the exact kind of vitriol and predictions & claims they make today about our fight against the culture of terror being a mistake and only leading to doom, brought down the USSR - and not doing their best to make it fail.

Another one bites the dust

When I heard about a plot to kill US Soldiers in Fort Dix this morning on the news, they only identified the individuals involved as being from Yugoslavia. Considering Yugoslavia has not existed in a decade and a half, I immediately concluded that they would end up being Muslim radicals with a very small to negligible chance of a possibility they could be Serbs. Turns out they are Albanian Muslims so no surprise. But it says a lot about how the media reported this originally.  And how much do we want to bet that we get democrats sooner or later blaming this not on these radical Islamofascists but on Bush and his policies? After all, if Bush had not invaded Iraq, 9-11 would not have happened!

This is how socialists deal with defeat

You thought that our socialist crowd - the donkeys - are crazy because they made a ton of hay about losing elections and not getting their way? Our nut jobs are still tame compared to these losers that took to burning and destroying to show how angry they are that people will not continue to accept their fantasy as a given. Socialism is a doomed form of government that serves only to drag all people down into mediocrity. Over 100 years of proof is available to show how it simply punishes the productive while encouraging the lazy to be even lazier and discouraging a ton of those that were borderline from trying to do anything but be lazy.

Congratulations Nicolas. Good luck trying to pull that airplane out of the dive it has been in. I am sure that you will have an uphill battle against the powerful unions which are sure to use strikes - France has many powerful unions that control and can shut down things like public transportation and many other critical functions with crippling effects on the government - to make sure you can not make any meaningful change. As usual I expect these people to squander their chance to move away from a cultish religion that has shown us over the last 100 plus years that all it eventually ends up doing is take from the productive to give to those that too often choose to do nothing.
