Global Warming now afecting other planets!

Well I am certain that the crowd that wants us to believe evil capitalist America and its wasteful ways is responsible for the changes in world weather and that the only solution is for us to hand them power to form a global socialist government that will tax the wealthy West and redistribute that wealth to the poor will just pooh-pooh and dismiss this finding that Mars is warming too, because if we finally accept that the culprit behind the changes is the sun and not man, their job to sell socialism to sheeple becomes impossible.

Mars is being hit by rapid climate change and it is happening so fast that the red planet could lose its southern ice cap, writes Jonathan Leake. Scientists from Nasa say that Mars has warmed by about 0.5C since the 1970s. This is similar to the warming experienced on Earth over approximately the same period. Since there is no known life on Mars it suggests rapid changes in planetary climates could be natural phenomena.

Natural phenomena huh? But heck, even the people that wrote this story and seem to be making excuses with their claim that the mechanism for warming on Mars was different than that on Earth want to avoid the issue. If you do not want to admit that the sun is the culprit you are left having to figure out something else like:

The mechanism at work on Mars appears, however, to be different from that on Earth. One of the researchers, Lori Fenton, believes variations in radiation and temperature across the surface of the Red Planet are generating strong winds.

In a paper published in the journal Nature, she suggests that such winds can stir up giant dust storms, trapping heat and raising the planet’s temperature.

When a surface darkens it absorbs more heat, eventually radiating that heat back to warm the thin Martian atmosphere: lighter surfaces have the opposite effect. The temperature differences between the two are thought to be stirring up more winds, and dust, creating a cycle that is warming the planet.

Nobody explains why the winds have suddenly “whipped up”, but anyone that has even basic knowledge of Mars would know that their weak atmosphere would react much more violently to heavier solar activity and winds, and that the rise in sandstorms is just a component in the warming process of our sun. And of course nobody points out that similar “other mechanisms” could be at work on Earth either. That’s not science.

To sell socialism, you need panic. To get that panic you need a massive problem that big government can claim to be the only solution for. Man made GW is something you can claim to be able to control with massive government bureaucracy. Solar activity on the other hand you can not. That’s why we will never get the truth from the man made GW crowd.

Tax season

I just noticed when I checked my banking information online this morning that the IRS cashed the check I sent them. Uncle Sam is claiming to have collected enough dough from individual filers to hit a new record: $48.7 billion to be exact. The previous record was $36.4 billion in 2006. The moneys talked about are those withheld from individuals over the course of the year, but paid to the government before this year’s April 17 income-tax deadline. Government is expected to suck $2.5 trillion dollars out of our economy this year. The bulk of that cash will go to pay for social spending that buys politicians votes. What a waste.

More proof man made Global Warming movement is a sham..

If you are not aware of the global attack by the socialist leftist movement for one world government’s campaign of fear based on the claim that man is causing the planet to warm up and eventually will wipe most life on it, you must be living under a rock. Many of us people that are more interested in the science than the emotion have not only remained skeptical, but become more and more convinced this has nothing to do with the environment and everything to do with creating a problem so monumental that only a global government can solve it. Of course this would be a big socialist global entity that would need to levy hefty taxes on the prosperous West to help out the third world which was exploited and now is denied the chance to experience the same industrial growth of the West. Anyone else see the resemblance to the guilt trip caused by those promoting that good old Soviet propaganda piece that it was colonialism that has kept the third world poor, and not the fact that those cultures simply were backwards and too often fell for the very lies of Marxism and socialism instead of embracing the freedoms & property protection rights that allowed the West to grow prosperous, or the crowd of hucksters making slave reparations demand from people that have never had slaves in the US?

Anyway, the point is that this new religion of the socialists & the guilted masses - man made global warming - has made people do all kinds of things to claim they really have a problem and are trying to deal with it. From idiotic ideas like the Kyoto accord - which was cooked up by socialist European nations afraid the capitalist US would force them to abandon their failed socialist system as it left them in the economic dirt - to the idea of buying carbon offsets, these people have cooked scheme after scheme to make it look like there is a problem and they are trying to do something about it. Guess what? It looks like most others are catching on to what anyone that has not fallen for the MMGW religion has known from the start, and are now figuring out that it is all ridiculous pandering & smoke screens with little if any real effects. Now if those that believe like Manbearpig and are serial about MMGW really felt that we were doomed to experience cataclysmic environmental changes unless they got their way, are pulling money moving schemes like this carbon offset crap instead of producing the logical engineering and technical solutions one would expect people that had a real concern and needed to make a tangible change would, why would anyone not add up 2 and 2 and realize this entire movement is a shell game?

It looks like Gaia is in bed with Marx and if we can go by experience and look at how well that combination has worked in places like the USSR, North Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Cuba, China and so on, we should all see the real cataclysm heading our way is letting these idiots get their way and oppress us all with their global socialist government. These places do not have a particularly clean track record, in fact they all have horrendous ones, and Gaia looks more like an abused woman or rape victim than a loved partner. I for one will not play along and expose these crooks every time I can.

I think Howard Dean, Chairman of the DNC, finally admitted that democrats are unable to tell the truth these days if media is around. What he likely means is that alternative media - Fox News, talk radio, and other such organizations that re not beholden to or outright propaganda arms of the DNC - causes democrats to be unable to say what they mean & believe. The traditional MSM has always cushioned, or when there was no way to repackage it and make it look palatable simply ignored, what democrats say and believe. These days that is no longer possible with so many other sources of news that are not controlled by the DNC and sharing the democrat agenda and that frightens them. So the solution proposed by the DNC chair? Don’t let the media in so there will be no record of what these democrats really say. How pathetic is that?

Just look at how these democrats tailor their speeches to their audience. Visit with some Jewish interests? Promise them you will protect the state of Israel. Talking to Muslims? Agree with them that Israel is the problem and you will not kow-tow to the Jewish lobby! Talking about the war in Iraq? Tell the moonbats that you agree with them America is an evil, imperialist, oil stealing nation and that our occupying terrorist army that the rest of the delusional lemmings refer to as “the troops” should be pulled out and sent packing, after telling some jokes about how sweet & just it is when these warmongers die or are injured, because they are just evil servants of the cabal that has invented this threat of terrorism anyway. Then go in front of veterans or other concerned citizens that do believe the terrorists are a threat, and tell them you really want to bring the troops home because you care about them. And with no media - read media other than the America hating components that are beholden to the DNC - around to hear this and call you on it you can try to fool all the people all the time!

Can you get any lower than these scumbags?

What is going on these days

Well I have not posted much lately because I have been too busy with other things and this is just a hobby, but I have some time today to discuss the goings on of late. Where to start.. Ah yeah Iraq. Our troops are fighting and trying to win while the left is hard at work, not just undermining their cause, but making sure they lose. After all, we all know that the only war the left is behind is that against civilization, and this crap about limiting the use of toilet paper is just another example of their radicalized views. Just look at how Harry Reid is hard at work aiding the enemy. Think our troops are not getting what is going on? And it is not just Islamic terrorism that the left is in love with. Oh how they love the red machine. I bet they still pine for the USSR. The Islamic enemy has not been vanquished yet people, as news of future plans continue to be found. It is not a question of how but when they will strike again. With Iran still busy working to build nukes, I wonder if the objection to this missile umbrella by the Russians isn’t because they are not under it. Maybe it will take a catastrophe like this to awaken these sheep to the fact their passivity and absolute desperate need to avoid conflict will guarantee us a certain world wide conflict. Just look at how South Korea, taking a stark lesson from the results of German reunification, is trying hard to avoid a Korean reunification, even when it props up a monstrosity.

And speaking of the VA massacre. Of course I knew as soon as it happened that the anti-gun crowd would blame the guns not the lunatic that did this - a true child of the left, inculcated with all the hatred for the very society that he lived in that is so prominent on the left these days, and as deranged as they come - for the deaths. I wonder how many people he would have killed if someone had been able to defend themselves with a fire arm. This slaughter was proof positive that gun bans don’t work. VA is a gun free zone. And yet here you have someone that didn’t respect neither those laws nor human life not just armed with a gun, but able to use it without fear of anyone being able to stop him. Of course anyone that points this out will pay for their heretical views. Mark Steyn got it right.

What else? Sanjaya is of Idol. How sad, since I was praying he would win so that idiotic show could die the death it deserves. Imus being a racist tool might be making a difference although the Jesse Jacksons & Al Sharptons of the world sure do not like this kind of talk. The SCOTUS ruled against partial birth abortions. Democrats are still trying to create a politically motivated scandal even though the WH is telling them they will not play ball. And stupid juries are still able to be outlaywered into letting horrible monsters walk. Speaking of horrible monsters.

Bitchslapping the Gaia freaks

Every once in a while the people in the MSM are forced to give the other side time, and when they do it is usually devastating to the nut job agenda. This time we have a Newsweek article dealing with debunking the usual global warming mythology claiming climate changes will doom us all (unless we embrace world socialism and let government redistribute our wealth to save us all). Anyway, Richard S. Lindzen, Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Meteorology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology simply points out the hypocrisy that abounds from the side that claims global warming is man made, will kill us all unless we accept global socialist government as the answer, and that their predictions are not only accurate but a given unless they get their way. I did have a chuckle at the disclaimer at the bottom of the article:

Lindzen is the Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Meteorology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research has always been funded exclusively by the U.S. government. He receives no funding from any energy companies.

How sad it is that he must disclaim contact with the real world in order to avoid being dismissed as a shill. Suddenly working for any kind of energy industry - but especially the oil industry - means you are bound to lie about the environment? Looks like we have gone from the days where all conservatives were accused of wanting to pollute and destroy the environment to now saying it is just people that have big businesses that make money. I guess the lefty nut jobs have not figured out that the same argument that forced them to drop the “conservatives want to destroy the planet” motto applies here too. I mean, do energy company people (execs, employees, and stock holders) have their own supplies of clean air, water, and food they have been keeping from the rest of us yokels? Because if they don’t, and I suspect they don’t have it, they too have to breath the same air we do, drink the same water we do, and eat the same food we do. So claiming they want to make the planet uninhabitable is about as legit as claiming communism & socialism are good for humanity based on their track record.

Go read this article. Pay attention to the points made. Hysteria doesn’t make a good argument you nut jobs. Besides, anyone that is not blinded by the religious aspect of this global warming movement should realize the changes come from solar activity and that the answers are going to have to be technical/engineering ones, and not socialism on a global scale like the “Gaia” freaks tell us.

Looks like we are not so good at stealing oil

One of the contentions from the nuts that claim going to Iraq was about stealing oil, should look up who is getting the contracts. Granted these contracts are not for the whole kit & caboodle, but if we were stealing the oil, why are Iraqis picking who is getting the contracts?

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com)—Despite claims by some critics that the Bush administration invaded Iraq to take control of its oil, the first contracts with major oil firms from Iraq’s new government are likely to go not to U.S. companies, but rather to companies from China, India, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

While Iraqi lawmakers struggle to pass an agreement on exactly who will award the contracts and how the revenue will be shared, experts say a draft version that passed the cabinet earlier this year will likely uphold agreements previously signed by those countries under Saddam Hussein’s government. “The Chinese could announce something within the next few months” if all goes well with the oil law, said James Placke, a senior associate at Cambridge Energy Research Associates who specializes in the Middle East. The Asian firms are at an advantage for several reasons.

First, less constrained by Western sanctions during the Hussein regime, they’ve been operating in Iraq and know the country’s oilfields, said Falah Aljibury, an energy analyst who has advised several Iraqi oil ministers as well as other OPEC nations. Aljibury said the first contracts likely awarded will be to the Chinese in the south central part of Iraq, the Vietnamese in the south, the Indians along the Kuwaiti border, and the Indonesians in the western desert. The contracts under consideration are small.

This is not news to me. With China lining up to drill in the Gulf & around Florida while we here in the US are told that will never happen by the environuts, I suspected they would also get much of the Iraqi deals. After all, the Chinese government has figured out that the best way to guarantee the flow of oil to China is to make sure they own & operate as much of the world’s infrastructure. Not to mention that gives them a powerful tool in times of war.

Orchestrated campaign to convince people all is lost goes on

I am not surprised that the MSM has left behind all semblance of objectivity in their campaign to convince the American public Iraq is a failure and can not be fixed. All you need to do is watch what the MSM chooses to cover and how and then go read or watch what the troops and people actually on the ground have to say about what is going on for you to realize they do not report anything positive and exaggerate the negative. Case in point this ridiculous article by the Times which declares that the US military is broken down and a lost cause. How pathetic. Originally these MSM outlets have tried to convince us that recruiting was way down because of lack of support for the GWoT and Iraq specifically. When the military produced numbers after numbers showing they were full of shit, the MSM tried to spin it that the military was reducing their acceptance standards and quite a few MSM outlets even went so far as to say that they were lying to kids to get them to join. Of course when that went no where as well they were left with only this latest tactic of saying that the military is now broke. Of course it is nothing but more of the same anti-war/anti-America/anti-Bush propaganda and it will be shown as such.

These leftists in the MSM are getting desperate. More and more news out of Iraq is showing that even with the limited numbers so far deployed the new strategy of surging is working and working well. This despite the active effort from the left to undermine this surge at every possible opportunity, and giving the enemy as many signals as possible not to give up their cause. The left has banked their electoral hopes on making Iraq a failure - the consequences to that be damned - and they will not let America win. Doubly so if it involves a win that comes from a military solution that the Bushies have put in place.

Britian humiliated

With crap like this going on, it is no wonder that while the Iranians are going out of their way to humiliate the British by coercing false & humiliating confessions, and the mobs attack British soil for fun, all the Brits can do is talk though. There are those that claim this hostage takeover is because the Iranian leadership is split and factions are fighting for favor, while others point out that the hostages are a smoke screen in a much more dangerous game of brinkmanship. But there is no denying that the current useless talk, especially through idiotic & impotent organizations like the EU & UN, will be fruitless.

The time to have prevented this disaster was when the British warship Cornwall could have shot the Iranian assets involved in this dastardly act of piracy & war to pieces and prevented them from being taken hostage. Now the British find themselves impotent, and Iran will continue to score cheap political victories, at their expense. In the end only force will deter a greater conflict, but it looks like we are hell bent on making sure we do not use that force until it costs us all the most. I have to say that it was a brilliant move by the Iranians to nab British troops - their repeated attempts to get US troops have all met with horrible and humiliating failure - because it is now used to manipulate opinion in the direction of Iranian claims that the Europeans and all Westerners lack both the will or ability to deter them. Then again, in a country riddled with crime where cops waste time harassing kids over e-mails (we are not talking about a threat of force or death here but name calling) while leaving hard criminals free to terrorize the population, and practically every one of these Western socialist states in Europe have this crime problem, the Iranians might be right on claiming these people are weak. More proof of why socialism sucks I guess.
