This sounds like a bad deal to me..

Well it looks like we have an agreement with the NKs to stop their nuclear program and they are now ready to comply. Supposedly they will dismantle said program in return for energy subsidies. This sounds a lot like the deal Carter/Albright/Clinton gave us back in the mid 1990s. We all know how well that worked. So we are not building them a light water reactor this time. But didn’t we try to pay the same kind of blackmail only to have the NKs go back to their nuke program practically immediately? We are being told the problem with that first deal was that it was just between the NKs and the US and so when they reneged there was no loss of face or repercussion for them, but because this new deal has 4 additional partners, the dynamics have changed. You mean to tell me that the NKs will now not break the deal for fear China, Russia, Japan or SK might be offended? Please! The Chinese and the Russians would not mind the NKs breaking this agreement the second it is profitable for them. The SKs have gone so soft they would actually defend the NKs breaking the agreement. I guess if I saw what happened to Germany after the Eastern government collapsed and East & West Germany unified, I too would fear the NK collapse and the consequences of a North Korea/South Korea reunification. The only party - other than the US that is - likely to get pissed is Japan, and I for one think the NKs would not care anyway.  What the hell do I know. Maybe this is a brilliant move and it will work out. The NK leadership knows they are on the brink of a total collapse and I would not be surprised this is just to buy them time. On the other hand it buys us time too. Time will tell.

Useful idiots in the EU figure Iran nuke a done deal

Well I can not say that I am surprised that the morons at the EU - another talking heads socialist group modeled after the even more corrupt and useless UN and solely in existence to prop up French ego and anti-Americanism - seems to conclude that Iran’s nuclear program is a done deal. This of course comes right at the time that the democrats want to cause problems for us in Iraq with queen Nancy leading the way, and right after other anti-American idiots make ridiculous claims that it is all made up so evil Americans can bomb Iran. Of course I expect people led by “cheese-eating surrender monkeys” to conclude Iran will get a bomb and nothing can be done about it. After all, these are the idiots that think talk should solve anything and everything, force is never the solution, and that Bismarck’s most important saying that war was the final and most effective tool of diplomacy, is false. History be damned! Maybe these Euro-monkeys should focus more on how they were freed from Nazi domination and the Pacific was spared domination by Imperial Japan. I bet they also never get told that the reason we won the Cold War and the USSR collapsed was because Reagan chose to be strong and fight and not turn over and expose our soft belly to the bear.

But there is an even more important message to this defeatist EU admission that all their talk has failed. These bastards know that Iran has the Jews of Israel and American assets in their crosshairs and figure if push comes to shove, it is just pesky Jews and Americans that will die – something I think most of those anti-Semites & anti-capitalist/anti-Americans in Europe probably see as a bonus – and then they, as Chirac pointed out, will have plenty of time to nuke Iran and pretend it was justified. In the mean time these socialist will be more than happy to let Iran hold the world’s oil hostage and foment instability in the Middle East while hiding under its new nuclear umbrella. Of course everybody in the Middle East will feel obliged to go nuclear – no Arab state has wanted to go nuclear because Israel had nukes but everyone that has tried has done so to threaten their neighbors – and once we have Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, Kuwait and so on, just to name a few, building nukes, Armageddon is not to far away.

It is not true that Iran’s nuclear program is a done deal. We can stop this by toppling Iran’s current government and destroying the capability with extreme force. But these Europeans, like the Chinese and Russians, have concluded that the risk is acceptable since they are not the ones in the crosshairs for now. If there was any justice they would be made to pay for their cowardice and idiotic defeatist beliefs. They deserve to be dhimmis subjugated to their Islamic masters. After all, they have already surrendered.

She still doesn’t get it..

I had to stifle a laugh when I read at Natalie Maines’ commentary made last night during the Grammies (confession:  I do not watch this crap or any other crap out of Hollywood because I know it is all politically motivated idiocy instead of really rewarding the successful people) in this piece:

The Dixie Chicks, nominated for a total of five awards, ran the table. In winning album of the year for ‘’Taking the Long Way,’’ the Chicks’ first disc since the country backlash over lead singer Natalie Maines’ criticism of President Bush in 2003, Maines said, ‘’People are using their freedom of speech tonight [by giving us] all these awards. I’m very humbled.’’

This again proves to me how stupid liberals are. “The people”, miss Maines? “The people” that decided you deserved this award, over much more capable performers Ii should add, are not the “American people”, as you intimate, but a bunch of political Hollywood hacks. “The people” are those people that have stopped coming to your concert or buying your crappy screeds after you dissed them and their beliefs on stage and in another country. Why should anyone be surprised a leftist has no clue about “the people” as usual however?

Facts contradicting the new man-made Global Warming religious fanatic’s beliefs

Another great article, likely not to receive much if any positive coverage by the priesthood of man-made global warming, points out how climate research has become a politicized religion that deprives people of any real scientific research on the subject.

Twenty years ago, climate research became politicized in favor of one particular hypothesis, which redefined the subject as the study of the effect of greenhouse gases. As a result, the rebellious spirits essential for innovative and trustworthy science are greeted with impediments to their research careers. And while the media usually find mavericks at least entertaining, in this case they often imagine that anyone who doubts the hypothesis of man-made global warming must be in the pay of the oil companies. As a result, some key discoveries in climate research go almost unreported.

Enthusiasm for the global-warming scare also ensures that heatwaves make headlines, while contrary symptoms, such as this winter’s billion-dollar loss of Californian crops to unusual frost, are relegated to the business pages. The early arrival of migrant birds in spring provides colourful evidence for a recent warming of the northern lands. But did anyone tell you that in east Antarctica the Adélie penguins and Cape petrels are turning up at their spring nesting sites around nine days later than they did 50 years ago? While sea-ice has diminished in the Arctic since 1978, it has grown by 8% in the Southern Ocean.
So one awkward question you can ask, when you’re forking out those extra taxes for climate change, is “Why is east Antarctica getting colder?” It makes no sense at all if carbon dioxide is driving global warming. While you’re at it, you might inquire whether Gordon Brown will give you a refund if it’s confirmed that global warming has stopped. The best measurements of global air temperatures come from American weather satellites, and they show wobbles but no overall change since 1999.

That levelling off is just what is expected by the chief rival hypothesis, which says that the sun drives climate changes more emphatically than greenhouse gases do. After becoming much more active during the 20th century, the sun now stands at a high but roughly level state of activity. Solar physicists warn of possible global cooling, should the sun revert to the lazier mood it was in during the Little Ice Age 300 years ago.

Climate history and related archeology give solid support to the solar hypothesis. The 20th-century episode, or Modern Warming, was just the latest in a long string of similar events produced by a hyperactive sun, of which the last was the Medieval Warming.

But you see the problem with the priesthood of man-made global warming is that they really have attached their socialist agenda to this false belief and the panic it engenders because if they blamed the sun they would have nothing to push their agenda with. We should be saddened and worried that no real debate can occur as long as these people continue to try and silence any debate or dissention. Especially since these druids want to stick us all with a global socialist government that will redistribute wealth - in the name of social justice of course - which really does nothing to address this problem if it really is man made. These lefties should take a good look at a page out of their own play book about how religious fanaticism is a dangerous thing. And their man-made global warming campaign is nothing short of a cultish socialist religion based on nothing but faith and terrible pseudo-science. Buyer beware.

How many of these will we see?

I wonder how many more honest articles pointing out the results of the minimum wage hikes - the one enacted by the donkey congress recently comes to mind - like this one will we see out there. Fact is that the minimum wage hike serves only to help the typical democrat constituents in unions that tie their wages to the minimum wage, and consequently helps union leaders which are predominantly and completely beholden to democrats in collecting more & bigger dues. Dues that then way too often go to democrat campaign coffers despite the membership’s dislike of that practice. In the mean time teenagers trying to get their first jobs and experience, get shafted by the very people that claim to care about them. But never dare point that out or they will call you names.

Ronald Reagan and the fall of communism

Recently liberals have been hard at work to discredit Ronald Reagan’s work to bring down the evil USSR. See Reagan, a conservative, did everything the left hates to win. When the left called for us to show weakness and plead for mercy, Reagan called for us to strengthen ourselves. Instead of accepting the call for unilateral disarmament and for dealing from weakness with the USSR in order to convince them America meant them no harm like the left - which way too often was too enamored with the brutal and evil USSR because the principle of communism played well with these types leading them to ignore the reality or explain it away as a necessary evil to have in the global struggle of the oppressed masses succeed - Reagan built up our forces and put the USSR in a military race it could never win against the successful and powerful economy of the US. Heck, why do you think the Chinese dropped communist beliefs about their economy and embraced capitalism at least for economic purposes? When the left demanded we not antagonize the Kremlin, Reagan made it a point to call them what they where - evil - and make sure they understood the US would never capitulate or go down without a fight. When the left kept making excuses about how wonderful communism was because everyone was treated equally - equally miserably except if you were one of the leaders that is - had access to healthcare (as non-existent as it was), and got an education (more like an indoctrination intended to make you feel superior when everything around you proved otherwise), Reagan pointed out how dysfunctionally evil communism which oppressed its people and robbed them of everything was. In short, Ronald Reagan showed the left how stupid their love of communism/socialism was and brought down their hope of forcing us all to live under it.

image

Oh, the average lib today will tell you they never liked or agreed with the USSR. That is bull. Talk to them long enough, and with a few exceptions, they will all admit they thought the wrong side won the Cold War. They will regale you with stories about the “American Empire” and how humanity took a step back because the poor USSR never had a good chance to show us all the wonders of communism because it had to compete with Western capitalist nations. The irony of that statement, that capitalism is so far superior to communism that communism could not compete with it and required an absence of capitalism to stand a chance, never penetrating their thick indoctrinated skulls. They will tell you that Reagan was a two bit player. After all, the USSR didn’t collapse while he was in office, and it would not have done so were it not for the noble efforts of Michael Gorbachev! Give credit to a conservative? Admit that the left was (and still is) wrong, and that us bargaining from a position of strength and showing that we had the will to fight to the bitter end, that capitalism and America were better? Never! Hence the propaganda to discredit Reagan and to pretend the left didn’t almost make it possible for the USSR to nuke us and take over the planet – something I am now certain 4 more years of that idiot Jimmy Carter would have done – and force us all into slavery.

But some people know better and now want to honor the man that made their freedom possible. Note whom they want to honor, and it isn’t any of the people that the left will tell you they think were responsible for bringing down the misunderstood USSR.

Opponents of Poland’s former communist regime reportedly want to pay a posthumous homage to US President Ronald Reagan by erecting his statue in the place of a Soviet-era monument. In an open letter to the mayor of the southwestern city of Katowice, the former anti-regime activists said that the staunchly anti-communist Reagan had been a “symbol of liberty,” the Polish news agency PAP reported. As a result, they said, he deserved to become the centrepiece of the city’s Freedom Square, replacing a monument to the Soviet troops who drove out the occupying Nazis in 1945. They also said that they wanted the site to be rebaptised “Ronald Reagan Freedom Square.”

The poles that directly got to experience the “wonders” of that oh-so-beloved communism that the left pines for from the days of the USSR, know who made it possible for their nation to finally break free from that chokehold that had almost destroyed them. In fact this is not an isolated incident.

There are already separate plans to erect a statue in memory of Reagan in the centre of the Polish capital, Warsaw, which would be paid-for from private funds.

Like I say- if you want an accurate depiction of the facts, look at what the people that got to experience the evils of the USSR and of communism first hand have to say about it. Don’t listen to the idiots on the left whom only want to rewrite history to cover up their complicity, lessen the evidence about the evils of communism, and brainwash the masses to consider it, or its evil half brother socialism, here at home. Oh yeah, if you ever wondered why they hate Bush so much, you might say one of the most important reasons is that they see that he was taking over from Reagan and refusing to surrender to our next enemy too like the left wants. They will be damned if they let conservative ideals of strength and purpose get another win like Reagan did. America must lose for socialism and one world government to work.

That old-new religion gone mad..

Secular progressives or liberals have abandoned God, religion, and any morality tied to religion or God, because they didn’t like the restrictions it imposed and the fact they would eventually be judged by a higher power. But man’s drive for something bigger always wins out, so now we have man made Global Warming, with socialist big government redistributing wealth as the sole solution, as their new religion. Think I am kidding? Check out how the people that challenge their new faith are spoken of:

I would like to say we’re at a point where global warming is impossible to deny. Let’s just say that global warming deniers are now on a par with Holocaust deniers, though one denies the past and the other denies the present and future.

So people that have not bought into the left’s pipe dream of man-made Global Warming and their predictions and solutions have now been placed on par with those people that deny that Jews were brutally slaughter by Nazi Germany during WWII? Anyone else see this as hysteria and faith gone awry? What is this other than faith? Most people agree temperature changes are occurring. Most intelligent & educated people also are pretty sure this isn’t a new phenomenon – the world has seen drastic temperature shifts and has never had a fixed system, long before man even came into the picture, but when you hear these fanatics talking it seems temperature changes have never happened before – and many of us are not even sure if it is a bad thing or not. Couple that with crazies that tell us it is all man’s fault when the science is clear that the likely culprits are primarily the sun – we have measured the same increase in global temperatures on Mars, and they have no people or man made CO2 gas issues - and changes in the earth’s own orbit, and you have big problems. And let’s not forget that these Global Warming religious fanatics are always suggesting socialism and redistribution of wealth (in the name of social justice) as the only solution to the problem.

All action proposed to reduce the impact always is heavily anti-capitalist and devastating to the most prosperous and efficient economy on the planet: that of the US. Never do we hear a call for real technological solutions – pie-in-the-sky new fuels and horribly inefficient technologies like wind and solar energy will never make a difference – like nuclear, geothermal, or liquefied coal power generation coupled with a more robust and efficient distribution and storage capability. The reality is that the combustion engine is still the most efficient and effective thing out there. Why do these people not want us to do more drilling in our own hemisphere for natural gas and oil to reduce our dependence on foreign energy considering we would do a much better and cleaner job of it?

See, Global Warming has become the new religion of the anti-capitalist, anti-American progressive socialist which really believes that mankind needs a catalyst to speed that one world socialist government that can finally bring social justice for them. Why believe you have to wait till the next life like the crazy God people when what you want is paradise here on earth? Personally having seen the wonders of socialism and communism – Nazi Germany, the USSR, China, Cuba, North Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, and so on – I am not inclined to agree that they have the right idea. Seems like they are shooting more for a hell on earth by promising us that unless we let them make that hell nature will give us hell. I pick nature over their idiotic Global Warming socialist religion any day.

Reality does not apply…

At this time when idiots like “Red” Ted Turner tells us that ”Global Warming is the ‘single greatest challenge that humanity ever faced’” - and as far as the fact socialists are using a fear campaign centered around Global Warming to scare us all into allowing a global socialist government to take over and redistribute the world’s wealth, according to Al Gore himself, thus dooming mankind to the horrors of communism & socialism he is dead on - those that use their head and not their heart can find lots of proof that the entire Global Warming doom & gloom crowd is off their rockers with things like this, and this. Maybe they should follow Larry Elder’s advice and tell people that Global Warming makes people gay. It is likely to be as reliable of a claim as the current ones that require the US to give up its capitalistic ways, wealth, and sovereignty to a world government of parasites. Want to know what the biggest threat against humanity is? Check out what Iran is saying, doing, or intent on doing while the European countries hesitate on imposing sanctions while the US implores them to comply and seem to be making a military solution the only possible way to stop Iran from starting another holocaust and global war.

Happy birthday Ronald Reagan!

Today is the birthday of the President I most admire: Ronald Reagan, the man that saved us from the Soviet Empire. Had he been alive today he would have turned 96. God Bless! This country is alive and well today because of you. Wish another like you would come along to help us in these trying times.

Edwards exposes the donkey lie about Bush and Iraq

Well it looks like in his hope to stick one to Hillary Clinton and hamstring her in the 2008 elections, John Edwards whom sat on the Senate intelligence committee, has just admitted that the democrats have been lying to us when they claim Bush lied about the Iraqi intelligence and the cause to go to war. Seems like Edwards so much as admitted in this interview with Russert on “Meet the Press” that what conservatives have been saying every time donkeys claimed Bush made up or manipulated the intelligence that convinced them to vote for the Iraqi war they had been lying, and even worse, that they at the time believed the exact same thing Bush believed:

MR. RUSSERT: I’m going to go back to October of 2002, that critical week when the Senate was debating the war and you gave a speech to the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

SEN. EDWARDS: Yes, sir.

MR. RUSSERT: Let’s watch it and come back and talk about it.

(Videotape, October 7, 2002)

SEN. EDWARDS: My position is very clear. The time has come for decisive action to eliminate the threat posed by Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction. I’m a co-sponsor of the bipartisan resolution that is presently under consideration in the Senate. Saddam Hussein’s regime is a grave threat to America and our allies. We know that he has chemical and biological weapons today, that he’s used them in the past, and that he’s doing everything he can to build more. Every day he gets closer to his long-term goal of nuclear capability.

(End videotape)

MR. RUSSERT: “ A grave threat to America,” do you still believe that?

SEN. EDWARDS: No.

MR. RUSSERT: Why were you so wrong?

SEN. EDWARDS: For the same reason a lot of people were wrong. You know, we—the intelligence information that we got was wrong. I mean, tragically wrong. On top of that I’d—beyond that, I went back to former Clinton administration officials who gave me sort of independent information about what they believed about what was happening with Saddam’s weapon—weapons programs. They were also wrong. And, based on that, I made the wrong judgment. I, I, I want to go another step, though, because I think this is more than just weapons of mass destruction. I mean, I—at the—I remember vividly what I was thinking about at the time. It was, first, I was convinced he had weapons of mass destruction. That’s turned out to be completely wrong and false.  I had internal conflict because I was worried about what George Bush would do. I didn’t have—I didn’t have confidence about him doing the work that needed to be done with the international community, the lead-up to a potential invasion in Iraq. I didn’t know, in fairness, that he would be as incompetent as he’s been in the administration of the war. But I had—there were at least two things going on. It wasn’t just the weapons of mass destruction I was wrong about. It’s become absolutely clear—and I’m very critical of myself for this—become absolutely clear, looking back, that I should not have given this president this authority.

MR. RUSSERT: At that time, however, Senator Kennedy’s saying, “ This is not an imminent threat.” General Zinni, who led the military in that region, said this is the wrong war.

SEN. EDWARDS: Mm-hmm.

MR. RUSSERT: General Scowcroft, former President Bush’s national security advisor. And the National Intelligence Estimate that was given to you and now made public had some real caveats, and this is one of them. “ The activities we have detected do not ... add up to a compelling case that Iraq is currently pursuing what INR [the State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research] would consider to be an integrated and comprehensive approach to acquire nuclear weapons.” Do you remember seeing that?

SEN. EDWARDS: Mm-hmm, I did see it. I mean, I, I think it was—there were serious questions about whether—again, we’re looking back. Now we know none of this was true. But, at the time, there were serious questions about any effort to obtain nuclear weapons, which is what that statement just was. All of us believed there was no question that he had chemical and biological weapons, and there was at least some scattered evidence that he was making an effort to get nuclear weapons.

MR. RUSSERT: But it seems as if, as a member of the intelligence committee, you just got it dead wrong, and that you even ignored some caveats and ignored people who were urging caution.

SEN. EDWARDS: Well, I, I, I would—first of all, I don’t want to defend this. Let me be really clear about this. I think anybody who wants to be president of the United States has got to be honest and open, be willing to admit when they’ve done things wrong. One of the things, unfortunately, that’s happened in Iraq is we’ve had a president who was completely unmoving, wouldn’t change course, wouldn’t take any responsibility or admit that he’d made any mistakes. And I think America, in fact the world has paid a huge price for that. So I accept my responsibility. I’m not defending what I did. Because what happened was the information that we got on the intelligence committee was, was relatively consistent with what I was getting from former Clinton administration officials. I told you a few minutes ago I was concerned about giving this president the authority, and I turned out to be wrong about that.

And there you have it. This president wannabe ADMITS that the intelligence Bush had was the same as that provided by the Clintons, and that practically EVERYBODY that had seen it agreed Saddam had WMDS - bio and chemical agents - and was working to get nukes, with a few exceptions that probably dissented for personal reasons. Of course, he is now figuring it is opportunistic to take a shot at the Clintons - especially Hillary - since Bush can no longer run for office, and that the MSM which has its own bone to pick with her, will give him a pass on this. Wonder if anyone on the campaign trail will bring this up and hammer it home.

Global warming huh?

Well another PhD is pointing out that man-made global warming is s sham at the same time that bitter cold is gripping the North East, Hawaii is dealing with a major cold spell, and the cold is brutal even in places where it usually doesn’t get cold. Sure some places have experienced some milder than usual weather, but many have also experienced seriously colder weather than usual. Of course the alarmists are focusing only on that information that helps them peddle the global warming scare and demand we all give in to a one-world government that will redistribute wealth in the name of social justice and solve all our problems. Anyway, here is an excerpt:

No sensible person seeks conflict, especially with governments, but if we don’t pursue the truth, we are lost as individuals and as a society. That is why I insist on saying that there is no evidence that we are, or could ever cause global climate change. And, recently, Yuri A. Izrael, Vice President of the United Nations sponsored Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) confirmed this statement. So how has the world come to believe that something is wrong?

Maybe for the same reason we believed, 30 years ago, that global cooling was the biggest threat: a matter of faith. “It is a cold fact: the Global Cooling presents humankind with the most important social, political, and adaptive challenge we have had to deal with for ten thousand years. Your stake in the decisions we make concerning it is of ultimate importance; the survival of ourselves, our children, our species,” wrote Lowell Ponte in 1976.

I was as opposed to the threats of impending doom global cooling engendered as I am to the threats made about Global Warming. Let me stress I am not denying the phenomenon has occurred. The world has warmed since 1680, the nadir of a cool period called the Little Ice Age (LIA) that has generally continued to the present. These climate changes are well within natural variability and explained quite easily by changes in the sun. But there is nothing unusual going on.

Since I obtained my doctorate in climatology from the University of London, Queen Mary College, England my career has spanned two climate cycles. Temperatures declined from 1940 to 1980 and in the early 1970’s global cooling became the consensus. This proves that consensus is not a scientific fact. By the 1990’s temperatures appeared to have reversed and Global Warming became the consensus. It appears I’ll witness another cycle before retiring, as the major mechanisms and the global temperature trends now indicate a cooling.

No doubt passive acceptance yields less stress, fewer personal attacks and makes career progress easier. What I have experienced in my personal life during the last years makes me understand why most people choose not to speak out; job security and fear of reprisals. Even in University, where free speech and challenge to prevailing wisdoms are supposedly encouraged, academics remain silent.

Dead on! We already see the reactions of those that get angry at the people pointing out the man-made global warming agenda is bull. For now when exposed they are ridiculed, but I am afraid a time is coming where the tide will turn and these socialists with an agenda will be able to silence anyone that disagrees with them. Global warming has become the new religion of the progressive masses. It is about faith in the gospel that man is responsible for climate change and that only social justice will address this properly and restore balance. Thus science is manipulated to produce the desired outcome while those that reject or question it get accused of being unscientific. As an engineer it is impossible for me to simply ignore the impact of the sun on climate. Especially since as a sane person I also do not buy that the cure is a socialist takeover with the objective to redistribute wealth. But that is just me.

French bravado at other’s expense

Of course Chirac has no problem letting the mad men running Iran get a couple of nuclear weapons, because as he himself points out in this NYT article, if they nuked Israel, Tehran would be next. How much do you want to bet that if the Iranian mad men had Paris in their crosshairs and designated as their first target that the old anti-Semite, Chirac that is, would be saying any nukes in the hands of these mad men were unacceptable? No wonder these socialist anti-Semite idiots on the left want diplomacy to be the only tool used against Iran’s nuclear ambition. When they let the Iranians get a bomb and those end-of-time advocates wipe Israel of the map despite the threat of retaliation, they can retaliate with nukes and kill the Iranians while granstanding about another holocaust. For them this is nothing but scoring a double win. Maybe Israel should tell the French that if the Iranians nuke them, in addition to Tehran and a few other Iranian cities going up in nuclear smoke, the Israelis will hit a few French cities out of spite too. Wonder if Chirac will think letting Iran get nukes then is worth it.
